Bottled Beer
We have categorized our beer list by style to help you whittle away at our long list and decide what you are in the mood for. Note that many of our beers are the jumbo 22 oz. bottle, which is double the size of a regular bottle of beer!
Hefeweisen / Wheat
Hefe means yeast and Weizen means wheat. Traditional Bavarian Hefe Weizen is cloudy from wheat proteins and suspended yeast. It has a thick, white and long lasting head. The nose carries strong hints of bananas and clove. The flavor carries the same banana and clove characteristics with barely perceptible hops bittering. The mouthfeel is full and soft.
This is a Copper-gold wheat beer that develops an aromatic scent with harmonious banana and citrus fruits. Due to the higher carbon dioxide content, it is particularly lively and sparkling.
This is an American Wheat Beer, no banana or clove in this one. Easy to drink, with nice zest and lemon citrus flavors and aromas from the hops balance with slight malt sweetness and just a wee bit kick of sour from the wheat.
Rich and complex malt flavor balanced with a little bit ospicy noble hops and strong influences of fermentation esters from the Belgian yeast used.

This is the double gold medal winning Brainless Belgian, with added organic peach puree and aged in French Chardonnay casks with champagne yeast. Served on the warm side of cold in a wine glass to display the fruit.

Smoked cherry wood malt bring a smoky sweetness to the caramel malts and a bit of peat flavor with a Belgian-style yeast. The entire batch aging in the whiskey barrels nicely dries out the perceived sweetness of the caramel malt leaving an almost scotch like taste.

The sweet, fruitiness of Michigan cherries is balanced against the crisp cereal, notes from the malted wheat and thd subtle finish from noble hops. A touch of honey is added for sweetness. Refreshing, but long complexity.
The blackberries are combined with a hint of traditional orange and coriander to complement the malt character and give a smooth finish thats both sweet and tart.
IPA
IPAs have a generous amount of hops which were originally meant to protect the beer from spoilage during long ship rides for British troops in the 1700s.
This is a big beer with lots of complex malt flavor and excessive hops. This beer will have changes to the grain bill and seasonal hop changes.

This classic American IPA has a golden copper color, generous hop flavors, and aromas and the maltiness of premium English barley.
This is a big, bold IPA with an intense multi-hop kick. A nice subtle dose of restraint is added by select Crystal and Carastan malts.
This is an Pimerial IPA, with a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit, and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer.

The traditional British pale ale style, which includes bitter and ESB, is a very pleasant and understated beer. It has a malty profile and just enough woody or lightly floral hops for balancing. The American and Australia version of this very mutable style are brasher. The maltiness is often dialed down and more aggressive hops varieties are used making it an exciting and spicy brew.
This interpretation of a classic style has a deep amber color and an exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. Generous quantities of premium Cascade hops give the Pale Ale its fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor.
Roasted chipotle peppers produce an eye opening chile flavor in this deep golden ale with a malty, smoky aroma and smooth, crisp flavor.

This unfiltered beer has flavors of orange and honey with a nice medium-sweet malt character.

Dark Ale
Brown ales tend to be lightly hopped, and fairly mildly flavored, often with a nutty taste. Sometimes the malt may be slightly caramelized to impart toffee notes
A nutty twist to traditional European Brown Ale. Dark brown in color with a hazelnut aroma, a rich nutty flavor and a smooth malty finish.

Think freshly baked rye bread in a bottle with just a hint of lemon and spices from the host and yeast. Enjoy both wheat and spice characters with a light silky texture.
Chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture, this is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spice added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts and Kent Golding, Liberty, and Willamette hops.
This beer pours a ruby colour with a white, thinnish head. The nose is quite subdued, with nettle and light malt notes and a nutty character. On the palate it is quite fresh and fruity, with moderate bitterness and a touch of malty sweetness.
Newcastle features fewer hops for a less bitter taste, a blend of light and dark malts for a unique, smooth flavor and a cool temperature for easy drinking.
Porter
There are many broad interpretations of modern porter so general tasting notes are difficult. The brew is very dark, almost opaque, though it should be clear when light does find its way through. The nose usually contains mild notes of roasted grains, chocolate, and toffee. There can also be undertones of coffee or licorice. The mouthfeel is thin but not watery. The flavor is always mild with none of the harsh or bitter notes of stout
A slight hop bitterness up front enhances the distinctive chocolate and roasted finish. Its prized for its creamy mouthfeel and intense complex flavors.
Ruddy brown in color, a bittersweet balance of malt and hops with a light cream finish.
This nostalgic porter evoke memories of chocolate and coffee around a campfire. The cherry wood smoked malt used in this beer gives it a heavy smokiness that blends smoothly into the chocolate malty body and silky finish.
A dark, full-bodied and drinkable beer, Galloway Porter highlights rich roasted chocolate and coffee-like malt flavors and aromas. It has a very mild hop addition so that the chocolate malt flavor can shine through.
Stout
The head of stout should be thick and is usually tan to brown. Its body should be very dark brown or black. Stouts are typically opaque but if any light does find its way through the beer should be clear. The nose should be grainy and can carry hints of coffee, chocolate, licorice, and molasses with no apparent hops. The flavor is similar to the nose and should be rich and full. The mouthfeel should be anything but watery. A good stout can be silky, full, and creamy.
Ebony in color with a rich creamy head. The mellow flavor of oats, chocolate malts and real chocolate are balanced perfectly with the right amount of hops for a bitter-sweet finish.

This massive Stout pouts a mahogany black with a thick brown head. The aroma is is all chocolate and toasted malt. Flavors embrace anise and dark, bitter chocolate, followed by coffee, smoke and rich sweet malt.

The iconic Irish Stout created over 200 years ago, with deep dark color, crisp roasted barley, and refreshing hops.
Bock is the original "liquid bread, referring to the oft told tale about monks brewing big beers to sustain themselves through long fasts. As such, you wouldn't think that bock would pair well with many foods being a meal unto itself. But its big sweetness with just enough bittering make it a good companion to foods that have lots of flavor. The key to pairing bock is to stay away from foods with subtle delicate flavors that will melt into nothing before it.
A classic German dark beer, bottom fermented Doppel Bock. Full bodied with a deep dark color and rich roasted malt flavor.
According to the Guinness Book of Records, this Austrian Bock is the strongest lagerin the world, weighing in at 14% ABV. This beer pours dark amber with an almost port-like appearance. It is very sweet and malty with a good dose of ripe fruits which open up even more as the beer warms

This is medium bodied beer brewed using several different roasts of malt to create a smooth body and depth of malt character.
The distinction of a lager vs. other beer, ale, is based on the type of yeast used to ferment the beer. Lager yeast cells tend to flocculate, or gather, towards the bottom of the fermentation tank. The yeast also prefers cooler temperatures. Pilsner, a type of light lager, is one of the youngest beer styles in the world. It was originally brewed in Plzen, Czech in 1842 and was an immediate hit. Many breweries have recreated the beer and used the name Pilsner, which is the name of the brewery where it was originally brewed, to describe the style.
