10 Values enriched in the constitution of Kenya in 2010 and indicate 5 importance's of these values to the nation of Kenya Value- Value is that quality of anything that renders it desirable or useful . According to chapter 2 number 10 of the new constitution of Kenya , the national values are as follows: 1. Patriotism It is the love and devotion for ones country which binds all persons, state organs and state officers. 2. Transparency This is a state of being completely ,frank and open. This means that the person is able to open up his/her mind without any pretence. 3. Human Dignity This is having self respect and a feel of worthiness on one self. 4. Equity and Social Justice This is a way of ensuring that there is equality in respect to cases at hand without fear or favour for a person irrespective of his/her tribe. 5. Inclusiveness This means including people of all kinds by being non discriminatory, in that being able to consider each and every person in decision making irrespective of the position, family background he/she is from. 6. Equality This is a state of rule of law which means that each and every person is supposed to be treated equally in his country without any discrimination. 7. Accountability This is being responsible to somebody or for something and being answerable to something concerning particular issue or in a given task. 8. Non- Discrimination This is a state of ensuring that one is transparent and is able to treat everybody in accordance to his wish without favour. 9. National Unity This is ensuring that each and every person in a country is united with peace, love and unity. A state of working together in harmony as a team so as to avoid any conflict. 10. Human Rights These are the fundamental rights of each and every individual which are to be protected by the state at hand. 11. Integrity This is the possession of principles: the quality of possessing and steadfastly adhering to high moral
principles or professional standards.

Transparency and provision to the public of timely , accurate information. Offering adequate and equal opportunities for appointment, training and advancement at all levels of public service.

Importance's of Values to the nation. Patriotism Patriotism is important to this nation because it enables the citizens of Kenya to have pure love and devotion to the country thus contributing to the national development of the country. patriotism enables the citizens to work towards the realisation of their goals through economic development. It enables the citizens of Kenya to live in peace and thus promote proper justice among citizens. Human dignity This enables people living in Kenya to have proper and good interpersonal relationship among themselves. it also enables proper allocation of resources thus promoting good governance. Human dignity enables the citizen too have proper respect among themselves and avoid any misallocation of resources so as to avoid conflicts which may arise. Equality It promotes proper use and equal allocation of resources to every citizen of Kenya thu8s avoiding any exploitation and misallocation of funds. This promotes peace building in this nation through love , unity among citizens of Kenya. Accountability It enables the citizens to live a responsible life in that citizens works towards realisation of their goals and the goals of the country. It promotes better economic wellbeing of this nation because people are able to perform each and every task given thus promoting the productivity of the organisation. This avoids any reliance on donations of Kenyans abroad. Transparency It enables the government of Kenya to have a common rule of law which governs all citizens. In that people are given rules which are clear and are supposed to abide to them. Transparency promotes proper allocation of resources without any discrimination and thus avoid conflict. It also enables the country through the constitution which gives the rights and freedom which guides the citizens in their day the day activities. This promotes proper cooperation among citizens and thus working toward realisation of Kenya vision 2030 and Millennium development goals.
