SEMINAR, WORKSHOPS AND STTP IN FUTURE OUTSIDE JGI

Abstract Seminars, Workshops and STTP (Short Term Training Program) are very important in academic as well as beyond academic knowledge. They provide a wide exposure to recent technology in world. In this seminar we will come across the difference between Seminar, Workshop and STTP and also about the details of them which are going to be held in near future outside JGI (JIET Group of Institutions) in India. Keywords: Seminar, Workshop and STTP 1 Introduction 1.1 Seminar A seminar is, generally, a form of academic instruction, either at an academic institution or offered by a commercial or professional organization. It has the function of bringing together small groups for recurring meetings, focusing each time on some particular subject, in which everyone present is requested to actively participate. The word seminar is derived from the Latin word seminarium, meaning "seed plot". The idea behind the seminar system is to familiarize students more extensively with the methodology of their chosen subject and also to

allow them to interact with examples of the practical problems that always occur during research work. It is essentially a place where assigned readings are discussed, questions can be raised and debates can be conducted. 1.2 Workshops During the "information era", a workshop describes an office or conference room meeting intended to create or generate plans, analysis, or design to support organizational efforts. Frequently workshops are focused on creating or delivering something (e.g., process improvement) and the sequence or order of the agenda items is critical to the development of

Small groups of people meet together over a short period of time to concentrate on a defined area of concern. The short term training refers to the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and competencies as a result of the teaching of vocational or practical skills and knowledge that relate to specific useful competencies. During the "industrial era", a workshop may be a room or building which provides both the area and tools (or machinery) that may be required for the manufacture or repair of manufacturing goods. Workshops were the only places of production until industrialization and its larger factories.

1.3 STTP The term training refers to the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and competencies as a result of the teaching of vocational or practical skills and knowledge that relate to specific useful competencies. Training has specific goals of improving one's capability, capacity, and performance. It is basically a training program me conducted basically for the development of faculties in their respective fields. It particularly improves the communication, knowledge and overall personality. 2 Differences between Seminar, Workshop and STTP
