de la tierra
Antoine Predock has reinterpreted the empty spaces of the desert landscape, the materials of the terrain, the forms of tradition and the inheritance of culture. To a
placid, sober and colorist style which combines the technique of the Modern Movement with the visual impact of the vernacular architectures of the southern United States, Antoine Predock has added technology, topicality and scale when building his new architectural landmarks. Be it the intimacy of a house dialoguing with nature, or the monumentality of a new cultural center, the works here presented try in an unprecedented way to fit into the surroundings of the city and the countryside. Projects, among others, like the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa (Florida), the Arizona Science Center and the Turtle Creek House in Dalascornbine the pub)ic and private, a tradition firmly rooted in the earth and the New Mexico landscape with an avant -gardism drawn from the most advanced building techniques. Antoine Predock's more recent, quasimineral, designs communicate balance, boldness and ingenuity and demonstrate that in order to be rooted solidly in history architecture must know how to drink from every Antoine Predock ha reinterpretado los source and to situateitself tradition between the and the
