Chris Hansen
Rampage head coach Chris Hansen is a native of Racine, Wisconsin, where he was an athlete for St. Catherines High School. Chris attended Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, where he played offensive guard for the Duhawks from 1996-98 after transferring from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. After graduating from Loras with a degree in Sports Management, Coach Hansen then served as a graduate assistant for his alma mater where he coached the defensive line in 1999 and the offensive line in 2000. Coach Hansen then went to St. Cloud State (Minnesota) to not only complete his masters degree, but to also serve as an offensive linemen coach from 2000-01. Chris was then named as the offensive line coach at Dana College (Nebraska) and coached there from 2002-03 before moving to Austin College (Texas) where he served as both the offensive coordinator and offensive linemen coach from 2003-05. The Rampage is very fortunate to have Coach Hansen heading its program and hes very thrilled to be coaching again. Its nice to get the juices owing again, he said, the Board has obviously done a great job of putting together the organization... now its just my responsibility to get the job done on the eld. A resident of Webster City, Chris is employed with Merck Co. as a Customer Representative. He and his wife, Emily, have three children: Ella (4), Mia (2), and Dane (6 months).
Bill Smith
Billy is a native of Webster City and former Lynx player whose play as a wide receiver is still part of Purple & Gold lore. As a junior in 1982, Smith helped his team become the very rst Webster City squad to ever qualify for the Class 3A playoffs after going 9-0 during the regular season. Although Webster City lost to Harlan in the 1st Round, Bill earned 1st Team AllConference honors after hauling in 22 receptions for 442 yards and 9 touchdowns. The next season, he helped the 1983 squad set a new record for most wins in a season when the Lynx stormed to a 10-0 record before again losing to Harlan, this time in the Seminals. Coach Smith earned 1st Team All-State honors after leading the entire state (Class A-4A) in receiving with 48 receptions for 1,047 yards and 13 touchdowns. Twentyseven years after his last season, Billy still owns the Lynx record for most receiving yards in a season (955) and career (1,397). After graduating from WCHS in 1984, Billy played football at Iowa Central Community College for one season. He is very excited about being involved with the Rampage and will be working with the receiving corps and special teams. Coach Smith has also been coaching the 5th and 6th grade programs in Webster City while professionally has been in sales the past 17 years. Billy and his wife, Lisa, have four children: Cody (20), Courtni (18), Sierra (13), and Jacob (11).
Tim Anderson
Tim Anderson, a 1984 graduate of Webster City High School, is living proof of Lynx Football history. First, of the 110+ Webster City players who have earned All-State honors, Tim is only 1 of 15 Lynx players to do so twice: an outstanding noseguard on defense, as a junior he landed on the 2nd Team squad in 1982 before earning 1st Team honors his senior year in 1983. Second, Tim helped guide the 1982 Lynx to its rst 9-0 record since 1970 and a berth into the Class 3A playoffsthe Lynxs rstever playoff appearance in school history. The next season in 1983, Anderson again led Webster City to 9-0 regular season record en route to the schools fth consecutive North Central Conference championship and another playoff qualication. The 1982 squads defeat of St. Edmond in the 1st Round not only garnered the rst playoff win in school history, but also set new record for most wins in a season thatto datehas only been matched by the 1985 and 86 squads. Tim played in the 1984 Iowa Shrine Bowl All-Star game before suiting up for legendary Iowa coach Hayden Fry from 1984-88 in which he was a four-year letterman (1985-88) and was also part of ve bowl teams: the 84 Freedom Bowl, 85 Rose Bowl, 86 Holiday Bowl, 87 Holiday Bowl, and 88 Peach Bowl. Anderson, who works at Town & Country Insurance, also coaches football at Webster City High School where. Tim has three daughters with his wife, Kathy: Bailey (17), Erin (15), and Madalyn (13).
