ABCTAX software Development Company releases a new software package that incorporates the new tax laws and computes taxes for both individuals and small businesses. The president of the company knows that the program has a number of bugs. Therefore, the company includes a disclaimer of responsibility for errors resulting from the use of the program. As the president is keen to capture the large market potential for this kind of new software, the company widely advertises the program. The company plans to use the customer feedbacks that will be received on a number of complaints, queries, and suggestions for modification to release upgraded versions. The president argues that this is general industry policy and that customers who purchase initial version will take proper precautions. A number of users of the software filed incorrect tax returns and were penalised by the Australian Taxation Office. .

Following the Ethical Analysis template 1. Identify the ethical issues and describe the facts involved. You may use other articles to support your findings. 2. Identify the stake holders and applying the ethical theories, establish who acted ethically and who acted unethically. 3. Analyse the possible actions, and consequences. Make recommendations with sufficient reasoning and theoretical support. 4. Select two (2) applicable and relevant sections of the ACS code of ethics and discuss briefly the ethical guidelines relevant to your scenario. You should use a minimum of three (3) academic journal articles in developing your report (one of which may be your textbook).

Part B: 1000 (+/-10%) words


On completion of your studies you will be interested to obtain an employment in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Industry. Therefore, it will be of great assistance for you to develop an understanding of the job market, available jobs, skills required and how you can prepare yourself. This part of the assignment will help you to develop an understanding of the ICT job market and skills requirement. You have to prepare a report that will have the details asked in items 1-8. Identify six (6) separate ICT jobs advertised in the last 2 months in any of the reputed and credible publications or websites. Jobs found in bill boards or personal email notifications are unacceptable. 1. Provide in a table format, the following details for each job advertised: Position title, company or organisation, date of the ad, salary, location, ICT Stream, and source. 2. Identify one ICT stream you would like to be employed. Provide specific reason for your interest in the chosen stream. 3. Describe the responsibilities, job functions, and position in an organisation for the chosen stream. 4. Identify the bodies and/or societies who oversee the professional and ethical conduct of the ICT stream you have selected. 5. Search and find one job advertised in the last one (1) month that you could apply if you had graduated. 6. Describe the applicant requirements detailing the technical and generic skills required. Identify the skills (both technical and generic) that you lack. Provide a plan to develop those skills. 7. Identify the obligations you have as an ICT professional in case you are selected.

Notes:
1. Exclude screenshots or images of the advertisements. Provide the source details in the Reference list following Harvard referencing style. 2. The source name provided in the table should be using the Harvard in-text referencing style. 3. The advertisements should be for different IT positions. Avoid using six versions of the same job advertised in different publications. 4. Parts A and B forms part of one report. Provide only one reference list and table of contents. Use Microsoft Word to create your table of contents. 5. Submit one file named Assignment2.doc
