Dreaded govt: Government is always afraid of its own weaknesses.

Till date, the menace of naxalism affects the region termed as red corridor. Lakhs of civilians and security personnel lost their lives at the hands of naxalites. And govts failure regarding its curbing is quite visible. These naxalites are no outsiders, but still all the peace talks have failed and the restoration of these areas is also not realizable until and unless some degree of peace is maintained in these areas. So the last option is to evade this form of terrorism and this is possible only if army option is seeking. The question arises: if this is so, then why is it not used till date? The answer lies in the broad still narrow-minded view of the UPA govt. home minister says that using army option shows the weakness of civil agencies and that that would create army rule in these areas! The question is that ours is a democratic set up. So, using army to fight terrorism, in no way ensures army rule over any area. And take the worst case. Imagine the army rule over these areas. But at least there will be peace. People will not be dreaded all the time. What is the point of such a democratic set up if it cant ensure safety of t\its own citizens. The people given responsibility to run the democratic institutions are just concerned about themselves and they have forgotten the real idea behind democracy that it is by the people, to the people and for the people. So, not understanding the fundamental of democracy is the biggest loophole of our ruling govt. Next weakness is related to the cabinets unwillingness to cover PM under Lokpals ambit. The reason cited by our honorable HR minister for this is quite frivolous. He says that tell me one country where PM is prosecuted. My question is why is this such a big thing? At the end, PM is just another public servant. Ok, lets take the case when he is not covered under Lokpal. Not covering him is like not covering a lot of portfolios under his supervision. And that can prove a deterrent to the whole idea of Lokpal. Now take the case when he is under this umbrella. Even if some charges are found true against him and he had to step down from his position, so is it that bad? I mean, if a PM is indulged in corruption, so does he have any right to hold the cabinet and the countrys most powerful position? The answer is a strict NO. Although that would create instability, but stability at the hands of a corrupt PM is not even worth it. Next, the recent case of Ramadev being bullied by Delhi police shows the weakness of UPA govt only. They thrashed the whole ramlila maidan, which had thousands of innocent people, including women, children and senior citizens, for the fear that if the movement gains momentum then all their secrets regarding their black money in international banks and so on will come out. And instead of being sorry about their inhuman behavior, PM was quoted as saying, we didnt have any other option. This is so insane our constitution allows peaceful protests and it grants every citizen a right to be heard. But our present govt is not worried about constitution. They are just covering themselves into an impenetrable shield, through which no citizen can see their actions and they use the

pillars of democracy for their own good. And even politicized the issue so that the original matter gets shelved. They said that the likes of baba ramdev and Anna Hazare are masks of the opposition parties like RSS and VHP. They didnt want this movement against corruption to gain popularity among the masses. When India's ruling Congress party swept back into power last May its mood was one of bullish self-confidence, but a year in office has revealed divisions and an unexpected political frailty. So, instead of trying to conceal itself behind the veil of cowardice, our govt is required to take some measures, need not to be heroic, but some human ones, so that it can come before public with full confidence and fearlessness. A dreaded govt cant drive a 125 crore strong population. So that they can win the public vote of confidence, that they seem to have lost over these years!! Our PM needs to speak out & take responsibility for their failures and instead of just forming more and more committees on every issue, he comes with solutions. Its the dire need of the hour! Most people in India have short memory; they tend to forget an issue once a next issue is on the fray. The issue like Mumbai terror strikes is almost forgotten. But not everyone is the same! The issue of black money was last raised during 2009 elections and after that its in 2011. There are some responsible citizens and their voice against these vices should not be curbed. Rather, govt should work in their co-operation for publics good. A dreaded govt cant drive a 125 crore strong nation. As living in a democratic society, its my call that our govt becomes more efficient and supply us with good governance.
