Podcasts are video recordings made to download onto a computer or iPod. Pod meaning the type of electronic it can be downloaded onto and casts meaning the type of video. 2. Admit gives it more of a feeling that it is true that arent going to lie. This is Shepard trying to prove his other point for not using podcasts at colleges the students would see it as a way not to go to class. 3. He uses passive voice with the apathetic students of today and the lazy students podcast will create later. Meaning the slacking ones today and the ones that will begin to slack later active and passive. C. Discussing Main Point and Meaning 1. One benefit is the professor will not have to repeat themselves over and over again another benefit is if one student didnt quite understand something or does not have enough background on it they can research it and go back to later. 2. Attendance in student will drop therefore the student will rely on podcasting for the lecture and the notes. Another downfall is the professor might want to work less on the lecture and not give the student their one-hundred percent effort.

3. Shepard does believe podcasting can have its use but only very limited to the students and of course the professor for them not to rely so much on podcasting. Maybe record the lecture and give the podcast for the student who was ill that day. D. Examining Sentences, Paragraphs, and Organization 1. For example a student who has been ill for that day or maybe a long amount of time should be allowed to access a podcast.

Having the kids worried about what they ae wearing instead of why they are even go to school. 2.
