Concentration
We$promote$the$excitement$of$ developing$skills$on$an$orchestral$ stringed$instrument!$ Students$will$have$daily$group$ music$instruction,$culminating$ with$a$Thursday$afternoon$ concert$(2:00$p.m.).$The$faculty$ includes$experienced$teachers$ from$the$community$and$music$ education$majors$from$the$ university.$$Open$to$all$students$ who$have$completed$one$year$of$ instruction$on$a$stringed$ instrument.$

We make learning music fun!!!

$ The$ USC$ String$ Project$ has$ a$ tradition$ of$ providing$ reasonably$ priced$ supplemental$ string$ instruction$ to$ children$ in$ the$ Midlands$for$35$years.$The$summer$camp$is$ designed$to$be$a$refresher$for$both$children$ enrolled$in$our$program$during$the$year$and$ for$students$who$have$not$yet$been$part$of$ the$program.$$ Our$ most$ experienced$ teachers$ and$ graduates$work$with$the$children$each$day,$ providing$ varied$ activities$ and$ sufficient$ rest$ breaks.$ The$ three$ groups$ perform$ a$ concert$at$2:00$on$the$last$day$of$the$camp.$$ The$ camp$ is$ open$ to$ any$ student$ who$ has$ played$for$at$least$one$year.$$ $

All$students$report$to$851$Park$Street.$We$are$ located$in$the$ground$floor$of$the$parking$ structure$behind$the$Koger$Center.$$
