For the last twenty years, implant dentistry has provided a
mainstream option for patients who have missing teeth in their
mouth. Implant supported crowns are predictable restorations
that replace missing teeth, without drilling down adjacent teeth
and restoring them with bridgework. Implants can also anchor
full dentures and partial dentures for a secure ft.
For the past 18 years, Dr. Helen Chiu has been in-
volved in implant dentistry, from a simple single tooth
replacement to multiple full arch reconstructions.
She does both the surgical as well as the restorative parts of
the implants. This includes single crowns, bridges and also

Recently, mini implants have become available as an
economic alternative to conventional implants for
