CHICKEN PICCATA

Tony and Angela LoBianco transplanted themselves, along with

their four children, from New York City in the early 70s. That is when Tony entered the foodservice industry in Ulster County, where the first Angelas Pizza & Pasta was opened. Hailing originally from Sicily, it was a natural progression for Tony to take up Italian cuisine. All he had to do was cook like his Mom and show that good ole Italian hospitality. The LoBiancos eventually opened up a total of 14 restaurants spanning from the Mid-Hudson Valley to the Adirondack region. They currently own and operate four restaurants along with two of their children, Joey and Angela. The oldest and longest running in the group, Angelas Italian Family Restaurant, which is located on Rt. 32 in the Town of Catskill, has been open for the last 28 years. This was the Familys first full service restaurant where breakfast, lunch and dinner is served. In 1994 Angelas Pizza & Pasta in Hudson, New York, was formed in the Fairview Plaza. Everyone has a favorite shopping center pizza joint. Angelas Hudson is just that place for Columbia County. Next, in 1995, the LoBiancos took a slight turn off the Italian road and went into the brewing business with the opening of The Hyde Park Brewing Company located in Hyde Park directly opposite the Franklin D. Roosevelt home and library. The Hyde Park Brewery has long been a staple in Dutchess County, serving World Class Handcrafted Ales and Lagers along with some pretty awesome pub grub. The Brewery, as it is affectionately called, is to this day, still the only Micro-brewery in Dutchess County In 2005 the Family took on the project of resurrecting the famous Skytop Steakhouse in Kingston, New York. The Skytop Steakhouse started as a Brewpub as well, but as of January 2011, the brewing equipment was removed to make room for additional dining space to accommodate the growing banquet business.
