The municipal solid waste per capita is about 350 kg per annum.

The main reason is increase of welfare and consumption basket

Solution: establishment of Tamiz Shahar JSC

To improve the ecological situation in the city; To build and manage solid municipal waste placement and disposal in accordance with up-to-date standards; To develop this area by stages based on the principles of market economy in the future.

The success of Waste to Energy plants depends on several parameters like the characteristics of the waste and the adopted technology
Principles and advantages: - Reverse regime - Sufficient mixing a waste - Mixing of derivative fuel - High temperature resistant metal

Risk distribution and management


Associated risks: The realization costs can exceed the anticipated budget The realization time can exceed the anticipated schedule The O&M costs might exceed the ones that have been assumed The performances might not be at the expected level The quality of the equipment or the O&M performances might cause lack of availability The quantity or the quality of the wastes might not be as expected The project risks should be allocated to the parties who are the most suitable to face and to manage them and this through a proper and fair contractual structure The appropriate risks allocation with the relevant contractual conditions are essential for reducing the total costs and for an efficient delivery
