ABSTRCT

The objective of the Natural Disaster Risk Management program is to develop a broader understanding of Risk Management practices and enhance their effectiveness. Natural Disaster Management Program comprised of 1. Comprehensive Natural Disaster Risk Management Frame Work. 2. Financial strategies for managing the economic impacts of Natural Disasters. 3. Safe Cities. 4. Community Based Disaster Risk Management. 5. Damage and Reconstruction Needs Assessment. A general view is offered to development practioners and the other four are the specialization. Comprehensive Natural Disaster Risk Management Frame Work: This addresses basic questions such as Why are disasters a development issues? And What are the components of comprehensive disaster risk management? And it reviews the institutional arrangement and financing mechanisms of disaster management system and identifies the role of Natural and local actors in the processes related to risk management mitigation and financing. This frame work targets general development practioners to raises their awareness and sensitivity in prevention of Natural Disasters. Natural disasters are unpredictable, destructive and often deadly in countries exposed to natural hazards, disasters put a high toll on human development. According to the recent UNDP Report Reducing Disaster Risk. A challenge for development more than 180 deaths per day is recorded in different parts of the world as consequences of natural disasters.

Why disaster risk reduction is considered a development challenge. It reviews the trends in disaster occurrence, its impact, frequency and regional distribution and Millennium Development Goals. And it informs about International cooperation and initiatives that aim at reducing disaster risk at global scale.

Building Blocks of Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management:


Basic concepts related to disaster management and the key elements of a comprehensive disaster management framework. The objectives of the introductory presentation are twofold: 1. to have a common understanding of principles, terms and processes involved and disaster management and 2. to guide through the complexity of issues development practioners are facing when they deal with natural disasters. The approach described in this module will be used throughout the overall disaster risk management learning program.

PURPOSE:
The system is an online application that can be accessed all NGOs and outside users as well with proper login provided, which will give better service to the users.

Scope:
This System can be used as an application for the use of Disaster affected people and local authorities as well central authorities.

And it gives explanation about Disaster cycle diagram and it also gives what we are assumed and dependencies. It also supports specific requirements and also it support functional requirements. It also gives explanation about any doubt and queries.
