RULES AND REGULATIONS OF

TBSCA-GURU SRI RAGHAVENDRA SWAMY LEAGUE- CUM KNOCKOUT TROPHY 2012


(TWENTY-20 CRICKET TOURNAMENT)
SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS & GOVT HOLIDAYS.

WINNER: CASH AWARD OF RS.20,000/- & TROPHY RUNNER: CASH AWARD OF RS.15,000/- & TROPHY
1. The other Prizes for Man of the Match for every match, Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Man of the Series, Century Maker, Hat Trick Performer, Individual Prizes for Winner & Runner for 16 players. 2. This tournament will be played on League-cum knockout basis which is limited to 20 overs and will be open to all Corporates / Firms / Private clubs / Financial Institutions /Banks / IT / ITES / Schools / Colleges & coaching Academies. 3. a) An entry fee of Rs.17,500/- (Rs.Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred only) will be collected towards tournament fee.The matches will be played week ends & Govt.Holidays.The participating team should submit a list of players with signatures along with application form duly countersigned by the respective Secretary/Captain of the club.
b) The fees must be paid along with the list of 18 players with their Signatures duly

attested by the Club Authorised person. Change in the list of players (Maximum of 3 players per match) is permitted only in the League stage. This must be informed to the below mentioned address in writing 24 hours before the commencement of play with specimen signatures of the player attested by the authorized person of the Club/ Registration of new players are not allowed in the Knockout stage. .

4. Match balls / Water / Kit Bag / Score Book / Bag / will be provided by the
Academy. 5. Payment can be made either by cash or by Cheque in the name of The Blue Sky Cricket Academy. Cont.2 ---2---6. White uniforms are compulsory. Round neck Banians and distraction colour banians are not allowed. This will be followed strictly.

7. LEAGUE STAGE :

(a) Each zone will comprise of 9 teams and each will play 8 matches. The top 2 teams from each zone will qualify for Knockout stage. The top teams will be decided in the following Order of priority. (i) As per their points. (ii) When two or more teams have equal points, the team with higher NET RUN RATE(NRR) will be placed higher. (b) 4 Points for a Win, 2 Points for Tie & 1 Point for draw (c) If a team gives walkover, the opponent team will be awarded with 4 points as they are winner of the match. The team which has given walkover will lose 4 points from its total points which there already gained. And also they will be loosing 4 points. 8. (a) If no play is possible within the allotted time rematch will arranged (b) In unfinished matches, due to rain or unavoidable reason in league stage, equal points will be given even a single ball is bowled.(each 1 point) (C) If the second batting side is not able to play 1/5 (one firth) of the allotted overs fraction of overs ignored) Both teams will get 1 point each (Match is drawn. The second batting is unable to play beyond 1/5 (one fifth) of the allotted overs due to Rain/any Unavoidable reason the team which has better Run rate will be declared as winner. (d) If first batting side if not able to play their full allotted overs due to Rain or any unavoidable reason number of overs will be re arranged equally for both teams according to the available time. (e) All the matches have to be completed within the stipulated time allotted by the Umpires. 9. 10. 11. 12. Entry fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances Any existing rules can be altered, amended, cancelled by committee from time to time No cancellation/postponement will be entertained after the fixture card is sent. The matches will be played in and around the city. Cont.3

(a)

KNOCKOUT STAGE: TIED MATCH Sub Clause -1 If the scores are equal, the team which has scored the total runs in lesser number of balls shall be the winner.

(b) If the number of balls and the runs scored are equal then the team that has lost lesser number of Wickets shall be the Winner.
(C)

If the number of balls and the wickets lost the runs scored are equal then the winner Shall be decided by the Spin of the Coin in the presence of the umpires immediately after the conclusion of the match.

(d ) In the Finals the match ends in Tie the Cash Prize will be shared equally by both The teams. 14.KNOCKOUT STAGE & FINALS : UN FINISHED MATCHES In Knockout stage, if second batting side have completed 1/3 of the allotted over (6 overs) then the match will be decided by over-all run rate. If second batting side has not completed 1/3 of the allotted over then the match will be decided by spin of coin in the presence of Umpires. Wicket average will not be considered. Any fraction of over will be ignored. 15. (a) Smoking and drinking of Alcohol or other illegal drugs or other narcotics items is strictly prohibited in the ground / College / School premises. Violation of any one is punishable by the ground authorities and the Academy is not responsible for the same. (b) Dont Give your valuable things to the Umpires. Academy is not responsible for the loss of your valuable things. (c) Mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside the playing area. (d ) All Vehicles should be parked only at the parking area specified by the ground Authorities. All wastes must be put in the dustbins. 16. 17. The decision of Academy shall be final in all matters and will not be called question either before any tribunal or any court of Law. No player shall play for more than one team in this tournament. If the rule is infringed, such team or teams including the player will be penalized by removing the team from the tournament the Captain of that team is responsible for that. Contd.4

---4---18. The matches will commence sharp at 7.30 AM / 10.45 AM and 02.15 PM respectively. The teams should report at the venue at least 45 minutes before the schedule start of play. If there is any change in play commencement time that will be intimated to you. In a match there will be 2 sessions 80 Minutes (No Water Break) each with 10 minutes interval between the innings.

(a) If the team does not turn up after 15 minutes of the schedule time the opponents will be awarded with full points and shall be declared as winner of the match. (b) Each team shall bat for 20 Overs unless all out earlier, a team shall not be permitted to declare its innings closed. (c) If the team batting first is dismissed in less than 20 Overs/allotted Overs, the team batting second shall be entitled to bat for 20 Overs/allotted Overs. (d) Before the toss, both captains should produce the list of players with signatures to the umpires 15 minutes before the schedule / reschedule start of play and no alteration is entertained after the toss. (e) If any team fails to complete the prescribed overs in the specified time penalty runs will be awarded to the batting side (10 runs per over X no. of over bowled shortly) at the close of specified time of each innings. The over in progress, shall be considered as completed one. In such case if a team is getting all out in that over, penalty runs will not be calculated for the remaining over. (f) If a team fails to give the list in time that team will bat for lesser no of over. (for every 4 minutes delay 1 over will be reduced) Example: (a) Schedule start of match 07:30 AM Both teams should give the List by 07:15AM before going for the toss (b) The team which gives the list in time (i.e 07:15AM) is eligible to bat for full allotted over in the prescribed time (i.e.20 over in 80 Minutes) If either team or both the teams give the list late by 10 minutes (i.e 07:25AM) 2 over will be reduced (fraction of minutes shall be ignored) 19.Rematch will not be allowed if any team does not agree to Umpires findings and walk out during middle of the match. Umpires decision is Final. Contd5 5. 20. (a) Each bowler will be allowed to bowl Maximum of 4 overs. (b) In a delayed match where the overs are reduced (overs shall be calculated at the rate of 4 minutes per over the total time available) maximum overs per

bowler will be decided by the Umpire/s. 21. Restriction of the placement of fieldsman When the ball comes in to play/bowler starts his run up there shall not be more than 5 fieldsman on the onside throughtout the innings. In the event of such infringement in the field placement restriction, the umpire can call and signal No Ball. 22. No team shall refuse to play for the reason that either both the official umpires are not available or have not turned up when such circumstances arise, the match shall be played with the assistance of any official umpires available at the ground / the player on reserves/any persons from outside. 23. Protest, if any should be lodged within 24 hours of the completion of the match in writing to The Organising Secretary and should be accompanied by a fee of Rs.1,000/-(Rs. One Thousand only) which will not be refunded at any cost. The Academys decision is final. 24. It is the responsibility of the scorer to check and verify the scores. If the umpires find that there is a mistake in scoring, they have every right to call the team for resumption of play until a result is achieved, in case a team refuses to continue the game, they deemed to have lost the match. 25. If any complaint or misbehavior against any club or player participating in this tournament, the committee has full powers to enquire into the matter and such teams including the player will be penalized being scratched from the tournament. Umpires have full powers to act accordingly. 26. The players should maintain the decorum inside and outside of the grounds. In case of any mischieves happened in connection with the Academys cricket matches then the Team Managements, captains and concern players of those teams are responsible for the entire outcomes of hit, which includes criminal cases, civil claims, damages, loss of points, suspending them from tournaments, etc.The Academy will not responsible for the mischieves activities of any player.
