I. Natural Science and Mathematics Department Students Executive Committee (NSMSEC) II. NSM Orientation Day 2012 III. Rationale A new school year opens another chapter in our lives. Its a prospect to be able to meet new faces. The NSM Orientation Day endeavors to acquaint freshmen students in their first step in the tertiary level of education. The orientation strives to promote the level of awareness among the students in their pursuit of academic excellence, spiritual growth, and social involvement. This activity aims to provide an opportunity wherein students can intermingle with one another, get to know with the faculty, staff, as well as the fellow students. IV. Specific Objectives a. To create a welcoming atmosphere that establishes a sense of involvement among the freshmen students and acquaints them to the faculty, staff and among other students. b. To provide information and resources that will grant students the opportunity to create academic strategies and establish healthy student habit. c. To embolden the students to participate in various activities of the NSM department as well as the SAMAHAN. d. To establish camaraderie with the freshmen students and provide a channel for social interaction among the students. V. Mechanics
