MiniMove

ISO/IEC 7816, SWP/HCI, IC-USB pocket tracer for general testing needs

COMPRION MiniMove
MiniMove traces the communication between a handset and a Smart Card to ensure interoperability between the two entities. Because the device is very small and robust and works socket-independently, the freedom and flexibility to test anytime, anywhere has never been greater. This mini tracer is immedi tely a usable and was designed to meet the testing needs of card and handset manufacturers, application developers and network operators. Thus, it is the ultimate tool for testing in the field, development testing in the lab, technical support tasks and interoperability testing for quality assurance. Despite its small size, there is much inside. MiniMove offers the familiar high-end monitoring power of COMPRION on all defined Smart Card interfaces: ISO/IEC 7816, SWP/ HCI and IC-USB. As with other COMPRION tools, the recorded bytes are translated into a comprehensive content and are displayed in a user-friendly way.

MiniMove Typical use cases

Interoperability testing between

different devices, components and applications for detecting interoperability problems and malfunctions in the field communication errors before the launch of your product or during product development

Field testing even at remote places

Quality assurance: detecting

Test setup MiniMove just needs to be connected to a host PC (e.g. a netbook) via a USB cable. The Smart Card Plug-In is directly inserted into the MiniMove hardware and the terminal is connected via a flex adapter.

The Benefits
Power supply via USB connection MiniMove is not just smaller in its dimensions than most of the other existing spy tools. It is also mini in terms of its power consumption. There is no separate power supply necessary as MiniMove is powered by the PC via USB. This allows it to record traces even in remote places where no extra energy source is available.

Strong user-friendly monitoring GUI Several synchronised views for the protocol, transport and application layer of all card interfaces give an in-depth display of the communication for each protocol. To get a rough overview, top level information on all contacts is displayed in the Summary View. It is also possible to monitor and display the dependencies between the protocols and to measure cycle times. The adjustable user-friendly interface allows customising the layer views according to your needs.

Trace analysis Log-files can be analysed online during the communication or after the log-file has been recorded. Protocol violations are highlighted and recurring communication patterns can be found using powerful search expressions.

Securing up-to-date software and sustainability To ensure ongoing high performance, we offer continuous software updates for all of our products. Our maintenance effort is based on the latest ETSI SCP, 3GPP and 3GPP2 standards specification and technology advance ment as well as customer feature requests. Due to our participation in a number of standardisation and regulation organisations we actively shape the future of testing. We also offer start-up training, as well as refresher or special usage training.
