1. Introduction
New software is now available for HH701 Testmaster 3. The software update is specifically for HH701 that has been converted to a HH705 / HK862, this bulletin details the added features and software compatibility.

2. Detail
HH701 Testmaster 3 software release is now at v4.10. The new release of HH701 software features: Upgraded EUI peak detection algorithm. Auto rate & load detection of EUI under test. Additional results screen. Upgraded EUI peak detection algorithm The EUI peak detection algorithm has been improved by changing the method of how the parameters interacts with each other, to increase the reliability of detecting the peak pressure indicating the NOP (Nozzle Opening Pressure). Auto rate & load detection of EUI under test Software releases previous to v4.00 utilises a pre-derived parameter for the rate and load figures that are used in the calculation of the NOP, which were published on Hartridge application data sheets. Software v4.00 onwards has the option to detect the rate and load each time a EUI is tested thus improving the accuracy of the reading. The Auto Rate & Load Functionality is enabled via the Spanner menu from the HH701 control panel. Once this new option is selected an additional 2 strokes of the injector will be carried out automatically as part of the firing sequence, at which point the rate and load will be determined and used to calculate the NOP. Additional results screen After an injector has been tested the NOP is displayed which is common to all versions of software. As part of the release of v4.00 an additional results screen has been integrated, this can be accessed by selecting the left arrow key when the NOP screen is displayed. This new screen displays the following information Overall calculated load (Injector and fixture). Overall calculated rate (Injector and fixture). Number of individual peak pressure used to calculate the averaged NOP displayed. Accuracy of the calculation used to determine the calculated rate and load.

3. Machine Compatibility
If the HH701 is used in conjunction with a HH720 the following software levels should be used HH701 Testmaster 3 v4,10 HH720 2 Stage Master v2.3 or later

HH701, HH705 and HK862 shipped from Hartridge after 19th Febuary09 will be fitted with software v4.10 to Testmaster 3 and v6 to the AE40 EUI Poptest Control Box contained within HK862. As a consequence of the release of v4.10 all of the parameters that are used when testing EUIs have now been updated. These are now available on updated application data sheets which can be obtained via your local distributor.
