What are the steps in time man a g e m e n t , so that I can unders t a n d by both the scen arios why a perso n is booked and when he is not booked. A. No need of time man a g e m e n t . while creating an event you will be creating time sche dule in the box select user defined where you can define different timings for different days with intwervals like weeks , month s for this just select multiple. If he is ill go onleave so the data will be store d in this infotype. Q. There is 1 person but its displaying that this person cannot be booked. He is not available for the busines s event. Can you tell me where is it going wrong? What can be the reasons ? A. You should be able to book for all persons but it showing only for one perso n me an s you need to check infotype 2001 and his worksch e d ule. If it showing for all the persons, just follow as below: Create a calend ar with open days me a n s without any holidays and assign in Training and Event Manag e m e n t --> Basic Settings --> Controling days off --> Specify Factory Calendar in this thru drill down/ch e ck box select the calend a r which you have creat e d in time man g e m e n t without any holidays and try out if again. If it shows the sam e mes s a g e then remov e time integration. Q. I have a certain group of employe e s who have vacation exceptions. The comp a n y does not want to creat e additional PSA/PA to enable me to put the m in their own PSA Grouping for time quot a types. Can I use IT2012 to bring in the exception hrs and then add this value to their accru al as defined in config. Becaus e of this they will accrue vacation time at a higher rate. Is this possible? Earliest Retroactive Acc\\\'g Period: The period furthes t back in the past for which it is still possible toperform a retroactive accounting run. For exa m pl e in a manufact uring unit 50 employe e s are working, all the 50 employe e s will not take a break at a time, so 25 people will take a break around 11:00 to 11:30 and anoth er 25 people will take a break around 11:30 to 12:00, A. Variable or flexi break mea n s if you are fixing the break as10.0012.00 and saying that only 30 min break then they can take a break of 30 min at any time in betw e e n 10:00- 12:00. In config, under time man a g e m n t and then work schedul es, go to break sched ule s and creat e two break sched ule s (1) 11- 1130 and the other for 1130- 1200. I think each will have its own DWS. In this cas e for break sched ule 1, the DWS will be 8000 and for break two it will be 8001. Create work sched ule s for each and assign to the releva nt group of employe e s . This is the solution I could think of. Q. Is it possible to implem e n t hr without fico in any comp a n y? If yes, then who will creat e the comp a ny and other things in enterpris e structur e. if my comp a n y is implem e n ting only hr without fico and in hr also only person al administration is it possible? Actually my client querieing me that wheth er is it possible only to maintain the employe e det ails as he got other accounting packag e s like tally. A. It is very much possible to implem e n t HR(PA) without FICO. But it sound s very odd that the comp a n y wishes to imple m e n t only HR & that too only PA. What about other modules ? If you want other modules like MM / SD you will definitely require FICO. Utilitiwise its really absurd if som e comp a ny only want to use HR(PA). It is not madt a d t ory to have FI/CO or other module while imple m e n ting HR but it is required to maintain the min. config while going for the HR where e v e r having the integr a tion.
