SALIENT FEATURES OF OUR OFFER

We have considered the addition of Acclimatized Bacterial Culture into the SAFF reactor to give the following advantages: For quick start up of the plant, thereby minimizing the commissioning period. To get the better clarified sewage as addition of this culture improves effective settling of solids To take care of the system upset due to shock load in terms of organic oil etc. No extra dosing system is required for adding acclimatized bacterial culture.

We will be providing the diffusers of Silicone Membrane. Although these diffusers have high initial cost, but these have very long life and very high oxygen transfer efficiency.

We will be providing the high quality UV stabilized SAFF & Tube Settler media from Munter's, Germany thus preventing algae formation.

1. INTRODUCTION
M/s .. requires a package type skid mounted ready to use sewage treatment plant of capacity 10 m3/day to treat the domestic sewage. The Sewage water will be generated from Toilets, Bathrooms, Canteens and floor washings etc. The sewage water requires treatment in order to meet the standard norms set by the PCB. This proposal shall consider various aspects covering the parameters of sewage water (both quality and quantity), The Scheme & process of treatment, process units involved in the treatment, their specification with commercial terms & conditions.

The STP is of modular construction and the treatment process will consists of four stages.

Stage 1: Primary Treatment Screen Chamber, Oil & Grease chamber, Sewage collection tank. 5. BRIEF PROCESS DESCRIPTION

PRIMARY TREATMENT The sewage will first pass through a screen chamber for removal of floating materials for removal of floatable materials. The overflow of screen chamber will pass through oil & grease chamber for removal of oil & grease. The overflow of oil & grease Chamber will be collected into the Sewage collection tank. From sewage collection tank the sewage water will be pumped to SAFF reactor for Biological Treatment. SECONDARY (BIOLOGICAL) TREATMENT The SAFF reactor oxidizes the organic matter in effluent to CO2 & H2O by the aeration principle. In SAFF reactor PVC UV stabilized plastic media is provided for the attachment of bacteria and growth. This media has large surface area and high Voidage ratio. SAFF reactor tank is fitted with no of air diffusers of suitable capacity to provide necessary dissolved oxygen mixed to the effluent. Twin-Lobe Blowers for oxidation provides the aeration. The biological system has to be operated continuously for at least 20 hours and there by constant feed of Sewage water is required. The secondary clarifier/tube settler, which designed on low overflow rate, is provided after the SAFF reactor to enable separation of solids. A steep slope is provided in the secondary settling tank to eliminate the need of scrapper mechanism. A part of the sludge is recirculated to the SAFF Reactor in order to maintain MLSS levels and a part is drained to the sludge drying beds. Acclimatized Bacterial Culture will be added into the SAFF reactor. Excess sludge needs to be dewatered and dried for easy disposal. The sludge from the tube settler is collected in sludge Holding Tank. From sludge Holding Tank, the

sludge will be pumped to filter press for mechanical dewatering. The dried sludge will be dried & used as organic manure. The Clarifier water collected from the collection launder of the tube settler is then passed to the Filter Feed tank TERTIARY TREATMENT The clarified water is collected into the Filter Feed tank. It is necessary to pass the effluent further through tertiary treatment comprises of filtration with pressure sand filter for removal of suspended solids & Activated carbon filter for removal of trace organic matter, color & odor. Then this treated water will discharge to irrigation/plantation.
