LIFE AND IDEOLOGIES OF BABU JAGJIVAN RAMS IS MODEL FOR YOUTH Dr.Pralhad Chengte , Asst. Professor & HOD , Dept. of Political Science ,Government First Grade College Chincholi-585307 , Gulbarga , Karnataka Jagjivan Ram was born in Bihar in 1908 into a family which could not claim the privileges of the upper caste families. In spite of the odds against him he passed his matriculation in the first division and joined the Benaras Hindu University where he was awarded the Birla scholarship. He passed his B.Sc. from Calcutta University in 1931.Babu Jagjivan Ram had a towering presence in Indian politics for nearly half a century. A multifaceted persona, Babuji was a national leader, a freedom fighter, a crusader of social justice, a defender of depressed classes, a campaigner of secularism, an outstanding parliamentarian, a strong votary of parliamentary democracy, and a competent administrator. A STUDY ON PROBLEMS OF WOMEN ENTREPRERNEURS D. Bhuvana, Ph. Once upon a time, they were confined to the four walls of houses performing household activities. The scenario has changed. Now, women have been performing exceeding well in different spheres of activities. Even they indulge in running the enterprises and performing well in the society. They have to come across so many problems in running the enterprise. Hence, in this study, an attempt has been made to describe the problems of women entrepreneurs. The higher financial liquidity of the banking companies is more comfortable for the banking and financial business. This present study the researcher has chosen 10 commercial banks for measuring the financial liquidity such as State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Bank of India, Axis Bank, Syndicate Bank, Bank of Baroda, Union Bank of India, City Union Bank and Canara Bank. For measuring the financial liquidity the financial ratios are used.

Arts College, Salem -7 FDI is a tool for economic growth through its strengthening of domestic capital, productivity and employment, FDI also plays a vital role in the up gradation of technology, skills and managerial capabilities in various sectors of the economy. The present paper attempts to analyze significance of the FDI Inflows in Indian service sector since 1991 and relating the growth of service sector FDI in generation of employment in terms of skilled and unskilled. Key Words: FDI, Service Sector, Employment. ORIGIN AND EXPORT PERFORMANCE OF SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONES IN INDIA S.P. Kiran , Research Scholar Dr. D.V. Gopalappa , Associate Professor , Department of Studies in Economics and Cooperation, University of Mysore, Mysore. In India the SEZs/EPZs have come into existence in 1965, today there are about 579 SEZs concentrated only in major states like Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Haryana, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh. The present paper based on the secondary data reveals that the total export earnings have been growing at the rate of 19.03 per cent and it is 43.81 per cent from the SEZs. The export earnings from the SEZs constitute 4.16 per cent during 2000-01 that has considerably increased to 26.10 per cent in 2009-10. This clearly reveals the importance of the SEZs in the country.

In the Indian context terms like "small and marginal farmers", " rural artisans" and "economically weaker sections" have been used to broadly define micro-finance customers. The recent Task Force on Micro Finance has defined it as "provision of thrift, credit and other financial services and products of very small amounts to the poor in rural, semi urban or urban areas, for enabling them to raise their income levels and improve living standards. India is the worlds largest single consumer of gold, as Indians buy about 25% of the worlds gold purchasing approximately 800 tonnes of gold every year, mostly for jewellery. Gold industry occupies an important position in the Indian economy and is one of the fastest growing industries in the country. The researcher selected 100 respondents as sample in Karur town. The respondents were selected on the basis of random sampling techniques for collecting primary data. The word derives from the Latin verb narrare which means to recount. It is related to the adjective gnarus that means knowing or skilled. A narrative can be told by a character within the larger narrative. The important aspect of narration is the narrative mode, the set of methods used to communicate the narrative through a process of narration. Narration, like exposition, description and argumentation, is one of four rhetorical modes of discourse. Ultimately, it is the fiction-writing mode through which the narrator communicates directly to the reader. FDI INFLOWS IN INDIA Mrs. G. As per Balance of Payment Manual, fifth edition, FDI refers to an investment made to acquire lasting interest in enterprises operating outside the economy of the investor. FDI has been recognized as an important resource for economic development. Todaro and Smith 2003; Hayami,2001 argue that the inflows of FDI could fill the gap between desired investments and domestically mobilized saving. It may also increase tax revenues and improve management, technology as well as labor skills in host countries. BANK FINANCE TO PRIORITY SECTORS IN TIRUNELVELI DISTRICT, TAMIL NADU Dr .C. Priority sectors particularly agricultural sector till facing the problems of timely finance to extent their activities. In this regards, how the commercial banks provides financial assistance to priority sectors over a periods, recovery performance under priority sector lending, problems of the bankers in the priority sector lending are the major problems to be analyzed in a timely manner.
