The application can also be downloaded from the website www.aplawcet.org. The filled in downloaded application with necessary DD has to be submitted.

Date and Time of the Entrance Tests: PGLCET 2012 Hall Tickets and Rank Cards: The candidates should note that the Hall Tickets and Rank Cards will not be sent by post. They have to be download from the website as detailed below: 1. The candidates have to download the Hall Tickets from the website www.aplawcet.org one week before the Test by entering the application Number. Hence, the candidates are advised to note the application number. 2. The candidates are also advised to download the Rank Cards from the website www.aplawcet.org after one week of the publication of results. 3. In case of any difficulty the candidates may contact the office of the PGLCET-2012 (Phone No.0877-2289372, 0877-2248111) for necessary information.

In terms of (1) G.O.Ms. No.52, Higher Education (UE-II) Department, dated 20-6-2007 and its amendments, issued by the Govern ment of Andhra Pradesh, and 2) Proceedings No. APSCHE/CETS/LAWCET & PGLCET-2012/Dec dt.28-12.2011, issued by A.P. State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh will conduct the Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test-2012 (PGLCET-2012) for entry into those seats of 1st year of LL.M.,/M.L. Degree Courses for which the Government is competent. I. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: The Post-graduate law common entrance test - 2012 & its ADMISSIONS will be made in strict compliance of the Rules and Regulations of the University Concerned, APSCHE and relevant G.O.s of A.P that are in force and also amendments that may come into force from time to time. 1. Duly filled-in application form for Entrance Test may be sent by Speed post/Registered Post or any mode or delivered in person at the Office of the Convener, P GLCET -2012, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati - 517 502, as per schedule. 2. Candidate should refer the application number for all correspondence with the Convener. 3. The list of recognized/approved Law Colleges along with the sanctioned strength and the courses that are permitted by the University concerned/APSCHE and the seats for which the Government is competent to make admissions for the academic year 2012-2013 will be informed after publication of the results. Specific instructions to fill in the Intelligent Character Reading (ICR) form of the application are given on the reverse of the ICR form which should be followed carefully. COURSES OFFERED: a) LL.M/M.L. Courses are offered as full-time regular courses in the University Colleges, constituent/PG Colleges of the University and Private Law Colleges affiliated to the Universities.

b) The candidates seeking admission into LL.M. (self-financing) and LL.M. (Private Appearance) of Osmania University, Hyderabad also need to qualify in the PGLCET-2012 II. INSTRUCTIONS CONCERNING ENTRANCE TEST 1. Educational qualifications : a) b) Candidates holding LL.B./B.L. degree on the date of application and candidates who have appeared/appearing for LL.B./B.L. Final year examination are also eligible. The Candidates seeking admission into LL.M. (Private Appearance) of Osmania University, Hyderabad shall have a minimum experience of 3-years as a judicial officer or 3-years standing as an advocate on the date of appearing for PGLCET-2012.

A candidate appearing for LLB/BL degree examinations may take the PGLCET in anticipation of results. However he should pass at the time of counseling Note: Mere appearance in PGLCET will not give any right of admission. The candidate should satisfy all the eligibility criteria and should satisfy rules governing admission as are applicable. Nationality and Domicile: The candidate should be an Indian National and should satisfy Local/Unreserved status requirement as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974 and the amendments made there to from time to time. 2

The CONVENER, PGLCET-2012 reserves the right to reject the application of any candidate at any stage, if: a) the application is incomplete, or b) the application is not signed or attested, or c) the candidate fails to satisfy the eligibility conditions, or other rules of admissions or d) the entries in the application form are illegible or not filled as required or e) the application is received after the due date and time . No correspondence will be entertained with regard to rejection of application on any one or more of the above grounds. 4. Any change whatsoever including that of Caste/Community/State/Category will not be permitted to be made in the application after its receipt by the Convener. 5. Medium of Entrance Test: The question paper will be set in English only. 6. The Candidates are advised to Download the Hall tickets from the web site www.aplawcet.org one week before the TEST. 7. In case of the any Difficulty in downloading Hall ticket the candidates are advised to contact the Chief Superintendent of the Test Center concerned to which the candidate is allotted al least two days before the entrance test, during the office hours on production of: i) Acknowledgement card ii) Attested passport size photo similar to the one affixed to ICR Form, and iii) Payment of Rs.30/- (Rupees Thirty only) by a Demand Draft in favour of The Secretary, APSCHE, Payble at Hyderabad. Qualifying marks in PGLCET-2012: The qualifying percentage of marks in the Entrance Test is 25%. There will be no qualifying marks for S.Cs & S.Ts for ranking. PGLCET-2012 Results: Evaluation: Every care will be taken to avoid errors in evaluation, checking, scrutiny, tabulation and ranking. Hence, request for retotalling or revaluation or personal identification of scripts will not be entertained. Ranking: The Candidates will be ranked as per the total marks obtained in the Entrance Test. If there is a tie in total marks, the marks obtained in Part-A of Entrance Test will be considered for awarding the rank. If the tie persists they may be bracketed together for the purpose of ranking and seniority in age may be considered at the time of admission. Rank obtained in PGLCET-2012 is valid for admission into LL.M./M.L.Courses, as the case may be, for the academic year 2012-2013 only.

The answer scripts of candidates taking the PGLCET-2012 examination will be preserved for 6 months from date of announcement of PGLCET-2012 results. The conduct of PGLCET-2012 is subject to orders and instructions issued by the A.P., APSCHE and University concerned from time to time. Government of

All disputes arising out of any matter concerning PGLCET-2012 shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the A.P. High Court only. In such disputes, only Convener, PGLCET-2012& Secretary, APSCHE Hyderabad can be impleaded as respondents. Mode of Entrance Test : a) A Single entrance test is conducted for all the courses of LL.M/M.L. It is of 90 minutes duration and consists of 120 questions of 1 mark each. Part-A consists of 40 questions (Jurisprudence 20, Constitutional Law 20; Total 40 questions of 1 mark each); and Part -B consists of 80 questions (public International Law 16,Mercantile Law 16, Labour Law 16, Crimes and Torts 16, and IPR & Other Laws 16). Syllabus and model paper is given in Annexure-I b) The candidates have to mark their responses on Optical Mark Reader (OMR) answer sheet by darkening the relevant ovals with HB Pencil.

Hall Ticket is not transferable. Any tampering of Hall Ticket will automatically lead to the disqualification from appearing at the test and liable for prosecution. Candidates are directed to carry to the examination hall along with the following: (a) A Ball Point Pen (Blue or Black) (c) An Eraser/Rubber (b) One or Two H.B. Pencils (d) A Sharpener.

The candidate will not be allowed into the examination hall after 2-30 p.m. i.e. after the commencement of the Test.
Candidates must remain seated in their allotted places till the completion of the Examination. In no case they will be allowed to leave the examination hall till the end of the examination. Before leaving the examination hall the candidates must return the OMR response sheet to the invigilator. The candidate is permitted to taken the Question paper. Every candidate appearing for PGLCET-2012 shall be provided with a specially designed Optical Mark Reader (OMR) response sheet (Annexure-II) on which the candidate shall have to mark the answer. The method of marking the answers is illustrated below. Candidates are advised to go through the instructions given for marking the answers and other entries on the OMR sheet thoroughly and observe the same, which should make it easy for them to answer. The OMR sheet should be handled carefully .The candidates are advised not to fold, wrinkle, or tear the OMR sheet. Further, they are advised not to scribble or make any marks on it except marking the answers at the appropriate place and filling the required information in the appropriate boxes. Any violation of these instructions will automatically lead to the invalidation of the OMR sheet. Candidate shall note that they will not be given under any circumstances a second OMR sheet. Hence they are advised to be careful while handling OMR Sheet. 4

Candidate shall read carefully the instructions contained on the question paper booklet and OMR sheet before starting to answer the questions. The question paper booklet given to the candidate shall consist of 120 multiple choice type questions in two different parts with four responses given to each question out of which only one response is correct for the given question. Candidates shall mark the correct answer in the OMR sheet by darkening the appropriate circle with H B Pencil. They should not use under any circumstances Ball Point Pen for this purpose. There is no negative mark for incorrect answers. Admissions : The Admission into LL.M./M.L. Course (Regular and Self financing) offered by different Universities (including the concerned affiliated colleges) will be made basing on the PGLCET-2012 Rank and also as per Rules and Regulations of PGLCET. 1. Follow the Instructions given on the OMR Response Sheet. Fill up information and darken all the Relevant Circles on the OMR response sheet carefully. Otherwise your OMR Response Sheet will be invalid. 2. Use HB Pencil only for darkening the circles as per the instructions contained in OMR response sheet. Use Ball Point Pen to fill up other information as per the instructions contained in OMR response sheet.
