VACANCY NOTICE Information and Program Monitoring Assistant, EHA/IVP-DAR Unit WHO Indonesia

Position: Contract Type: Duration of contract Duty Station: Closing date Information and Program Monitoring Assistant, EHA/IVP-DAR Unit Special Service Agreement/Service Contract 3 months with possible extension Jakarta, Indonesia 25 May 2012

Functional Skills and Knowledge:


1. Excellent knowledge of written and spoken of English and Bahasa Indonesia; 2. Excellent computer skills and proficiency in standard Microsoft Office Software, including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software's; 3. Knowledge, skills, and practice in emergency information and communication for Emergency Disaster Management (EDM) and Disability, Injury prevention and Rehabilitation (DIPR); 4. Ability to manage information, data management and analysis; 5. Ability to develop report, presentation materials and proposal; and 6. Excellent organizational and analytical skills, able to work in a team, ability to adapt diverse socio-political and cultural environment and to maintain high standard of personal conduct.

Education (Qualifications): Essential:


Graduate from reputable university

Desirable:
1. Medical professional; 2. Degree in public health is an advantage 3. Previous work experience in International organizations and/or technical assistance to Ministry of Health would be an advantage. 4. Have been trained in emergency management is an asset.

Experience Essential:
At least 2 years working experience in the field of data and Information management system

Desirable: Experience in Emergency Preparedness and Response and Disability, Injury, Prevention and Rehabilitation program for health sector.

Description of Duties:
1. Maintain the program case file system for incoming references; 2. Develop report, presentation materials and proposal; 3. Assist in managing emergency information and data analysis and use it to develop report, presentation materials and proposals; 4. Assist in updating all monitoring tools including follow up action and work plan in daily basis according to EHA SOP in coordination with all EHA team; 5. Assist in preparing emergency situation report and updates; 6. Design, produce and disseminate the EHA weekly update and present it on Monday Morning Meeting as daily information for WHO staffs;

7. Follow up the process of initiating a new designation of WHO-INO Collaborating Centre for Training and Research on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR); 8. Liaise and maintain good relation & communication with counterparts in Ministry of Health, governmental agencies, UN, NGO, Donor and other health partner agencies; 9. Assist in the implementation of DIPR Work Plan; 10. Assist in translation of technical guideline and other documents; 11. Any other related required by EHA.
