1. SCREEN IS BLACK AS AN UPBEAT DANCE SONG STARTS. FADE IN: 1 EXT. BEVERLY HILLS HIGH SCHOOL - DAY 1

Wide Overhead Shot. Screen reads Beverly Hills, California. 2 INT. BEVERLY HILLS HIGH SCHOOL GYMNASIUM - DAY DANCE SONG CONTINUES: JENNIFER AUGUST, a very pretty 18 year old, is doing her gymnastics in a rhythm that is in sync with the MUSIC. 3 EXT. MIAMI BEACH - DAY DANCE SONG CONTINUES: Wide overhead shot. Across the screen it says MIAMI BEACH. 4 INT. COMMERCIAL KITCHEN - HIT PARADE HOTEL - DAY DANCE SONG CONTINUES: We see a young good looking boy KEN who is about 20 years old. While washing dishes he dances some fancy Hip Hop steps. 5 INT. DANCE STUDIO - BALLET CLASS - DAY DANCE SONG CONTINUES: In leotard, Jennifer doing some ballet moves and pirouettes. 6 INT. COMMERCIAL KITCHEN - HIT PARADE HOTEL- DAY DANCE SONG CONTINUES: Ken sweeps, and dances with a broom as he works. 7 INT. SCHOOL HALLWAY - DAY DANCE SONG CONTINUES: Jennifer in jeans, in the school hallway, now doing several Hip Hop moves. Splits, leaps. Other kids around her watching. 7 6 5 4 3 2

Jennifer is showing off her great hip hop dance moves to her girlfriends. Her friends love the steps and applaud her. 8 INT. EMPLOYEE LOCKER ROOM - DAY DANCE SONG CONTINUES: Ken dances to his locker M.J. style, brushes his hair with his hands and slams the locker shut. On his locker door is a MIAMI BEACH Dance Contest sign. A busboy nearby looks at him with a smile, and gives him a thumbs up. Ken points his finger, like shooting a gun, smiles, and dances to the door. Split screen of Jennifer and Ken Hip Hop dancing incredibly. DANCE SONG VOLUME LOWERS. 9 EXT. BEVERLY HILLS HIGH SCHOOL - DAY Jennifer hugs her girlfriends goodbye outside the school. JENNIFER See you guys next year. BETTY See ya, Jennifer. Have fun on your trip. JENNIFER Oh yeah, sure. (Sarcastically) And with that she is gone with a smile. Jennifer then approaches a large expensive car where a driver awaits her. He opens the rear door for her and she gets in. 10 EXT. ALLEY WAY - EXTERIOR OF HIT PARADE HOTEL - DAY DANCE SONG dances and passing by nasty look 10 9 8

VOLUME GOES UP comes from a Ghetto Blaster as Ken puts out the garbage. An older man HAL SANDERS is him. HAL SANDERS, doesnt like the music and has a on his face. Ken addresses Hal in a friendly way.

KEN Evening to you, Pops. Hal looks at Ken with cold eyes. OPENING DANCE SONG 1 ENDS. 11 INT. DINING ROOM - BEVERLY HILLS MANSION - DAY 11

Jennifer sits with her mother at the table as a butler serves them on silver platters. The mother is a beautiful woman in her forties who is used to having the very best at all times. MOTHER You have an early flight tomorrow, dear. So make sure all of your luggage is packed before you turn in tonight. JENNIFER I am not at all sure I really want to take this trip, Mother. You told me i could go to Thailand to study Thai Dancing. Its so interesting. MOTHER Weve been over this already Jennifer. Your father wants you to spend the summer with him. You can still practice your Thai dancing. Whats so bad about that? JENNIFER Nothing, Mother. Its just that to this day I still dont understand why you and my father separated and didnt get a divorce. MOTHER Ive told you Jennifer, its something I prefer not to discuss. Now eat your dinner and dont worry. Youre father manages a very unique hotel, where almost all the help are performers. I am certain you will have a wonderful time in MIAMI BEACH. Jennifer dips her fork into the food on her plate, dissatisfied with her Mothers answer.

A view of a jet moving through the sky. 2. A NEW HIP HOP DANCE SONG KICKS IN: 16 EXT. MIAMI BEACH AIRPORT - DAY Jennifer walks over to a driver with a private car who has her name on his sign. The driver takes her bags, opens her door, gets in and they drive off. 17 EXT. PRIVATE CAR - COLLINS AVENUE - MIAMI BEACH - DAY 17 16

Shot of the car making its way down a busy main beach road. We see the beautiful beach and the many hotels lining it. 18 EXT. HIT PARADE HOTEL - MIAMI BEACH - DAY 18

Jennifers car pulls up to the front of an upscale boutique Hotel called Hit Parade Hotel. As she gets out of the car she looks at this place with delight. It just looks like fun. She sees a good looking, hip man in his late forties, THE CAPTAIN, who is dressed like an old British soldier. He is welcoming all the Hotels new guests in his own special way. THE CAPTAIN Welcome to Miami Beach and the Hit Parade Hotel. The place where all your dreams come true. He does a Poppin/Lockin Dance step and speaks to Jennifer. THE CAPTAIN (CONT'D) This way, my lady. Your room awaits you. I know who YOU are. Youre the lady of the house !! She smiles and follows him to the door. JENNIFER And whats your name?

THE CAPTAIN They call me The CAPTAIN. JENNIFER The CAPTAIN? THE CAPTAIN You got it. You want something around here, just ask The CAPTAIN. JENNIFER Thats a good thing to know. THE CAPTAIN (Points his finger in a Hip way) You got it AGAIN! The Captain opens the Lobby door and does another dance move. THE CAPTAIN (CONT'D) Welcome to MY hotel, my lady. JENNIFER I thought this was my fathers hotel. He answers with a big smile. THE CAPTAIN Things work out better for me, because I let him believe that. She smiles and goes inside as he does another Dance move. 19 INT. HOTEL LOBBY - DAY 19

In the Lobby Jennifer looks on in awe as she sees a man riding around on a unicycle while juggling bowling pins, and a girl in a ballet tutu also dances right by her. As she walks through the Lobby she sees a man on tall stilts, and she passes by a couple, dressed in a 1800s southern period gown and a 1800s period suit, talking to each other. MAN #1 Frankly, my dear. I dont give a damn! JENNIFER Haha, thats great!! Gone With The Wind my favorite movie!

She walks over to the check in counter, and the receptionist Antonio, in a Shakespearean outfit comes to wait on her. ANTONIO What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. He reaches under the counter and he hands her a single rose. ANTONIO (CONTD) For you, my lady. I am Antonio YOUR receptionist. She takes the rose. JENNIFER Thank you, kind sir. She curtsies, he bows. A handsome boy in his early 20s DANNY GOODMAN greets her. DANNY Hello, you must be Jennifer. JENNIFER Yes, yes I am. DANNY Im Danny. The head bellboy here at the Hotel. You can call me Dan. Jennifer is distracted by Ken who is in the lobby doing some great dance steps with a crowd circled around watching him. HIP HOP DANCE SONG 2 FADES and JENNIFER and KENS LOVE THEME 3 KICKS IN and everything becomes slow motion and dream like. It is as if time stood still as Ken and Jennifer look at each other. Danny wants to break this up but Jennifer is lost in a dream. There is a definite connection between them. DANNY (V.O.) (CONTD) Your father asked me to greet you and bring you to your suite.. Hes waiting for you there.... We really should be going now.... Your father is waiting...... Jennifer can you hear me?...Jennifer?...Jennifer? She comes out of her dream and for a moment seems lost. JENNIFER Hmmm? Oh, yes, yes of course.

KEN and JENNIFERS THEME 3 ENDS Danny motions with his hand. DANNY Shall we? Jennifer follows Danny. She turns around and looks toward where Ken was, but he is gone. She continues to the elevator. 20 INT. PENTHOUSE SUITE DOORWAY- DAY 20

As Danny opens the door he addresses Jennifer one last time. DANNY Have a wonderful stay and I am certain I will see you again, Hopefully very soon. JENNIFER Thank you. Here, let me give you a tip or something. She digs into her purse. DANNY No, no. I couldnt accept money from you. The chance to gaze upon your beauty has been more than enough payment for me. JENNIFER I see. Thank you, very much. Danny starts to speak. But Jennifer closes the door on him. 21 INTERIOR - JENNIFERS SUITE - DAY 21

She exhales and shakes her head as she turns to find her father standing there. This is JERRY AUGUST, a very good looking, well dressed and polished American business man in his late forties who used to be a world champion boxer. He smiles and opens his arms to embrace his daughter Jennifer. JERRY Jenny. JENNIFER Father. She runs over to him and gives him a big hug. They separate and Jerry August stands there looking at her in awe.

JERRY Look at you. Youve gotten so big and so pretty too. I cant believe its been almost three years. JENNIFER Actually, its been five. Five years, three months and fourteen days to be exact Father. Jerry just stares at her for a moment. JERRY I see. JENNIFER Ive counted every moment. An uneasy moment of silence as both are uncomfortable. JERRY Okay, Im really sorry about that. But let me tell you, I have never forgotten about my number one girl. JENNIFER It doesnt always feel like that, you know. I mean, I basically grew up without a father. JERRY I know...I know. And Im sorry about that too Jenny. I guess I just got too caught up in the glamour of the boxing world.. I never did take any of your mothers money, you know that, right? JENNIFER Its not always about the money, Dad. JERRY Come on, what do you say we try to get past that and enjoy the summer together. We cant change the past but there is no limit to what we can do in the future, right? She smiles at him. JENNIFER Thats true.

JERRY So how do you like the place so far? (He sits down) JENNIFER (She sits) The hotel is great. I never saw a place like this before. JERRY I thought you might like it. Your mother tells me that youre quite the dancer. Is that right? JENNIFER Ive been studying for some years now. JERRY Are you really good? She gives him a look. JENNIFER I AM your daughter. JERRY (grinning) True. Very true. His cell phone rings. He looks at it. JERRY (CONTD) Uh oh. I have a business meeting Im late for. But Ill be back shortly. Why dont you get some rest for now and we can have dinner this evening. Hows that sound? JENNIFER Sounds good to me. He gets up and gives her a small kiss on her forehead. JERRY Im really glad youre here, kiddo. JENNIFER Me too. JERRY See you in a little while.

Jerry gives her a hug and leaves. Jennifer walks over to the window and looks out to see a panoramic view of the city. 4. A HIP HOP DANCE SONG KICKS IN. LYRICS TO FIT THE ACTION. 22 EXT. CITY STREET MIAMI BEACH - NIGHT 22

Jennifer walks alone down a busy street where there are clubs and discos, with lots of people going in and out of them. Jennifer comes to a Disco that looks interesting to her, and she stops and decides to go inside. 23 INT. DISCO CLUB - NIGHT 23

Jennifer walks through the club and sees people dancing everywhere. It energizes her. She notices a large crowd gathering, and in the middle is Ken again, performing a hiphop dance routine, which the crowd is loving. Jennifer is surprised to see the same guy she saw at the hotel. Ken notices her watching him and starts to dance for her only, at least for the moment. Jennifer is enjoying this attention. The dance ends and the crowd and Jennifer applaud wildly. The crowd disperses and Jennifer walks over to Ken. JENNIFER That was really good! Youre a great dancer. KEN Thanks JENNIFER Im Jennifer. Jennifer August. I saw you earlier in the Hit Parade Hotel Lobby. KEN Yeah, I saw you too. Im Ken. They shake hands awkwardly. JENNIFER Nice to meet you. KEN Same here. Wait a minute, did you say August? JENNIFER Yes.

KEN Youre the bosss daughter? JENNIFER Yes, I know. Is that a problem? KEN No, well...not yet anyway. JENNIFER Dont let it bother you. Hes not that bad. KEN Not to you, but for me, I could get fired. Im a dishwasher there. JENNIFER So, why would you lose your job? I dont think so. What have you done? KEN No, You dont understand. In my family i was taught that a person of my class doesnt mingle with a person in your class. JENNIFER Well, in my family everybody pretty much talks to everybody. So no problem. Okay? KEN Really? JENNIFER Really. (pause) How long have you been dancing? KEN About five years. JENNIFER Thats about the same as me. KEN (excited) Youre a dancer? JENNIFER Kind of...Well, I try.

12.

Ken motions towards the dance floor with his hand. KEN Then show me. JENNIFER Only if you dance with me. KEN Cool. If you say its okay...its okay! Ken takes her hand and leads her to the dance floor. She watches him dance for a moment and then she repeats what he just did, and does it REALLY well, and we see that Ken is impressed with her dancing. So they start dancing together and in a few moments a crowd gathers around watching them. This leads to a playful dance battle where one does a solo and invites the other to do one too. The crowd loves it. We see Danny is also in the club, watching them. And is not too happy about this. Jennifer and Ken continue to dance having a great time. HIP HOP DANCE SONG 4 FADES as we. DISSOLVE TO: 24 EXT. HIT PARADE HOTEL - LATER THAT NIGHT 24

Ken pulls up to the front of the Hotel on his small scooter with Jennifer on the back. Jennifer gets off. JENNIFER Thanks Ken, I had a great time. KEN Me too. There is an awkward moment between the two where neither one of them really knows what to say or do. JENNIFER So, will I see you again? KEN Sure, I have to be at work here in about five hours. JENNIFER Oh, sorry. I didnt realize it was getting so late.

KEN Not a problem. I do it all the time. Well, not with a girl...you...you know what I mean. JENNIFER I think I do. See you later. Ken drives off as Jennifer walks towards the front door. The Captain approaches her. THE CAPTAIN What is this? My lady rides in on a pumpkin, when she has so many grand chariots at her beck and call? JENNIFER Sometimes I think I prefer the company of pumpkins. The Captain has a big smile across his face. THE CAPTAIN Wiser words have never been spoken, my lady. She smiles back at him. THE CAPTAIN (CONT'D) Come, let me get the door for you. The Captain does a Dance step as they move toward the door. 25 INT. PENTHOUSE SUITE - NIGHT 25

5. THAI SONG KICKS IN. Jennifer sits on the bed with her laptop. She types in Thai Dancing and tries some Thai hand moves, gets off the bed and does some Thai foot moves as well. She seems very pleased with herself and continues. CUT TO: 26 EXT. HIT PARADE HOTEL - DAY 26

Ken pulls up to Hotel on his scooter, jumps off and runs to the door. The Captain in a new outfit opens the door for him. KEN Good morning, Captain.

THE CAPTAIN Good morning...pumpkin. Ken looks at him strangely, not knowing what he means. 27 INT. HOTEL LOBBY - DAY 27

Ken crosses the lobby as a couple Tap dance in front of him. Ken sees Danny and tries to avoid him. But its too late. DANNY Ken! Ken!!! Ken stops and looks at Danny, and can tell that he is upset. DANNY (CONT'D) Front and center. Right now! Ken walks over to him and stands in front of him. DANNY (CONT'D) Youre late Ken. Again. Ken stammers a bit. KEN Yeah, Im a...Im sorry about... It couldnt be helped. I...I had some trouble with my scooter. DANNY Really? I think you had some trouble with your brain. Ken looks at him questioningly. DANNY (CONT'D) I was also at the club last night. I saw you dancing with the bosss daughter. What were you thinking, huh? KEN We were just dancing. DANNY Yeah, well how about you Dance your ass up to Mr. Sanders suite and make his bed. Hes already yelled at me because you werent here.

15.

KEN Im Sorry....Ill do it right away. Danny gets even closer to Ken, in a threatening manner. DANNY And Ken...stay away from the August girl, or youre gonna have nothing but trouble around here. Got it? KEN I got it. DANNY Now go and do your work, and well see if you still have a job at the end of the day. Ken goes towards the elevator and passes two men in Victorian costumes who are fencing with each other. He turns back at Danny who is still glaring at him. Ken just smiles back. 28 INT. HOTEL - HOTEL HALLWAY AND HALS SUITE - DAY 28

Ken is about to knock on the door. Before he can, it opens to reveal Hal Sanders, who is not in a very happy mood. HAL SANDERS Its about time you showed up. Get in here and get my bed done. KEN Yes sir. Ken enters the suite and we FOLLOW him in. Hal sits down. 29 INT. HAL SANDERS SUITE - DAY 29

Ken goes right to the king sized bed and begins making it up. HAL SANDERS Ive been living in this hotel for years and I pay good money for it. I expect my bed to be made and my towels to be changed by nine a.m. every morning. No exception. KEN Yes sir.

HAL SANDERS Is that too much to ask? KEN No sir. HAL SANDERS Because if it is, I could go and live somewhere else. And I think if I did that, you would probably lose your job. Isnt that right? KEN Yes sir. HAL SANDERS So just finish your work and get out of here. Hal gets up and walks toward the next room. KEN Ok Pops...I mean, Yes sir. HAL SANDERS (He Stops and turns) One more thing boy. Dont ever call me Pops again. Im not your father. Im not anybodys father. Not anymore!!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!!! Ken looks at Hal and sees his face has gone completely red. KEN Yes sir. Hal turns, storms into the adjoining room and slams the door. Ken starts to clean the coffee table and sees a framed photo of a young man and a Helicopter on it. He looks at photo and wonders who this young man is. 30 INT. HOTEL HALS HALLWAY - DAY 30

Ken is walking down Hals hallway with an arm load of towels and dirty linens. Jennifer spots Ken and approaches him. JENNIFER Hi Ken, Ive been looking for you. KEN says nothing and looks very depressed.

JENNIFER (CONTD) Not having a good day, huh? KEN Not really, got chewed out by my boss and then again by a crazy old man who lives here. JENNIFER Sounds like you need a break. Why dont you take the rest of the day off and show me around the city. KEN Id like to do that, but todays a bad day. Id get fired, for sure. JENNIFER Today is a very good day! You need cheering up and I need a guide, a perfect match. So lets go. He smiles but is still worried. KEN Youre Crazy!! I cant do that. JENNIFER Dont worry. You wont get fired. I promise you that. AND...I dont take no for an answer. Jennifer takes the dirty linens from his arms. JENNIFER (CONT'D) Give me those. She drops them on the floor against the wall. KEN You cant do... JENNIFER I cant do what? My father runs the hotel. Dont worry, Ill take care of it. Now come on, lets have some fun! Youre right i AM crazy!! Crazy and Fun!! Lets go. Jennifer grabs his hand and runs off with him. 6. A HIP HOP DANCE SONG KICKS IN OVER THE FOLLOWING MONTAGE.

EXT. MIAMI BEACH - MONTAGE- DAY/EVENING

The montage will be these scenes and others, as we see Ken and Jennifer have a great fun time and start to fall in love. 1. Ken and Jennifer riding through the city on the scooter. 2. They Take pictures with the local golden bicycle man. 3. Running on the beach. 4. Water skiing ala AARON MAN. 5. Ken and Jennifer on the beach watching fireworks. 6. Theyre at a Buddhist Temple. She lights a candle and says a prayer. Ken asks her why she did it. She says she is hoping and praying that her Mom and Dad get back together one day. 7. In front of a Boxing sign or exhibition. Jennifer pretends to punch Ken and Ken falls over in slow motion. 8. Local market, where Ken buys Jennifer a necklace with a heart on it. Nothing expensive, just a trinket but it has a lot of meaning to her and her facial expression shows it. 9. MIAMI BEACH Sign with restaurant boats in foreground. Jennifer doesnt know how to use chopsticks so Ken teaches her. She lifts some noodles and they slide out over and over again. 10. They stop and watch Street B-Boy Break dancers. 11. Sunrise. Standing on the end of a long pier over the ocean, looking into each others eyes deeply. 12. They eat Ice Cream. He starts Juggling with it. Some falls on his face. She throws more ice cream on his face, he throws it back at her. It becomes an ice cream fight between the two of them. Other customers who are watching this see how much fun it is, and join in, so everyone near them gets involved in it. It ends with them hugging, as Ice Cream drips all over them. The other customers do the same, so everyone is laughing and having a Great time. END OF MONTAGE and END OF UP TEMPO HIP HOP DANCE SONG 6. CUT TO:

EXT. JENNIFERS SUITE - BALCONY OVERLOOKING THE SEA- DAY

Jennifer and Jerry sit at a breakfast table on her balcony. She is putting jam on a piece of toast as he speaks to her. JERRY So where have you been I havent see much of you? JENNIFER Oh, Ive been around. Just enjoying this wonderful city of yours. JERRY All by yourself? JENNIFER Well, not exactly. JERRY Not exactly? What does that mean, not exactly? She looks at him like kids look at their parents some times. JENNIFER Dad, please, Im 18 years old. He smiles an uncomfortable smile and then sips his coffee. JERRY Yes, yes you are. (a bit sarcastically) Sorry, I keep forgetting my little girl is all grown up now. JENNIFER Dad. JERRY Okay, okay. Its just that I worry about you. You know? JENNIFER Well, you dont have to. He doesnt agree with this, but decides to let it go for now. JERRY So, how do you like the hotel?

JENNIFER Its wonderful. All the performers everywhere. This place is great. JERRY It was all my idea. It needed turning around, so thats what I came up with. JENNIFER Its genius. Really. Ive never even imagined anything like this. JERRY Good, Im glad you like it. (A Pause) Listen, I was thinking you should go out with a nice boy, so I arranged a dinner date for you tonight with Danny the Bellboy. JENNIFER Thats what you call thinking? JERRY Hey, a good looking All American kid, and from a good family too. Im sure you two will get along. JENNIFER Hes really not my type, Dad. And Ive already met someone. Her father smiles at this. JERRY Really? Thats great. Tell me more. Who is he? JENNIFER Hes a really nice guy and hes well...kinda cute. In fact he works here at the hotel. Suddenly Jerry becomes concerned. JERRY What? What does he do here?

JENNIFER Hes a dishwasher. And I think he does a bunch of other things too, including dancing. And hes a really fabulous dancer. Jerry gets very serious now. JERRY Jennifer, I will not have you dating some kid who works as a dishwasher in my hotel, and is obviously below your station. Now Jennifer is getting angry. JENNIFER Below my station? JERRY Yes, below your station. She begins to shake her head no. JENNIFER You...you cant do that. JERRY I can do that. Im your father. JENNIFER No, I mean you cant just disappear from my life for five years then all of a sudden be the caring father who is going to tell me what to do. The time for that has already passed. You missed most of my teenage years. Im eighteen now, Dad. I get to make my own choices. He looks at her for several moments. JERRY Jeeze, you have so much of your mother in you, Jennifer. JENNIFER Im not sure if thats good or bad. JERRY Neither am I. Jennifer puts her hand on her fathers hand.

JENNIFER Dad, Im glad to be here and to spend this time with you. I didnt think I was going to be, but I am. And I dont want you to take this the wrong way. I do need you to be my father. I have always needed that. Always. But I dont need you to make these types of decisions for me. Can you understand that? JERRY Wow that was even more your mother. He shakes his head and forces a smile. Jennifer smiles. JENNIFER Can you understand? JERRY Im trying Jenny. Im trying. There is an awkward pause, then: JERRY (CONT'D) Listen, Jennifer...I want you to have that date with Danny tonight, okay? I know you dont agree with it but I want you to do it. JENNIFER And what? You think Im going to suddenly change my mind about him? Is that what you think? JERRY Maybe. I dont know. I just want you to spend some time with somebody with a little culture. Do you want to stay here this summer? JENNIFER Yes, I do. JERRY Then youre going to do this one thing for me, understand? Jennifer looks at him for a moment and feels like shes between a rock and a hard place.

JENNIFER But I dont want to do... He cuts her off. JERRY Thats it, Jennifer. I dont want to talk about it anymore. She just stares at him, knowing there is nothing she can say. JERRY (CONTD) Good, Im glad thats settled. Now why dont we try to enjoy this great view and wonderful breakfast. Jennifer drops her piece of toast onto her plate. JENNIFER Im not hungry anymore. She gets up. JERRY Jennifer. She ignores him and goes towards the balcony door. JERRY (CONTD) Jennifer. Come on, dont act like this. Jennifer! No answer. A very pretty, sexy girl 19-22 and two other same age girls are in front of the hotel dancing a hot number that quickly gathers a crowd. The lead girl is CHARLOTTE BLAINE, known as SHOTSY. They use everything around, even the Hotel as props. Ken is in the crowd and its obvious that he and Shotsy know each other. Shotsy definitely appears to like him a lot. 34 INT. HOTEL LOBBY - DAY 34

Jennifer walks through the lobby as 2 performers pass by her. Danny, who is at the bell desk, goes over to her.

DANNY Good morning, Jennifer. JENNIFER Good morning, Danny. DANNY Listen, I was ah, hoping you would let me show you around our city a little bit. Maybe take you to a very special and beautiful beach. JENNIFER Listen, my father told me I have to go out with you so Im going to, but dont expect it to be any fun, okay? And by the way, I have seen your beaches and your city already. Danny is surprised by this. DANNY Well, thats rather rude, isnt it? JENNIFER Danny, I dont mean to hurt your feelings or anything like that, but I just dont like you, okay? DANNY Well, we can work on that, I guess. Jennifer sees the crowd out front and the 3 girls dancing through the glass doors. JENNIFER Whats going on out there? DANNY Oh, thats nothing. Just Shotsy, and some of our regular dancers. JENNIFER Dancers? Id like to see them. Jennifer moves off and Danny follows her. 35 EXT. HIT PARADE HOTEL - DAY 35

Jennifer and Danny walk out to where Shotsy and the girls are dancing. Shotsy moves toward Ken, using her dance moves to entice him into joining her, and he does.

Jennifer is somewhat jealous of Shotsy, but still enjoys watching her dance. Ken sees Jennifer watching them and dances toward her. Shotsy sees this and pulls Ken away to dance more with her. JENNIFER Wow, they are incredible dancers. DANNY Theyre okay. Just rehearsing for the Big Dance Contest next week. JENNIFER Dance Contest? hmm sounds good. But Im sure you can dance better. DANNY Actually, I can. Danny jumps in, and surprisingly as he said he IS a great dancer, just as good as the rest of them. He grabs Shotsy and becomes her dance partner, and During the routine, he looks back at Jennifer just to make sure she is watching him dance. It is obvious that Ken and Danny are trying to impress her. The Captain leans in and speaks to Jennifer. THE CAPTAIN Dont worry missy, I think he likes you. JENNIFER Oh Yeah? Really? Which one of them? THE CAPTAIN Looks to me like its both of them. Now, aint that a wonderful problem to have? JENNIFER Guess thats one way to look at it. THE CAPTAIN I cant imagine any other way to look at it. But dont worry, youll choose the right one. The Captain has faith in you. He points his forefinger at her. THE CAPTAIN (CONT'D) Yes he does. She smiles warmly at him and he dances off also smiling. The dance routine finishes and everyone applauds the 5 dancers.

A HIP HOP DANCE SONG 7 ENDS Danny looks for Jennifer but cant find her, then he sees her walking off with Ken and hes angry. Shotsy comes up to him. SHOTSY Whos the new girl? DANNY The big bosss daughter. SHOTSY Shes cute too huh? DANNY She sure is. SHOTSY Can she dance? DANNY Yeah, and shes really good. SHOTSY That figures. (pause) Were going to have to do something about that. DANNY We sure are. CUT TO: 3.A. JENNIFER AND KENS ROMANTIC LOVE THEME KICKS IN. 36 EXT. MIAMI BEACH FRONT - DAY Jennifer and Ken are strolling along a pretty beach front. JENNIFER So whos the girl you were dancing with? KEN Oh thats Shotsy, my sometime dance partner. JENNIFER Shes REALLY a GREAT dancer !! Sexy too!! 36

KEN Yes she is, but its sort of a problem, us dancing together I mean. JENNIFER Why is that? KEN Well, she likes me, you know. And I dont feel the same way about her. It makes things a little awkward. JENNIFER Im sure it does. A moment of silence. JENNIFER (CONT'D) So, how come you dont like her? I mean, shes very pretty. KEN Yes, she is. And shes really a cool girl too, but I dont know. It just doesnt click for me, you know what I mean? JENNIFER I think so. So...what does click for you? KEN Youre full of questions today, arent you? JENNIFER Just trying to make small talk is all. KEN Is that what they call it now? Small talk? JENNIFER You know what I mean. KEN Youre right, I do. So youre gonna make me say it, right? JENNIFER Say what?

KEN You know what. JENNIFER I dont know what youre talking about. KEN Yes, you do. JENNIFER No, I dont. Ken stops walking and turns to face her. And she stops to face him as well. KEN I like you. (pause) There, I said it. That is what you wanted to hear, isnt it? Jennifers not sure how to respond but she does anyway. JENNIFER No, yes...well, I mean... if you really wanted to say it to me. KEN And I said it. So how about you? JENNIFER How about me, what? KEN You know what? Jennifer has a hard time looking directly into his eyes. JENNIFER I like you too. KEN There, that wasnt so hard, was it? JENNIFER Yes and no. KEN Exactly. Ken leans in a closer toward her and she leans in toward him, and it would seem they are just moments away from a kiss.

KEN (CONT'D) So, what do we do now? JENNIFER Im...Im not really sure. KEN Me either. Just a beat away from their first kiss they hear LOUD VOICES. SHOTSY (v.o.) Ken! JENNIFER AND KENS ROMANTIC LOVE THEME 3.A. ENDS. DANNY (v.o.) Jennifer! Danny and Shotsy a few feet away are coming towards them. SHOTSY Sorry to interrupt you guys, but Ken weve got some rehearsing to do if were going to win that contest. She grabs Ken by the Arm and begins to lead him off. She throws a wink back at Danny. DANNY And weve got a big date to plan. Danny throws a wink back to Shotsy.

8 UP TEMPO HIP HOP SONG KICKS IN 37 INT. REHEARSAL HALL - NIGHT Ken and Shotsy dancing. They are terrific and are executing a very difficult sequence of Hip Hop Dance steps. KEN That was great Shotsy. I think were gonna win again. SHOTSY Think? I KNOW were gonna win. Were an amazing team together. (Coming on to him) Dont you think so? KEN (Feeling a bit awkward) Yes Shotsy, we are for sure.... Im sorry, i gotta go and finish doing the dishes in the kitchen. Ill be back in a bit if you can hang for a while. The walls of Jerrys office are filled with old pictures of him in his fighting days, when he was a champion. He opens a gift box to reveal a dress he bought for Jennifer that he and Danny like very much, but by her expression she doesnt. FATHER Its Beautiful! Dont you think so? 39 INT. COMMERCIAL KITCHEN - NIGHT Ken is drying dishes when Jennifer comes up behind him. JENNIFER Ken. Ken whirls around and is very happy to see her. KEN Jennifer. JENNIFER Listen, I have to tell you something. My fathers making me go out with Danny tonight. 39

Ken immediately stiffens up. He is visibly hurt by this. KEN Youre going out with Danny? Why? JENNIFER I have to. My father insists. He stands there looking at her not understanding this at all. KEN Well, I hope you have a good time. See you later. And with that Ken fakes half a smile and walks away. JENNIFER Ken....dont be that way. But Ken keeps going and Jennifer just watches him leave. 40 INT. MIAMI BEACH CLASSY RESTAURANT - NIGHT Jennifer and Danny sit across a table from each other in a high class restaurant. Danny smiles at her. DANNY This is really nice, dont you think? JENNIFER (sarcastically) Oh yeah, wonderful. DANNY You could at least try to have a good time. JENNIFER Im trying...as hard as I can. 41 INT. REHEARSAL HALL - NIGHT 8.A. UP TEMPO HIP HOP DANCE SONG PLAYS. Ken and Shotsy dancing. Ken misses a step and, starts again and misses another step, and so he just stops. 41 40

SHOTSY Ken...Why are you making all of these mistakes. Whats the problem? Come on Ken, keep up with me. KEN No, no Im done. He begins to walk away from her. SHOTSY But the Dance Contest is only one week away. Weve got to practice! Ken turns and gets loud. KEN Screw the Contest!!! I need some space...... SHOTSY If were not GREAT well NEVER win!! KEN (loud) I know THAT I know that Shotsy! I just cant do it right now, okay?!! Shotsy doesnt really know how to take this. SHOTSY .....I guess. He turns, walks out, kicking the ghetto blaster as he goes. UP TEMPO HIP HOP DANCE SONG 8.A. STOPS PLAYING. Shotsy turns off the light and drops to the floor and starts to cry. SHOTSY (CONTD) Why doesnt he see me? She reaches over to the ghetto blaster and presses it. 9. A SONG WITH SAD, AND EMOTIONAL LYRICS BEGINS TO PLAY. Shotsy starts to dance to it, slowly and poetically, and this contemporary dance routine becomes a beautiful sad and lonely one. We know she is thinking about Ken, and she hurts.

A limo pulls up near the front entrance and The Captain walks over and opens the door and puts out his hand to help Jennifer out of the car. THE CAPTAIN Good evening, Miss Jennifer. you had a lovely dinner. Hope

She answers as politely as she can but with no conviction. JENNIFER Yes Captain, It was wonderful. THE CAPTAIN Dont worry my lady, things can only get better. And she smiles at him as Danny comes out of the car. THE CAPTAIN (CONT'D) Good evening, Mr. Danny DANNY What did you just say to her? THE CAPTAIN I simply wished her a good evening, sir. Danny looks at him, then to Jennifer, then back to him. DANNY Yeah, right. 43 INT. HOTEL LOBBY - NIGHT Jennifer and Danny walking through the hotel lobby. DANNY We still have time to go to one of the clubs. Id love to get a chance to dance with you. 43

JENNIFER Im not really in the mood for that Danny. DANNY Are you saying Im not good enough? JENNIFER No, I think youre a very good dancer, Im just not in the mood for it. DANNY And theres nothing I can do to change your mind? JENNIFER No, not tonight. DANNY Then maybe another night? She stops at the elevator and pushes the button. JENNIFER Maybe...who knows. DANNY Well, at least thats something. can live with that. I

The elevator door opens and Jennifer is about to enter. JENNIFER Well, I guess this is it. Thanks for dinner, Danny. Danny trying to get a good night kiss leans into her a bit. DANNY Well, you think I could get just a small... She cuts him off and gently pushes him back. JENNIFER Im going upstairs now, Danny. DANNY Ahhh, okay, well good night, Jennifer.

JENNIFER Good night, Danny. She steps into the elevator as the door closes. Danny is now alone, and rejected. He sees The Captain staring at him. DANNY What are you looking at? THE CAPTAIN Nothing at all, Sir. Nothing at all. 10. A HARD HITTING ROCK SONG STARTS TO PLAY 44 EXT. MIAMI BEACH CITY STREET - NIGHT Ken is walking down this city street aimlessly. Ken walks down the side alley outside the kitchen and kicks and old box as he goes, then another, and then another. In the doorway to the kitchen sits a Ghetto Blaster. Ken goes into an angry dance routine. One that reflects his anger and frustration about Danny and Jennifer. In the middle of Kens Angry routine we HEAR the sound of Helicopter blades. 46 EXT. Hal Sanders shoots up to a sitting position in his bed scared and bewildered. His breathing is hard and fast and it takes a few moments to get over the bad dream he just had. Hal slides his legs off the bed as he sits and stares at a photo of his son, a young good looking man standing next to a helicopter, on the table next to his bed. CAMERA pushes in on Hals face. He is both angry and sad as he looks at this picture. The loud music noise coming from down below is grating his nerves. He opens his balcony door, looks over his balcony. and below he sees Ken dancing angrily in the alley way. He watches Ken dancing a bit, then goes back inside his room. 55 EXT. HIT PARADE HOTEL - SIDE ALLEY - NIGHT 55

Ken still continues his dance of Anger and Frustration, until finally at the end, he kicks over a large trash can.

THE HARD HITTING SONG 10 ENDS. Ken stands there, breathing hard and out of breath. Suddenly out of the shadows comes a voice. HAL SANDERS (V.O.) You blew it kid! Ken looks towards the shadows. KEN (shouting at the shadows) What? Who is that? What are you talking about? Blew what? HAL SANDERS (steps out of the shadows) You blew the routine right before the ending!!! What the hells wrong with you? You blew it kid! KEN (starts to shout) Ha Ha! YOU old man !!What do you know, old man? Huh? What do you know about dancing? Go to sleep, old man! Its past your bedtime!!! Hal is pissed off. He mutters to himself. HAL SANDERS That little bastard. He turns and starts to exit. Ken turns on the ghetto blaster. 11. ANOTHER HARD HITTING SONG KICKS IN KEN Yeah thats right. Why dont you get the hell out of here, POPS!!! Dancing is my whole life and reason for living. And You dont know the first thing about Dancing!! Hal continues walking away angry. Suddenly, as he is leaving he stops for a moment, hears what Ken is shouting, and then stops with his back to Ken. HAL (To himself) You think so Huh?

Then seemingly out of nowhere Hal breaks into some dance steps, and his dancing is simply AMAZING, like hes been dancing his entire life. Ken watches this in absolute awe. Hal, realizing what hes done, catches himself and stops. He has a questioning look on his face as if even he doesnt even know why, or what, possessed him to start dancing. Obviously it was just instinctive. He starts to walk out of the alley. KEN (CONTD) Hey, hey wait. Where did you learn how to do that, old man? Hal ignores him and just keeps going to the end of the alley. HAL SANDERS (shouting) Just forget you ever saw that. KEN (To himself) Man, that was unreal. That old Geezer! He mustve been a dancer way back when. Wow!! Ken just stands there looking toward the end of the alley as he sees Hal rounding the corner and never looking back. HARD HITTING SONG 11 ENDS. 56 INT. HOTEL KITCHEN - DAY 56

Ken is washing the dishes that are stacked up. The Captain, dressed in a new outfit opens the Kitchen door and peeks in. KEN Morning Captain. THE CAPTAIN And top of the morning to you, Ken. Watch your back son. The vultures are out today. Ken frowns not understanding, and The Captain leaves. Danny comes along pushing a food cart with fine silverware on it. DANNY Ken! Glad you could join us today. Ken answers without even looking at him

KEN I wasnt late. DANNY Relax, I didnt say you were. I just want you to know that after our hot date last night Jennifer invited me to have breakfast with her this morning. Dont you think thats nice of her? Kens face is getting angry but he does not let it out. DANNY (CONTD) Dont you think thats really nice of her? Ken doesnt answer. Danny smiles, steps closer and puts his mouth right up next to the side of Kens turned away head. DANNY (CONT'D) What were you thinking, huh? In what world would an orphan boy like you...a nothing...get a girl like that? Its not going to happen in this life time. Learn your place, boy. And stay in it. Youll be a lot better off if you do. Then Danny backs away and smiles again. DANNY (CONT'D) Now, Im going to go and have my breakfast with Miss Jennifer. You have a nice day, Kenny !!! Danny moves off with a devilish smile, pushing the cart. Ken keeps washing, and we see he is very angry, nearly bursting. 57 INT. JENNIFERS SUITE - DAY 5.A STARTS TO PLAY. JERRY So how did the date go last night? DANNY Not so good, really. JERRY That figures. But I think in time shell start thinking the right way and warm up to you. DANNY I hope so. I would like that. JERRY Just dont give up on me, Danny. Im counting on you to keep her away from that dishwasher kid. DANNY Yes sir, I understand. Im taking breakfast to her right now. JERRY Excellent. You keep up the good work and there could be a junior exec position for you here at the hotel in the near future. DANNY (WITH A BIG SMILE) Yes SIR! JERRY Carry on, my boy. Best not to keep the lady waiting. DANNY Yes sir! A Big smile from Danny as he pushes the cart down the hall.

INT. JENNIFERS SUITE - DAY A door knock. Jennifer stops dancing, wraps a towel around her waist, opens it. Danny strolls right in with the cart. DANNY Good morning, Miss Jennifer. Jennifer is somewhat stunned by this. Danny takes the food cart over to the table. DANNY (CONTD) I thought you might be hungry so I brought you breakfast. Well, actually I brought breakfast for two. I was hoping you wouldnt mind if I joined you. JENNIFER You did, did you?

Jennifer sits at the table and starts to butter some toast. JENNIFER (CONT'D) What part of our date last night made you think I would want to have breakfast with you this morning? DANNY Listen, I know how you feel. You made that very clear last night. But Id like to talk to you about something. It has to do with dancing. JENNIFER Dancing? She looks at him curiously. DANNY May I sit. She tells him yes with a wave of her hand. So he sits. DANNY (CONT'D) I know you are a very good dancer. JENNIFER I like to think so.

DANNY And you know, I am a very good dancer. JENNIFER I know, YOU like to think so. He looks at her for a moment. JENNIFER (CONT'D) Sorry. Yes, you are a VERY good dancer. I have to admit that. DANNY Thank you. Anyway, theres a big dance contest here in a few weeks. And I mean big. The winners end up on television and they get to do music videos and stuff. Real cool. JENNIFER Ive seen posters, it sounds great. DANNY Good, then its settled. Well be partners and... JENNIFER Wait, wait, wait. Who said anything about us being partners? What are you trying to pull here? DANNY Im not trying to pull anything. Im just trying to partner with the best dancer I can find, so I can win the contest. And that dancer just happens to be YOU. JENNIFER Maybe theres someone else I want to dance with. DANNY Youre thinking of Ken, of course. JENNIFER I might be. DANNY Jennifer, Im not stupid. I knew youd want to dance with him, so I spoke to him about it this morning.

JENNIFER You did? DANNY Of course, why would I come up here and ask you to dance with me unless I knew he had a partner already. She frowns at this. DANNY (CONT'D) Hes dancing with Shotsy. The girl you saw him dance with yesterday. JENNIFER He is? Danny nods. Jennifer is a bit confused now about Ken. JENNIFER (CONT'D) He told you that? Honestly? DANNY Cross my heart and hope to die. (pause) You shouldnt be surprised. Theyre already dance partners. JENNIFER I know that, but I just thought... DANNY Theyve danced together in other contests before, and won. And I know theyve dated before too. Jennifers mind is racing now. She doesnt like this news. JENNIFER They have? DANNY Oh yeah, for quite some time. Maybe thats why theyre going to dance together again. I dont know, Im just saying. He looks at Jennifer and he is certain he has her thinking exactly the way he wants her to. DANNY (CONT'D) So what do you say? Partners?

Jennifer thinks for a moment, and then in a moment of personal defiance she decides to do it. JENNIFER Partners. She holds out her hand and they shake. Danny smiles broadly. JENNIFER (CONT'D) Dance partners. Nothing more. DANNY Of course. We can tell by his eyes that he has more than that in mind. 60 INT. HOTEL KITCHEN - NIGHT 3.B. JENNIFER AND KENS LOVE THEME AS UNDERSCORE. Ken is now wiping dishes in the kitchen as Jennifer approaches. He looks at her a bit apprehensively, while holding a large plate in one of his hands. KEN What are you doing here? Slumming? JENNIFER No, I was just taking an evening walk and thought I would stop by and see if youre really going to dance with that other girl? KEN Ive thought about it. JENNIFER I guess he was right. You guys are all the same. KEN You mean Danny? JENNIFER Maybe. Maybe not. Whats it really matter? KEN I guess it doesnt. 60

JENNIFER So is this how you spend all of your summers? Pick up on the new girl in town, and play around for a few days, and then just move on? Then next year the same? KEN Is that what you think? JENNIFER Yes, that is what I think. I should have listened to my father. He told me you were below my station and I should have listened to him... because I think you are. Now Ken is getting angry. KEN If thats what you think, then what the hell do you want to talk with me for? JENNIFER I dont want to talk to you, and I dont want to be with you. Not now. Im not even sure I ever did. Jennifer turns to walk away, but then stops and turns back. JENNIFER (CONT'D) I almost forgot. She rips the little necklace he had given her, from her neck and tosses it down at his feet. JENNIFER (CONT'D) You can keep this. Ill find someone who can buy me a real one. KEN If youre going to walk away from me, then dont bother coming back. JENNIFER I wont. KEN Good. JENNIFER Good.

And though there is a bit of personal doubt in her face, Jennifer turns and moves off. Ken stands there and watches her walk away, and it takes every fiber in his being not to run after her. JENNIFER AND KENS LOVE THEME 3.B ENDS Instead he watches until she is gone and then he slams the plate he is holding onto the floor and it breaks into a hundred pieces. 12. JENNIFER Things could be better Captain. And yourself? THE CAPTAIN If I were any better I think it would be against the law. She smiles half-heartedly. JENNIFER I wish I could say the same. THE CAPTAIN May I share a few words of wisdom and philosophy, Miss Jennifer? JENNIFER Of course. THE CAPTAIN Its always darkest before the dawn. JENNIFER. I hope youre right Captain. We see Jennifer wandering around the city looking lost. She turns into a side street and just about the same time Ken walks down the very same street but doesnt see Jennifer, who is about 20 feet away from him in the side street.

5.B. A HIP HOP THAI DANCE SONG BEGINS SIMPLY AND THEN BUILDS. Jennifer is walking along the side street when she comes across a Buddhist temple. She approaches it, and she hears chanting from the Temple. She goes on the grounds, lights an incense, puts her hands together in a Thai praying position and sits with other visitors and some monks. As she meditates the music gets louder and drums join the Music and the rhythm and beat start making it much more intense. During the meditation, we see her image come out of herself and she starts to dance with Thai styled steps that she has been practising in her hotel room. This number grows into a kind of Fantasy Traditional Thai Hip Hop dance number with many girls and boys also dancing the same style in Traditional Thai outfits. The number ends and we come back to reality. END OF HIP HOP THAI DANCE SONG 5.B. Jennifer is now in her normal clothes, dancing the same style as in her dream sequence, but on the beach. She can hear clapping and looks over to see Danny sitting not far away, clapping and smiling. DANNY Beautiful. Simply beautiful. JENNIFER Did you really think so? He begins to approach her. DANNY I dont think so, I know so. He steps even closer to her and looks deeply into her eyes. DANNY (CONT'D) Very beautiful. She looks at him for a moment, nearly blushing. JENNIFER Sorry, but I dont feel very beautiful right now. DANNY Well, you are.

Danny reaches out his hand. She looks at it, hesitates, and then finally takes it, and they walk away holding hands. 70 71 EXT. ESTABLISHING SHOT - INTERNET CAFE - DAY INT. INTERNET CAFE - DAY 70 71

Ken is sitting at a table with a cold drink and a computer in front of him. He clicks on the name Hal Sanders and a video comes up on the screen showing a young man dancing on an old, black and white, television show. The guy he is watching can really dance incredibly well. Ken nearly falls off his chair. He cant believe what he is seeing. Ken tells his friends what he just saw, and they crowd around him to see the video of Hal dancing. Ken finds another video of Hal dancing and he and his friends sit there just staring at the computer mesmerized and in awe. 72 INT. HAL SANDERS SUITE - DAY 72

There is a hard pounding at the door. Hal Sanders moves toward the door, and he is visibly upset about this pounding. HAL SANDERS (loudly) Alright! Alright! Im coming already! He opens the door and standing there is Ken. HAL SANDERS (CONT'D) What the hell do you want? KEN I need to talk to you. HAL SANDERS Well, I dont need to talk to you. Now get out of here! And with that he slams the door in Kens face. But we can HEAR Ken as he starts banging on the door again, immediately. Hal shouts through the door. HAL SANDERS (CONT'D) (shouting) Go away!!! We HEAR Kens voice through the door.

KEN (v.o.) (shouting) I need to talk to you. HAL SANDERS (shouting) Go away, or Ill have your ass fired! This is your last warning! KEN (v.o.) (shouting) Im not going away until I get to talk to you! Hal is steaming now. HAL SANDERS (loudly) Damn you! Hal swings the door open. HAL SANDERS (CONT'D) (angry) Okay boy, you got thirty seconds and you better make it good! Ken looks Hal straight in the eye and points a finger at him. KEN I know you. HAL SANDERS What? Of course you know me! KEN No, I mean I know who you are and were. You were a dancer. A very famous dancer. And you were GREAT! HAL SANDERS You dont know what youre talking about. KEN Oh yes I do. Ive seen it. Ive seen you dance. Youre all over the internet. Hal looks up and down the hallway, then he grabs Ken by the shirt and pulls him through the doorway.

HAL SANDERS Get in here. Now you say you saw me dancing where? KEN Youre on the internet, old man. Ever heard of the internet? HAL SANDERS Of course Ive heard of the damn internet, but I still dont know what youre talking about. KEN I know who you are. You were a dancer! I Googled your name! I know everything about you. You were all over the television and the movies in the old days and dancing with all sorts of famous people. HAL SANDERS So what? KEN And you were a choreographer too. HAL SANDERS So what? Whats it to you? Thats none of your damned business! KEN It is my business. I need your help. HAL SANDERS Help... doing what? KEN Dancing, HAL SANDERS. Dancing. HAL SANDERS What? What are you talking about? KEN Theres a city wide Miami Beach Dance contest coming up and I need to win it. Thats not going to happen unless I got somebody like you helping me out.

HAL SANDERS Kid, I couldnt help you if I wanted to. KEN Why not? I saw what you did in the alley last night. Youre STILL great! So why cant you help me? Hal starts shouting. HAL SANDERS (shouting) BECAUSE YOURE NOT GOOD ENOUGH! KEN (shouting) I AM SO GOOD ENOUGH! HAL SANDERS (shouting) NO, YOURE NOT! YOU GOT GOOD INSTINCTS BUT YOU DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THEM, AND IM NOT WASTING MY TIME ON A BUM LIKE YOU. The shouting subsides, but the anger still exists with Hal. KEN Please Mister Sanders...please. I wont win without your help. HAL SANDERS Thats not my problem kid, and you cant make it my problem. KEN Please, Mister Sanders. Im begging you man. Please help me. Youre the only one around here that can. HAL SANDERS Youre crazy. You know that? Youre crazy. The answer is no. Now get out of here and dont come back. Ken walks slowly down the floor. He pauses to listen to Hal. HAL SANDERS (v.o.) You want me to teach you how to dance? What about what I want? Huh? What about what I want? 74 INT. HAL SANDERS SUITE - DAY Hal is throwing a fit of sorts and yelling out loud. HAL SANDERS (contd) (shouting) Whos gonna give me what I want? Ill tell you who! Nobody. You think all somebodys gotta do is ask for what they want and they get it? It dont work that way. It never works that way! 75 INT. HOTEL HALLWAY - DAY 75 74

Then he leans heavily against the wall with his back and puts his hands over his face as he starts sobbing. He picks up the photo of his son and hugs it to his chest sobbing some more. HAL SANDERS (CONT'D) I want my son back! All I want is my son back. Wheres my son? He slides down the wall to the floor. The CAMERA pulls out and away from him sitting, and hugging the photo and crying. 77 INT. HOTEL LOBBY - DAY Ken walks head down slowly by reception as if in a fog. ANTONIO To Be or Not To Be..... THAT is the question !!! He hears Jennifer laughing and looks up to see her and Danny passing in the other direction, walking together like they were old friends. Ken watches them, but they dont notice him. He looks at the floor again and walks to the front door. 78 INT. HOTEL - FRONT DOOR - DAY 78 77

As Ken reaches the front door, The Captain opens it for him and he can see that Ken is down. THE CAPTAIN One of those days, huh? KEN Yeah. THE CAPTAIN Refresh my memory, what is it youre really good at? KEN Dancing, I guess. THE CAPTAIN So thats your answer? KEN But, but whats the question? THE CAPTAIN Only you know that, Ken.

Ken just looks at him for a moment then continues forward. Then The Captain calls out to him. THE CAPTAIN (CONT'D) Dont worry, shell come around. You have a nice day, now. Ken looks at him and frowns, as The Captain smiles at him. THE CAPTAIN does a dance step, and with that Ken walks off. 79 INT. HOTEL - OFFICE - DAY 79

Jennifer walks into the office where Jerry is busy at work. JERRY Theres my girl. JENNIFER Hi Dad. JERRY What are you up to today? JENNIFER I just wanted to say, thank you. JERRY And that would be for...? JENNIFER For warning me about that other boy. JERRY Ahhh, things didnt work out too well with him, huh? JENNIFER No. You were right and I guess I was wrong. JERRY Wow, thats a pretty big change from earlier. What happened? JENNIFER It doesnt matter. I was just wanted to let you know that you were right. JERRY Hey, what are fathers for?

JENNIFER So, Ill see you for dinner? JERRY Absolutely. JENNIFER Good. She turns to leave but then turns right back. JENNIFER (CONT'D) Oh, I almost forgot. Dannys my partner in the city wide dance contest thats coming up and I really want you to be there. JERRY Thats great, Jennifer, and good luck. But that particular night I have a previous engagement that is extremely important to me. And I cant reschedule it. Its about keeping this Hotel afloat and staying in Business. JENNIFER (Sadly) Oh, I see. JERRY By the way I own the club where the contest is taking place. JENNIFER (still disappointed but trying to cheer up) Huh, well I guess that means Ill win, right? JERRY Oh no, youre going to have to do that all by yourself. JENNIFER I wouldnt have it any other way. (playfully) But if you wanted to talk to the judges for me... Father balls up a piece of paper from his desk.

JERRY (playfully) Go on, get out of here. Let me get some work done, will you. She starts through the door. JENNIFER Okay...okay, but you could talk to those judges just a little, couldnt you? I mean... He throws the balled up piece of paper at her. JERRY (playfully) Get out of here, you nut case!!! She leaves with a smile. JENNIFER Bye dad Ive got rehearsals. JERRY Bye, bye kiddo, and tell me how the contest goes. (A Beat) Jennifer ! She stops and turns around to Jerry JERRY (CONTD) Im sorry. JENNIFER (Sadly) I understand Dad. She leaves. A beat, then he pushes his intercom button. JERRY Pat, get my ex-wife on the phone for me, please. 80 INT. DANCE STUDIO HIT PARADE HOTEL - DAY 80

DANNY You okay? JENNIFER Im fine...really. DANNY You sure? JENNIFER Im sure. DANNY Come on, lets get back at it. JENNIFER You know what? Im just going to sit here for a few moments, if thats okay with you. DANNY Sure, thats fine. Danny grabs a small towel and wipes his face with it. DANNY (CONT'D) But if were going to have any chance of winning the contest, we need to be rehearsing. Thats all. JENNIFER I know it Danny. Thanks for reminding me. DANNY Hey, I just want to win. JENNIFER Well, maybe winning is not the most important thing in the universe. Danny goes over to her and squats down to face her. DANNY Jennifer, winning is everything. JENNIFER Yes? DANNY Yes, everything.

She looks at him for several seconds, perhaps thinking that she is seeing him for the first time now. JENNIFER Well, not to me. Danny frowns and stands. He does not understand.

DANNY What is this really about Jennifer? You thinking about Ken again? JENNIFER Maybe...but thats not what this is about. This is about... (thinking) ...this is about me. DANNY In that case Ill just go get a drink in the lobby while you work this out in your head. When you got it together come and get me. Okay? Jennifer nods her head and Danny leaves 81 INT HOTEL BAR - DAY 81

Shotsy enters the hotel bar all dressed up and looking really good. Danny is sitting at a small table having a fruit juice. 82 INT HOTEL LOBBY - DAY We cut to the reception area as Antonio is quoting Shakespeare to a new couple checking in to the hotel. ANTONIO Romeo! Eomeo! Where for art thou Romeo? We rack focus to the bar area and Shotsy and Danny SHOTSY Hi Danny. DANNY Hey Shotsy. Whats up? SHOTSY Came to meet Ken. To rehearse. 82

DANNY Youre a little over dressed for rehearsal, arent you? SHOTSY I was hoping to make an impression. Danny motions for Shotsy to sit next to him at the table. DANNY Well, for what its worth, you look great to me. This gets a small smile from her, but only a small one. SHOTSY Thanks. I like hearing that. Problem is... DANNY Im not the person you wanted to hear saying it? SHOTSY Yeah right. Sorry. DANNY Dont be. Its Ken, right? SHOTSY Yeah, all he seems to think about these days is that August girl. I think hes in love with her. DANNY You think so? SHOTSY I do. Do you think she feels the same way about him? DANNY I really dont know. I hope not. SHOTSY Why cant people just see what they already have, when its right in front of their face? They look at each but they cant see it themselves. SHOTSY (CONTD) Its sad.

DANNY Yes, it is. Shotsys eyes begin to well up with tears and Danny, seeing this, leans over and puts his hand on her shoulder. 83 INT. HOTEL LOBBY - DAY Jennifer is now in the Lobby looking for Danny. She sees Danny put his hand on Shotsys shoulder and watches them. 84 INT. HOTEL BAR - DAY DANNY Hey, hey. Its not that bad. He looks into her eyes. DANNY (CONT'D) Youre a beautiful girl and a great dancer and everything is going to work out for you, for sure. She just looks at him, her eyes still full of tears. DANNY (CONT'D) Really, its going to be okay. And with that he gives he just a small kiss on her cheek. 85 INT. HOTEL LOBBY - DAY Jennifer sees this and moves off. 86 INT. HOTEL BAR - DAY Danny hands Shotsy a napkin. DANNY Here, wipe your eyes, put on your best smile and go get Ken. SHOTSY You think? DANNY Sure. Hes probably in the alley. But she just looks at him without responding. 87 INT. HOTEL LOBBY - DAY Jennifers at the door and The Captain opens it for her. THE CAPTAIN Good Day, Miss Jennifer. JENNIFER Captain, can I ask you a question? THE CAPTAIN Of course you can. As long as you really want to know the answer. JENNIFER I do. THE CAPTAIN Alright then, shoot. JENNIFER How come men are such butt holes sometimes? The Captain gets a huge smile across his face and answers her in an almost laughing way. THE CAPTAIN Why Miss Jennifer, you already know the answer to that. JENNIFER I do? THE CAPTAIN Of course you do. You see it every time you look in the mirror. She gets a quizzical look on her face and thinks about this. THE CAPTAIN (CONT'D) That might not be the answer you wanted, but it is the answer. Have a nice day now, Miss Jennifer. START OF A HIP HOP DANCE SONG Ken is in the alley wearing an IPod and doing a few dance moves, but not with very much conviction. He keeps starting, does a few moves, then stops. Hal on his balcony sees Ken. Hes not happy at what he sees. 90 INT. HAL SANDERS SUITE - DAY 90

Hal enters his suite, and his eyes fix on the framed photo of the young man that sits on his bedside table with great emotions. He turns to the balcony and goes out on it again. EXT. HIT PARADE HOTEL - SIDE ALLEY - DAYKen is dancing and messes up the step. SONG 14 ENDS. 91 EXT. HAL SANDERS SUITE BALCONY AND ALLEY - DAY HAL SANDERS Youre gonna have to do a hell of a lot better than that to win that contest, boy. KEN What the hell do you want? HIP HOP DANCE SONG IS PLAYING. Hal is pounding a very long stick on the floor as he counts out loud. Ken and Shotsy are doing their moves but Ken does not seem to have his whole heart into it. KEN Yeah, I need a break. Hal stares at him for a few seconds, then finally. HAL SANDERS Okay, okay. I could use some lunch. Lets all go. 93 EXT. FOOD PLACE - DAY 93

At an outdoor Deli, Hal sits hungrily eating a Corned Beef sandwich. Ken is standing with one leg straight up in the air pressed against his body. Shotsy in another funny stretch position. People are walking by and laughing at them. HAL SANDERS Hey, dont look at me like that. I said I could use some lunch so Im having lunch. I didnt say you were getting any. You can eat all you want on your time, but not on mine. Shotsy looks to Ken. SHOTSY Is he always like this? And Ken just nods. 94 INT. YACHT - MARINA - DAY 94

Jerry August stands in the front of his boat fishing. Danny approaches him from behind.

DANNY Mr. August... JERRY (TURNING AROUND) Well, good afternoon, Danny. DANNY Afternoon, sir. JERRY So whats up. DANNY Its Jennifer. Weve been rehearsing and shes... well...shes... JERRY Shes what Danny? DANNY Shes just not there, sir. Its like shes preoccupied with something. JERRY And you think what, that its that dishwasher boy? DANNY Well, she says no, but I think its yes. JERRY I see. So she doesnt like you, huh? DANNY She likes me okay, but not like that, I dont think. JERRY Well, I guess I could fire him, but thats not going work. Shed just get mad, and probably run straight into his arms. DANNY That could be. JERRY Well, all I can say is do your best Danny. Just do your best.

DANNY Yes sir, i just wanted you to know. Is that promotion still on? JERRY Sure kid... (He Chuckles) And with that Danny leaves the yacht. 95 INT. Ken messes up his steps and Hal is furious. He throws his stick to the floor and stands there fuming. HIP HOP DANCE SONG 15.A STOPS PLAYING. KEN Sorry, Ill try it again. HAL SANDERS (angry and loud) No, you wont. I dont want you to try again because youre NOT trying. What youre doing is wasting my time and I dont like people wasting my time. You got it? Ken attempts to make an excuse. KEN But... HAL SANDERS (angry and loud) No buts. Shut up and listen. You asked me for my help but then you dont take it. Ive tried everything. Youre good kid. Youre really good, but youre not great and somethings holding you back from getting there. The way youre dancing you wont even place in that damn contest. (MORE)

68. HAL SANDERS (CONT'D) (Hal takes a deep breath) I dont know what it is thats bothering you, but until you get past it you dont need to be wasting my time. Im too damned old for this, you understand me, kid? Im too old for it and I wont take it. You can play football you can play tennis BUT YOU CANT PLAY DANCE!

He turns to exit but turns around to say one more thing. HAL SANDERS (CONT'D) You let me know when youre ready to do this for real. If that ever happens. Hal grabs his jacket by the door and starts to put it on. HAL SANDERS (CONT'D) Its a damned shame, kid. You couldve been great. Really great. Damn you! Hal storms out. Ken is stunned. Shotsy chases after Hal. 96 EXT. LOBBY ENTRANCE OF DANCE STUDIO - DAY SHOTSY Mr. Sanders... please... HAL SANDERS Shotsy... please save it. Dont waste my time with trivia and excuses. To be great, to be the best in this or ANY field, you have to commit, be focused and driven...I dont do things half way, and God knows I paid the price. Look at me! Im an old man, and an old lonely one at that!! Shotsy looks away, her eyes filling. Hal softens. HAL SANDERS (CONTD) Theres one thing Ive learned, And Im still learning... If you love something, or someone so SO much, but it doesnt work, then you have to give it up...even if it means letting them go. Dont settle for scraps... (MORE) 96

He turns and slowly walks away. Shotsy goes back to find Ken. SHOTSY Wow, he doesnt hold anything back, does he? KEN (softly) No, he sure doesnt. SHOTSY But hes right you know. These last couple of days, its been like you were not even here. KEN Please, dont YOU start on me too. SHOTSY Its her, isnt it? The August girl, Jennifer. Its her, isnt it. He looks at her for a moment but says nothing. SHOTSY (CONTD) Youre in love with her. Ken looks at her for several moments, then: KEN I am. (pause) Sorry Shotsy. SHOTSY Dont be. You cant help it. And I cant believe Im saying this but you have to go get her. KEN What? What are you saying? SHOTSY Hals right. If you love her you have to go get her Ken. Tell her how you feel, while you can. You may never get another chance. Now, just do it. NOW! Ken steps closer to Shotsy.

16. AN ENERGETIC POP SONG STARTS AND PLAYS OVER THIS SEQUENCE Ken is running excitedly on the Beach Road to get Jennifer. This is a Parkour Musical sequence as Ken jumps over all of the obstacles that are in his way, or blocking him from passing. This scene is full of energy and excitement, and we can see on Kens face how anxious he is to get to Jennifer. 98 EXT. HIT PARADE HOTEL - DAY Ken finally arrives at the hotel and runs towards the entrance. The Captain opens the door and smiles. THE CAPTAIN Shes out at the pool. Go get her. Ken never stops running and looks at him, trying to figure out how he knows what he knows. Ken runs into the hotel. 99 INT. AN ENERGETIC POP SONG 16 ENDS JENNIFER Ken. Ken runs over to her and stops short of grabbing her and hugging her. Instead he takes both of her hands in his. 3.C JENNIFER AND KENS LOVE THEME PLAYS UNDER THE NEXT SCENE. KEN Jennifer, I have to tell you something. Jennifer is apprehensive and a bit nervous. JENNIFER What is it? KEN Jennifer, I...I... Jennifer is anxiously waiting to hear what he is trying to say. He reaches into his pocket and takes out the necklace he had given her before. Jennifers eyes light up as he holds out the necklace. Ken looks down and does say the words but they are barely audible. KEN (CONT'D) I love you. JENNIFER What? Then out of nervousness he repeats himself very loudly. KEN I LOVE YOU!!! This makes other people around the pool look over at them. Jennifer smiles like she never has before. You do? JENNIFER Really?

KEN Yes, really. JENNIFER I love you too. Ken has never wanted to hear something so badly. A guy sitting on a chair by the pool calls out.

GUY IN CHAIR What are you waiting for honey, give the guy a kiss! They both ignore the guy and look into each others eyes. Then finally kiss each other deeply, its a magical moment. In another chair, a woman is sitting next to her husband. OLDER WOMAN Awe, isnt that sweet? Her husband answers in a very sarcastic tone. HUSBAND Yeah...sweet. I remember when you used to be sweet. ONE PARTNER OF A GAY COUPLE Its soo beautiful, Im gonna cry!! Then Ken pulls away from Jennifer, realizing something. KEN We have to go see Mr. Sanders. JENNIFER Who? KEN Mr. Hal Sanders, come on. JENNIFER Wow !! At Hals door. Ken is about to knock, then doesnt. KEN Listen this guy is a little...ah... Just dont let him scare you, okay. Jenny has no idea what he means, but she agrees. JENNIFER Okay. Ken knocks on the door. Hals booming voice answers. HAL SANDERS (v.o.) Who the hell is it? Ken gives Jennifer a look as he answers. KEN Its Ken. Then several seconds go by and nothing happens and it feels as if Hal is not going to open the door. JENNIFER Maybe he couldnt hear you. Then the door opens and Hal is there. HAL SANDERS I heard him. Im not deaf. What do you want now? KEN Im ready now. HAL SANDERS You sure kid? KEN Absolutely!!, and this is my new dance partner, Jennifer August. Jennifer is surprised by this but goes along with it. JENNIFER I am? I AM. Hal looks them both over a few times each, then finally:

HAL SANDERS The Boss daughter? Ha...I see. (pause) Meet me at the studio in an hour. He shuts the door on them but he opens it right back up. HAL SANDERS (CONT'D) And this time you better not be wasting my time. KEN Im not. I promise you. The door has already been shut in his face and it stays shut. 102 INT. DANCE STUDIO HIT PARADE HOTEL - DAY 17. HIP HOP DANCE SONG IS PLAYING. Ken and Jennifer are in the dance studio and Ken is practicing some of his moves as Jennifer watches. JENNIFER Wow, that was something else. Let me try it. Jennifer tries the same moves, but lessor than Ken had done. KEN Not bad. Not bad at all. You almost got it down on your first try. JENNIFER Anything worth having is worth trying for again and again, wouldnt you say? He steps up to her. KEN Yes, I would. You are so right. And he gives her a small kiss. KEN Youre late. HAL SANDERS I am not late. I arrived just when I wanted to. Ken looks at Jennifer and they both grin at this. HAL SANDERS (CONT'D) Ok you two. Were here to rehearse arent we? Lets go. 17.A. THE SAME HIP HOP DANCE SONG KICKS IN. Ken and Jennifer start dancing their contest routine. 103 INT. ANOTHER DANCE STUDIO - DAY 18. A NEW HIP HOP DANCE SONG IS PLAYING. Danny has music playing and is dancing. Shotsy enters the room and watches him until he stops and turns the music off. A NEW HIP HOP DANCE SONG 18 STOPS PLAYING. DANNY Hi Shotsy. SHOTSY Hi Danny. What ya doin? DANNY Just rehearsing a bit while I wait for Jennifer to show up. SHOTSY Oh, you dont know? DANNY Know what? SHOTSY Ahhh, well, her and Ken kind of got back together. DANNY They did? SHOTSY Yeah, and I heard shes dancing with him in the contest now. 103

DANNY That figures. Geeze, now who the hell am I going to dance with? SHOTSY (being coy) You cant think of anybody else? DANNY No, not really. (a realization) Hey, youre not mad? I thought you were in love with Ken. SHOTSY I thought I was too. But I could see that it wasnt going to happen. Danny nods but does not respond. SHOTSY (CONT'D) But that doesnt mean I dont want to beat him in the dance contest. DANNY Yeah, me too. HEY!!, why dont we hookup and dance together? SHOTSY I thought youd never ask. But theres something you need to know about me. DANNY Whats that? SHOTSY Winning means everything to me. Everything. Danny smiles. DANNY Shotsy, youre my kind of girl. Jennifer comes barging onto the yacht with Ken in tow. Her father looks up at her from his reclining massage chair.

JERRY Jenny! Im a little busy right now. JENNIFER You dont look too busy to me. Ive got something to say and youre going to sit right there and listen to me. JERRY Okay...Okay...go on. JENNIFER Father, this is Ken. Hes the boy I told you about some days ago. He also happens to be the boy I love. Ken smiles. Jennifers Father is not happy about this. JERRY Now you listen to me young lady... JENNIFER No, you listen to me this time. And just stay quiet until Im done. Ive talked to Ken here and Ive talked to Danny and others at the hotel too and I know you were behind this whole scheme to get me to fall for Danny and... Jerry starts to say something but Jenny jumps right on him. JENNIFER (CONT'D) Dont you even try to deny it. I know you did it, Father. I know you did it and now I am going to tell you what I think of it... (Pause) Thank you. The Father is thrown off by this. JERRY Huh? JENNIFER Thank you...for caring. I know you were only trying to look out for me and I like that. Youre my father, thats what youre supposed to do. (MORE)

78. JENNIFER (CONT'D) But I am over eighteen Dad, and the one thing you cant do for me is control what I feel in my heart. So please dont try that again. Ken here is who I love and he is who Im going to dance with in the contest. And if we win we win, and if we lose we lose, but well still have each other either way, and if you dont like it, thats just tough, but thats the way its going to be. And Im sorry about all this but it had to be said.

They stare at each other for a few seconds. JENNIFER (CONT'D) I love you Dad. JERRY I love you too, kiddo. JENNIFER (to Ken sweetly) Lets go. Jennifer takes Kens hand and walks toward the gangplank. JERRY Ken, is it? KEN Yes, sir. JERRY Youve got your hands full, Ken. KEN Yeah, I know. Isnt it great? Jerry smiles and nods, Ken smiles back and they leave. 105 EXT. MIAMI BEACH MARINA - SUNSET 105

KEN Oh, just how lucky I was to meet you. JENNIFER I think it was the other way around. Im really the lucky one. The snuggle up to each other as they continue to walk. JENNIFER (CONT'D) Are you nervous? Ken thinks about this. KEN Im always nervous when Im around you. But in a good way. JENNIFER I wasnt talking about that,I was talking about the dance contest. KEN Oh, well, just a little bit I guess. But not about winning. JENNIFER What is it then? Ken stops walking and turns and faces Jennifer. KEN I never told anybody this before, but when my father left me and my mom a long time ago, I felt like there was nothing left to live for. And when my mom died, I KNEW there was nothing left to live for... you know? And then when I found dancing that started to change everything. I found out what I was put here for... And thats to dance. (pause) I guess...I guess I just wanted to prove that Im not just another orphan kid, whos not going anywhere. JENNIFER Well, I already know that. So you dont have to prove anything to me.

Hal enters the gym He looks at the pictures on the walls, a hundred memories that have faded coming back to life, he goes over to Jerry. HAL SANDERS Hey Jerry, you got a sec? JERRY Sure Hal, whats up? Long time since you been in here. HAL SANDERS Just want to hang out and talk to you for a minute. If thats ok? JERRY Go for it man. HAL SANDERS You know, I always remember the first time we met Champ... How times go by like dust in the wind. Ive always admired your zest for life Jerry, your free spirited nature... Darn it, darn it you knew my backing dancers better than me... I think you did more laps on the dance floor chasing them than I did in training! But where are they now, huh? Hal looks at JERRY for a moment and then matches the syncopation in Dance. A boxing and Dance number starts with Jerry Boxing to drum percussion sounds, and Hal Dancing to them. In fact theyre FANTASTIC and execute some Amazing lifts and dance moves. We cut to reaction shots from the audience screaming as they watch Danny and Shotsy dance. 111 INT. CLUB - IN THE WINGS - NIGHT Ken and Jennifer are watching Danny and Shotsy. KEN Wow, theyre so much better than I thought they would be. JENNIFER It doesnt surprise me, though. There is huge applause and screams as Danny and Shotsy hug each other. Then, one last bow and they exit the stage. THE CAPTAIN (As they are leaving) WOW !! Lets hear it for Danny and Shotsy. Ken and Jennifer look at Hal, incredulously, knowing that by the reaction of the crowd, this act could win the contest. The look on Kens face changes as he is visibly frightened. KEN We cant win. HAL SANDERS What did you say? KEN We cant win. Shotsy and Danny were too good. JENNIFER They were good but well still win. 115 114

KEN No...no we cant. Were not that good. (To Hal) Go ahead and tell her. Go ahead. Were not good enough to win this and you know it. HAL SANDERS Whats this all about? KEN Just what I said, we cant win. So whats the point in being here? Hal looks at him with a frown. HAL SANDERS The point? The point is being here. Dont you get that? This isnt about whether or not you can win. Fighters dont get into the ring just to win, they get into the ring to fight. Winning or losing is just the end result. But you damn sure cant win if you dont even do it. This...this is about dancing. Just go out there and dance your heart out and the rest will take care of itself. This is what we were... (catches himself) ...what YOU were born to do. Ken looks to Jennifer and she nods and smiles and then he just looks back at Hal, but says nothing. 116 INT. The Captain dances out excitedly with his microphone. THE CAPTAIN Guys!!, Guys!!, you have all been amazing, thank you all for coming. Lets hear it one more time for all these GREAT Dancers. And now lets see what the judges think in the couples Category First. A girl brings out the envelope. We cut to close ups of his hands and Ken, Danny, Jennifer, Shotsy, Hal, Jerry, Mom, other dancers, all waiting to find out who won. THE CAPTAIN (CONTD) As is customary the judges will decide the couples first, and the winner of this years Couples in the MIAMI BEACH Beach Dance Contest are Mister Ken and Miss Jennifer!! Congratulations you two deserve it! A girl brings out a big beautiful trophy and hands it to Ken and Jennifer who wave to the audience who are going crazy. JENNIFER (to Ken pointing) Ken! Theres my Dad...And Thats my Mom! WOW !!! I LOVE you both!! Jennifer waves to her Mom and motions with her hands how did you get here? Mom points to Jerry and Jennifer gets it. She wais with her hands to him and mouths the words Thank You, I love you. Jerry blows her a kiss with both hands and gives Mom a big hug and kiss. Jennifer gives them a thumbs up. Ken grabs a microphone and hushes the crowd. KEN Theres a lot of people to thank but most of all I want to thank the only person who ever cared about dancing as much as I do. Hes also the man who choreographed our great routine. Please put your hands together for the Great, the one and only, Mr. Hal Sanders.

Hal comes out on stage waving to the crowd. HAL SANDERS Thank you Jennifer, your dancing was incredible. JENNIFER I dont know what you did or said to my Dad, but Thank you! Thank you! This means Soo much to me! Jennifer hugs Hal and starts to tear up. Hal turns to Ken. HAL SANDERS And I dont know what the hell to say to you except, you DID it kid. You REALLY did it! KEN Youre the best. Thank you...Pops. Hal looks at Ken and smiles at him. HAL SANDERS I guess I could get used to that. Youre welcome....Son. They hug and Hal starts to tear. Then Ken hugs Jennifer as the audience screams and applauds. Ken turns and speaks. KEN Thank you for this award, but Id like to share it with two of the greatest dancers I ever saw in my life, who deserve this award as much as we do.
