2. Configuration 2.1 Before You Start Function Designer must be installed. A system in PPA must exist and at least one CBM-project. Users working with the templates should be experienced in using Function Designer as well as using the Bulk Data Manager (see also reference [1]) 2.2 How to open the template The template can be opened via the Advanced menu in the Plant Explorer: Right mouse click on an object Advanced Engineering Templates. The Engineering Templates folder will pop up. Now open the template BDM_for_Function_Diagram.xls Efficiency can be increased by including the template as a document aspect on a corresponding object in the Functional Structure. On some headline cells there are additional comments with instructions to facilitate the usage of the template.

3. Operation The template consists of four worksheets. Each of them is prepared to handle a specific function Copy, Allocate, Generate or base information for typical pick list in the engineering workflow for a Function Diagram. The recommendation is to integrate the template as a document aspect (see also reference [3] chapter Add a Document Aspect) into the Functional Structure. 3.1 Prepare pick list for typical solutions (Typical)

Diagram typical made for use within a project can be provided in a pick list for the copy operation. This can be done by selecting the worksheet Typical and drag and drop from the Functional Structure the typical diagrams into the worksheet.

All diagrams will be listed in the sheet and provided in a pick list in the worksheet Copy FuD at the column Typical.
