STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE - BATANGAS CCTV INSTALLATION Cable Route Final survey and Measurement a.

Survey the area where final location for the installation of cameras and digital video recorder. b. Identify cable route from each of the four (4) cameras to the digital video recorder. c. Use a measuring tape get the distance for each four (4) cameras to the digital video recorder. 2. Cable preparation a. Use RG6 for camera signal cable and Flat cord wire AWG16 for the power. b. Use pliers to cut the RG6 and flat cord. i. Cable length will be based on measurements in 1b. c. Insert an RG6 and AWG16 flat cord inside a flexible pvc conduit for protection during cable laying. 3. Cable Laying a. Use the required safety gears when laying the cable. i. Use helmet, full body harness, safety boots, dust mask and reflective vests to ensure safety at all times ii. Use ladder when laying the cable from one point to another iii. Use the safety line on the body harness at all times while laying the cable. b. Lay the cable per camera as per route based from 1b. c. Use one hole C clamps to secure flexible pvc conduit on the corrugated metal sheet. i. Use a drill with 5/32 size drill bit to make a hole on the corrugated metal sheet. ii. Use 5/32x1/2 blind rivets and riveter to fix the clamp on the corrugated metal sheet. d. Use 12 zip tie to secure the flexible pvc conduit on metal railings. e. Use nail clips to secure the flexible pvc conduit on the cement walls. i. Use a hammer to fix the nail clips on the walls. f. Install a 4x4 junction box in the area of Electrical Breaker switch near the sliding gate at the side of the warehouse. i. Use hammer and concrete nail to make a guide mark on the wall ii. Use a power drill with 8mm drill bit to make a hole for the tox iii. Use 1 tox and screw to fix the junction box on the wall g. The junction box will be installed about 6 ft. from ground level, on the wall to merge the four (4) pairs of signal (RG6) and power cable (AWG16) to a single 1 PVC pipe going to the existing Managers Office where the Digital Video Recorder will be located. 1.

4. Installation of Cameras a. Install 4x3 metal junction box where the pvc flexible conduit will terminate and where the CCTV cameras will be attached. b. Use 4x3 metal plate to secure the junction box when installed on the corrugated metal sheet. i. Use a power drill with an 8mm drill bit and make four (4) holes on the corrugated metal sheet

ii. Place the corrugated metal sheet in between the junction box and metal sheet plate and fix the junction box using four (4) 8mm bolt and nut. c. Terminate the pvc flexible on the junction box d. Terminate the RG6 cable with a male BNC Connector and two port power plug for the AWG16 wire. e. Install the CCTV camera on the junction box and connect the signal and power cables to the camera. Installation of DVR (Digital Video Recorder) / Testing and Commissioning a. Place the DVR on the assigned location in the Managers office. b. Use pliers to cut excess signal and power cables with about 0.5m cable allowance c. Use Philips precision tool and RG6 crimper to terminate male BNC connectors to the signal cables d. Use four self tapping screws to install the Power Distribution Panel on the wall e. Use Philips screw driver to terminate the four (4) pairs of AWG16 power cable to the Power Distribution Panel. f. Connect the Male BNC connectors of the signal cables to the female BNC connectors of the Digital Video Recorder g. Connect 14 LED Screen with a DVI cable to the DVR. h. Turn on the DVR and check if signal from respective CCTV cameras are received. i. Manually fine tune the angle of coverage for each camera to get the desired field of view i. Use ladder to access each camera and at all times be in safety gears and follow safety procedures as indicated in item 3a.
