Gov. Signs Innovate Maryland; Tax Credit Bills

Last month, Gov. OMalley signed into law Innovate Maryland, a program to support the commercialization of discoveries made in Maryland university labs. OMalley also signed a of theJob Creation Tax Credit, which offers businesses that create new jobs a $1,000 cred addition, legislation was approved to expand the eligibility requirements for jurisdictions un Maryland Economic Development Tax Credit program, allowing businesses that invest in p qualified distressed counties to qualify for tax credits worth up to $5.5 million.
