KSDK, NewsChannel 5 continued to be the viewers choice for St. Louiss news and information both on-air and online during the 2012 May ratings period that was completed yesterday, Wednesday, May 23rd. NewsChannel 5 made a clean sweep of the early evening and late night newscasts in the much-soughtafter demographic of adults 25-54. NewsChannel 5, Where the News Comes First Page 2 Whether it was tracking massive hail storms with our First Alert weather team, our Making a Difference stories featuring positive news or our investigations and watching out for St. Louis with our Five on Your Side consumer reports, were proud to serve this community each and every day. Im particularly proud of the performance of our late evening newscast, which won in the demo race in both the 7-day and 5-day averages. NBC has made some strides this past ratings period with The Voice and Americas Got Talent, and thanks to our viewers, we grew our NBC network quarter-hour lead-in rating from prime programming to our late news by 50%! NewsChannel 5s daytime lineup, which of course includes Today in St. Louis as well as the newly launched Today In St. Louis at 4 am and NewsChannel 5 at 10am enjoyed strong performances. These newscasts became part of the stations news portfolio last September. Of particular note was the multi-faceted Bullying, Enough is Enough project produced by Today In St. Louis. This week-long effort not only put the spotlight on Bullying in our local schools, but also offered help and potential solutions to parents. In the 7-day household ratings, Today In St. Louis @ 4 a.m. begins the stations local morning news block with a strong 1.0 rating and 6 share. NewsChannel 5 @ 10 a.m. scored a solid 2.6 rating and jumped past perennial time-period winner The View. Show Me St. Louis moved to 12:30 last September and more than doubles the rating of its rival Great Day St. Louis with a 2.7 rating and 9 share! NewsChannel 5 First @ Four continues its strong growth, nudging past Judge Judy in the households during May. Each rating point is equivalent to 12,585 area households.
