Introducing Version 1.74 Service Pack 2
Whats in Version 1.74 Service Pack 2?
Version 1.74 Service Pack 2 (SP2) provides you, CyberStation Version 1.74 users, with support for TACs newer Andover Continuum controllers: NetController II (CX 9680) - A redesigned, more powerful, more versatile version of the previous-generation NetControllers (CX 990x, CX 994x, and CX 920x). ACX 57xx (5720 and 5740) - The newest generation of TAC access controllers. Designed to replace the ACX 780/781 access controllers, the ACX 57xx is a powerful Ethernet device (rather than an Infinet device). It allows you to connect to card readers, keypads, door inputs and outputs, alarms, and to monitor tamper switches located on cabinet doors and walls. The NetController II and the ACX 57xx controllers were released to coincide with the release of a major new version of CyberStation: Version 1.8. This service pack allows you to integrate these new controllers into your Andover Continuum building control system, running CyberStation Version 1.74.

NetController II Features
The following list summarizes the features of the NetController II series: Real time clock 12 MB of RAM used for application and run-time data 48 MB of RAM used for personnel records Support for 218,000 to 480,000 personnel records depending on the number of areas that the NetController II is servicing Internal battery backup Backs up Personnel records and other RAM data for a minimum of 7 days. Flash Memory Database objects saved into flash memory during backup. Four comm ports with increased capabilities compared with the previous-generation NetController. Input power options:
Andover Continuum UPS and Non-UPS power supplies Third-party 12-28 VDC or 24 VAC power supply
Support for up to 32 I/O Modules Support for up to 254 Infinet controllers Compatibility with CyberStation Version 1.74 (and higher) software. Optional internal modem

Comm Ports
The NetController II provides connections to four comm ports (communication ports) that provide the following connection protocols: RS-232 RS-485 LBus Comm1 provides an LBus connection using the LA-1Converter. Comm 4 provides a direct LBus connection. Service port Wireless Adapter Internal modem (optional) In order for a comm port to support a device to which it is connected, it must be configured for that device in CyberStation software using a comm port mode. The following comm port modes are available: Autoset (default) Infinet LBus Printer PPP Wireless Raw Port XDriver
Ethernet Port
The NetController II can be connected to workstations and other NetControllers via a 10/100 MB Ethernet port. these connections are accomplished using a 10/100 MB BASE-T (RJ-45) connector. The NetController II supports all existing Andover Continuum I/O modules. It can support up to 32 I/O modules, which are configured using CyberStation software.
13
The LON I/O Bus can be configured as one of the following serial interfaces: RS-485 (ACC-LON) FTT-10A For complete information see the NetController II documentation.

Ethernet Port
The ACX 57xx controller can be connected to workstations and other controllers via a 10/100 MB Ethernet port. These connections are accomplished using a 10/100 MB BASE-T (RJ-45) connector. Note: The ACX 57xx controller only supports connections on an Ethernet network (IEEE 802.3). The controller does not support Token Ring (IEEE 802.5) or FDDI (Fiber Optic).
