everywhere I turn to people are talking about Fathers day Preeti : I watched a promo of interview with Chetan Bhagat on TV. Pooja : Who is he? Preeti : Have you watched the film 3-idiots? Pooja : Yes, it is one of my favourite films. Preeti : The movie 3-idiots is based on Chetan Bhagats novel Five Point Some one. Pooja : Oh, I See Preeti : I am getting many e-mails about the ideal gift that I can give my father. Pooja : TV serials & reality shows are now showing Fathers Day special programmes. But when is Fathers Day? Preeti : It falls on the 3rd Sunday of June i.e on 17th June this year. Pooja : Look, Rahim & Rohit are coming Rahim & Rohit : Hi Pooja & Preeti : Hi Rahim : What are you two discussing about? Pooja : Fathers Day Preeti : What are you planning to do for Fathers Day? that I saw a very good pictorial presentation with verses from the Bible. On reading the verses I realised that God is my loving Father and that I am His child separated from Him. I decided to return to God & commit my life to Him. My life has been transformed by this relationship with God as my Father. Pooja : Here comes Roshan Roshan : Hi, to all. Sorry I am late. Preeti : I am shocked to read about bad fathers in the newspapers. How could a father abuse his own child? There are some fathers who are addicted to alcohol, some to gambling, some lazy & irresponsible. Many good dads have no time to spend with their children these days. Roshan : No father in this world is perfect, only the Father in Heaven is perfect. But that doesnt mean we shouldnt honour our fathers. Pooja : Actress Soha Ali Khan, the daughter of former cricket captain Late Nawab M.A.K Pataudi said last year on Fathers day that Abbas the best and that he always encouraged her to be independent. She would be missing him this year. Rahim : I remember Shah Rukh Khan saying that he made the movie Ra One for his kids who love super hero flicks. Our fathers are always guiding us & providing for us. Abba is my hero. Preeti : My Dad always says that he is living for me. He ensures that I get the best dress to wear, get the best education, in short the best of everything in life. His dream is that I become a Journalist. Pooja : My Dad thinks that I could be an actress. Probably he has noticed my acting skills from childhood. I can laugh & cry

consecutively, I can do mimicry; I have acted in dramas since childhood. Rahim : My Dads desire is that I become an IAS. Roshan : Though our fathers want the best for us, we must realise that they have limitations. That is why it is all the more important to look to God, our Heavenly Father for our needs. Rahim : My Dad is very strict. I was afraid of him and did not like him when I was young. I now realise that even when my Dad disciplines me he does it for my ultimate good. His discipline is motivated by love for me. Roshan : The same is true of God also. There is a very good story which Jesus narrated about a loving Father and his two sons. It is found in the New Testament Book of Luke chapter 15 between verses 11 to 32. Have any of you read it?. Rohit : I have read it. I maintain my relationship with God by reading the Bible & praying daily. While reading the Bible I can hear God speaking to me. In turn I speak to Him through prayer. Roshan : To all who receive Jesus in their lives God gives the right to be a Child of God. I enjoy this sweet relationship with God as my Father. I find myself completely fulfilled in God. The truth is God wants to be a Father to each & every one of us. Do you want to be His child. Dont forget to spend time with your Heavenly Father during this Fathers day.
