The project entited News Portal aims at establishing a comprehensive portal for providing news.

This portal is an organized conduit and online,for providing up-to-date news information on the Internet.The portal will consist of sections addressing different information needs.It informs,provides extensive resources,and services online for the general public.It provides a vast range of new opportunities for feedback,customization of content,instant publishing,(hyper)linking,articles etc. It is concerned with the development of a system that is simple and easy to use yet a powerful web application for sharing,managing and controlling the news items in a secured manner.

The main facilities of this project are: Provision for Dynamic linking Ability to read news items posted in a chronological manner. Ability to post feedback,,write articles,etc. Provision for uploading multiple news using single XML file. Ability to search through published news based on date of publish,place or word Provision for users to mail news contents Provision for online reservation and and search different jobsites. Provision for viewing different Games,Jokes and Articles.

The knn process refers to the series of steps involved in the Usage Online news process. 1. The initial step is to define the problem, for which this project can be referred to as analyzing the access logs and obtaining reasonable results that can be used to improvise the success of the News portal. 2. The next step in the process is to prepare the data for mining. This is the most time consuming process and requires significant information about the domain and the focus should always remain on the project goals. 3. Once we have the preprocessed data, we can use this data for mining analysis. The analysis basically refers to discovering the navigation patterns of the users by analyzing the user sessions. The mining algorithms like clustering, classification and trees can be run on this dataset and different results can be achieved. The interpretation of these results is then based on the patterns discovered and with respect to the background knowledge of news portal. 4. The results obtained by performing the data mining techniques on the processed data, should lead to concrete and meaningful suggestions for the betterment of the Online News Portal. In order to verify the impact of the changes suggested for improvising the success of the web site, the access logs of the re-designed news portal should be analyzed.
Online News Portal primary aim is to promote the development and to strive for freedom of the press both within and outside. Our aims to ensure free, fair and accurate delivery of any information related to the news within and outside. This entails the following commitments: 1. To provide fair and accurate news of the situation and developments. 2. To provide features, interviews and opinion pieces regarding all current issues. 3. To fill the information gap between State within and outside States. 4. To facilitate transparency between the Government and the people. 5. To encourage discussion and debate on issues related to any current issues. 6. To provide information and reports on social, health, cultural and environmental issues to our general readership.

To promote a better understanding among journalists of the government, human rights, and social, health, cultural and environmental issues. 10.
