QUICK TIPS FOR THE MONTH
WEEK 1 Create a social media strategy How are you integrating social media into your companys overall strategy (customer acquisition and retention, promotion, education)? This week, set goals on how you will use social media in your business. Determine who will manage your social medias presence and what message you will provide. WEEK 2 Increase your social network Spread the word via current customers, family, friends & neighbors. Incorporate your social media brand on your website, other marketing collateral. As you go out to speak to business groups or network, spread the word about your social media presence. If you use a blog or write for a magazine or newspaper, be sure to make your social media presence felt. Encourage your team to be aware and armed with resources to help people follow, connect, and like you. WEEK 3 Turn followers into customers
June 2012
At this point, you or someone on your team are actively communicating with your followers, friends, or connections. Continue sending out information on how your product benefits a problem faced by customers. However, be more informational versus sales, sales, sales. Host or sponsor an event to meet your social network offline. This is an opportunity to help them with a particular customer pain without selling. WEEK 4 Measure your social media campaign As a team, you should have determined how you would measure your social media campaign in week one. Now go to work to see the impact social media has on your company (new customers, new opportunities, etc.). This link http://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/5-tools-thathelp-measure-your-social-media-influence/ provides some great tools to help you get started.
