BOSIET/FOET / T-BOSIET/T-FOET OPITO Approved
Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (3.0 days) The OPITO approved BOSIET course provides the delegate with a range of important survival tools including Safety, Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, First Aid and Hypothermia, Helicopter Safety and Escape and Survival at Sea. OPITO Approved Certificates will be issued by COENS Safety Training Centre. The course elements cover: Safety Induction Sea Survival & First Aid Fire Fighting and Self Rescue Helicopter Safety & Escape (including HUET with EBS) Further Offshore Emergency Training (1.0 day) This FOET course is a 1-day course which must be undertaken by individuals who have a valid BOSIET or TBOSIET or FOET or TFOET certificate. The FOET certificate re-validates a delegates survival training for a further 4 years. OPITO Approved Certificates will be issued by COENS Safety Training Centre. The course elements cover: Helicopter Safety & Escape (including HUET with EBS) Emergency First Aid Fire Fighting and Self Rescue Tropical Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (2.5 days) T-BOSIET course are to introduce delegates to the specific safety issues and regimes relevant to offshore installations, and to equip them with the basic emergency response knowledge and skills for commuting to and from offshore installations by helicopter in tropical regions. The course elements cover: Safety Induction Sea Survival & First Aid Fire Fighting and Self Rescue Helicopter Safety and Escape Tropical Further Offshore Emergency Training (1.0 day) The T-FOET is open to persons who have a valid (upto-date) OPITO approved T-BOSIET or T-FOET or BOSIET or FOET certificate. Basic Offshore Safety Training (2.0 days) This course forms part of the common induction process, and is the minimum required standard of safety training for all offshore workers. The course elements cover: Safety Induction Sea Survival & First Aid Fire Fighting and Self Rescue HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) Basic H2S Awareness Training (1.0day) The course focuses on the practical application of "Working In Hydrogen Sulphide Hazard Areas Procedure" and the use of related safety equipment. The mode of instruction will be theoretical input as to the characteristics, and hazard properties of H2S followed by theory and practical session on the use of Breathing Apparatus. Theory form the basis for the following key learning objectives; A full understanding and appreciation of the "Working Authorized Gas Tester (2.0day) This gas-testing course provides basic training for personnel who, as part of their normal duties, are required to carry out gas testing at their installation and facilities. The course provides the foundation upon which successful trainees can become Authorized Gas Testers. The course is a prerequisite for entry into the gas testing training course. In H2S Hazard Areas Procedure", for a safe system of work and effective escape in the event of an H2S emergency Familiarization with gas detection equipment to ensure a safe working environment and early indication of a dangerous situation A basic understanding of the respiratory equipment available to enable personnel to work both safely in an H2S environment and to provide them with a safe means of escape in the event of an emergency

Understanding Incident Investigation Workshop (3.0day) Course participants are provided with an overview and basic knowledge of industrial incident investigation, thus be able to facilitate, lead or contribute as an efficient team member in an incident investigations and analysis. Objectives: Describe the importance of incident investigation Describe incident causation and contribution of human failures to an incident State and explain main elements in investigation procedures, carrying out fact findings and interviews Perform causal analysis by using Tripod Beta principles Describe and explain company incident's notification & reporting mechanism Job Hazard Analysis (2.0day) This course provides participants with basic knowledge and skills to conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) in their respective workplaces. Upon completion of the course, delegates will be able to: Describe the importance of JHA / Describe the relationship between JHA, PTW & HSE Case / Identify hazards, assess risk & apply control measures / Recovery measures / Corrective actions for a specific task / Carry out JHA at their respective workplaces by applying the HEMP concept Worksite Hazard Management (3.0day) This course is designed to enhance knowledge and skills of frontline supervisory personnel in hazard management in the workplace. Basic Firefighting / Fire Safety & Firewatch
Basic Firefighting (1.0 day) This course is designed to provide basic knowledge and skills to operate basic fire fighting equipment and effect self rescue techniques. By gaining knowledge about the nature of fire and competence in handling basic fire fighting equipment, we can muster confidence in our ability to respond safely and effectively in potentially life-threatening situations. The course elements cover: Combustion theory The use of appropriate hand held portable fire extinguishers correctly and safely Techniques for individual and group escape through smoke filled and dark environments The course elements cover: Combustion theory Fire Prevention & Emergency Preparedness Firefighting Procedures Firefighting Mediums and Equipment Gas Monitoring Fire Safety & Firewatch (1.0 day) Because many of the jobs in the oil and gas industry include hot work and are located offshore, fire safety and fire prevention are important topics for all employees to be familiar with. This course is designed to provide basic firefighting theory and fire safety training catered to the discipline of Fire-Watch. Delegates will gain a basic level of understanding of the responsibilities of being on fire watch, how to use a fire extinguisher and how to notify personnel of an immediate threat to life safety.

Basic CPR (0.5 day) First Aid training with Adult, Child, Infant CPR This course provides individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for breathing, cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses for victims of sudden cardiac arrest, until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. The course covers: Personal safety at an accident scene Casualty assessment Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation Basic CPR + AED (0.5 day) First Aid training with Adult, Child, Infant CPR, & Automated External Defibrillator Training This course provides individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for breathing, cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses, including how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest, until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. Emergency First Aid - Refresher (0.5 day) This course is adapted serve as a refresher session to the Emergency First Aid course. Its generally recommended that First Aiders renew their skill-sets at least every 6 months. The content is always being updated so come along and learn something new! Defensive Driving Course - Level I (1.0 day) Traveling, driving, and being a pedestrian in South Korea for the first time can be a daunting experience, based on the culture, Highway Code, local city intricacies, and rural road conditions. This course is geared at providing awareness of Korean Driving Regulations and driving habits. The course covers: Traffic conditions and driving culture in Korea Steps to reduce the frequency and severity of road accidents What to do in case of an emergency or accident Driving and living safely in Korea Defensive Driving Course - Refresher (0.5 day) This refresher course serves as to re-familiarize the driver to Korean Driving Regulations and driving Habits. IRATA - Level I / II / III
Industrial Rope Access Technician Level I (6.0 days) This intensive training program is designed to ensure delegates are competent in all Industrial Rope Access techniques currently used in a variety of exposed situations. Level I technicians are capable of: Performing a full range of Rope Access techniques on site under the supervision of a Rope Access Safety Supervisor. Maintenance and examination of personal Rope Access equipment and assist in rigging and rescue. Executing simple rescue scenarios Upon successful completion, the delegate will be authorized to operate supervised in an Industrial environment. Industrial Rope Access Technician Level II (5.0 days) This hands-on course is intended to prepare attendees for IRATA Level II Technician certification. Level II focuses on more advanced rigging required of the Technician working in a wide variety of environments. Self- and team-rescue, including hauling and lowering skills, will be emphasized. The course elements cover: Safety of Rope Access Equipment and Systems Basic and Advanced Access Techniques Anchor Systems Standard Rescue Procedures Using Mechanical Advantage and Lowering Systems Industrial Rope Access Technician Level III (5.0 days) Entry requirements: Prospective candidates should note that IRATA has entry requirements of a minimum 18 years of age and a candidate's maximum weight should not exceed 100kg (15 and 3/4 stones). A self certified medical form is required for the training. Candidates should be aware IRATA courses are physically demanding and candidates should have an aptitude for heights, the ability to work safely at height and an appropriate level of fitness. This hands-on course is intended to prepare attendees for IRATA Level III Technician certification. Level III focuses on team leadership skills and job safety management skills, including advanced rescue scenarios and advanced rigging. Founded in 2006 as an affiliate of COENS Energy, COENS Safety services major off-shore and ocean construction projects conducted at HYUNDAI Heavy Industry, SAMSUNG Heavy Industry, and DAEWOO Shipbuilding & Maritime Engineering with various HSE training and consulting. Located on the grounds of the Busan Fire Academy, COENS Safety operates a state of the art training facility, hosting internationally approved offshore safety training courses in sea survival, firefighting, and first aid. In association with the K2 Velosi Group, COENS also operates an IRATA (International Rope Access Trade Association) training facility on Goeje Island. Our OPITO-approved, offshore, industrial, and HSE training courses, in association with SMTCG, are delivered in English and Korean language without the use of an interpreter.
