As the days heat up, we start to see a shift in the Anthem Community. Our winter residents have left and the pools begin to see increasing amounts of activity. Summertime is a busy time at the Parkside Community Center. Weekends during the Big Splash Waterpark season can see nearly 800 people per day! It takes hard working and dedicated staff to keep everyone safe by informing and enforcing the rules. Wed like to remind all Sun City residents of some of the rules at the Parkside Community Center when you come to visit. The Parkside Community Center is an asset of the Anthem Parkside at Merrill Ranch Association. The Anthem Parkside community residents pay assessments to the Anthem Parkside association in order to enjoy the Parkside Community Center, Waterpark and the various other Parkside amenities. Similarly, the Sun City Anthem residents pay their association dues to the Sun City Anthem Community Association so they may enjoy the Sun City Anthem Union Center, pools, outdoor amenities, etc. Due to the fact that the Sun City Anthem association dues do not support the upkeep and maintenance of the Anthem Parkside amenities, a $3 usage fee is charged to those Sun City Anthem residents who wish to enjoy the Parkside Community Center, Waterpark and other Parkside amenities. If a Sun City resident wishes to bring Our Annual 4th of guests (friends, grandchildren, etc) with July Parade will be them to the Parkside Community Center, held in the morning a $3 per person guest fee applies and a and a picnic in guest form must be completed. Similar the afternoon is a to Sun Citys guest policy, all guests perfect way to end must be accompanied by the Parkside or the day. Join us in the ballroom for food, games, contests, Sun City resident that brought them in games and fun starting at 2:00pm and at all times while enjoying the amenities. lasting until you want to go home! If you have any questions regarding the guest policy or usage fee policy, please contact Trish Ledbetter, $8 pp if registered by June 27 Parkside Community manager at 520-723-6655 or pledbetter@aamaz.com. You may also review the guest policy $10 pp after June 27 online at www.oursuncityamr.net. schedule is almost finished and the printed course catalogs will go to press soon. Registration for the Fall semester will begin September 1, 2012 either on-site in the Union Center or by email or phone using the link on the Members Portal to connect with the catalog. In the meantime, the Summer Learning Website is active again. You can access free coursework from such learning sites as BBC Learning, The Annenberg Foundation, The Discovery Channel, and many more from the comfort of your home, RV, or any other accommodation in which you may choose to spend your summer.
