Rational for adopting Solar District Heating in Mongolia Contribution to Urban Environment Improvement
The heat supply in Mongolia is mainly provided from combined heat and power plants and heat-only boilers using coal.
The air quality is dangerously bad - Ulaanbaatar is becoming the worlds most polluted city. In UB, annual average particulate matter concentrations have been recorded at as high as 279, which is 14 times higher than the WHOs recommendation.
