May 29, 2012 Dear Chris and Elizabeth, The convention is over and the campaign for our

partys nomination is well under way. Now is the time to schedule a series of debates based on issues that are critical to constituents and the country. As candidates for the Democratic nomination in the 5th Congressional District, we owe the voters in our party the opportunity to learn where we stand. I offer, here and now, a challenge for you to participate with me in 12 or more issue-based debates. I provide a list of topics below. These are the issues Ive been asked about most while visiting with thousands of voters in their homes. Please feel free to suggest additional topics. These debates will provide us the opportunity to discuss vital issues and offer our perspectives. I do not suggest a forum where we simply make pronouncements at a podium. We should stand before the rank and file of our party and answer direct questions about our views on the issues and be ready to defend our proposed solutions. We have all agreed in the past that we cannot allow the Republicans to win this seat. If you truly believe that as Democrats we offer the best solutions to our nations problems, then a series of issue-based debates is the way to prove that to the voters in the 5th Congressional District. My campaign stands ready to work with you on details of scheduling these debates. We have identified a number of relevant groups that would make excellent debate hosts. I await your response. Thank you,

Dan Roberti, Democrat Candidate for the 5th Congressional District Nomination
