Grading Rubric Economics Entrepreneur Project Congratulations young entrepreneurs! Your business idea is about to become a reality.

Now you are going to try and secure start up capital (money) for your business idea. The group that secures the most funding will win this competition. In a few moments your group of four will turn into a small business. Tap into each persons talents as you assign roles. It is key that each member of the businessy work together. KEY ROLES: Each member will be assigned a role below and get an individual grade for their performance. I) Presentation and Interrogation Coordinator_____________________________________________ A) Organize a clear coherent 15 minute presentation _____________ (A typed plan of action is required) (The actual presentation will be 5 minutes leaving 10 minutes for questions and answers) During the Presentation you must: ____1. distribute your flyer ______2. show your web site ____3. show your commercial B) Be able to answer questions about your groups business ____________ C) Coordinate and implement an interrogation of other groups_______________ II) Advertisement _____________________________ A) You must get the investors to realize what a great idea you have _________ B) You must create a web site that must be displayed during your presentation __________ C) A Facebook Group _______________ D) A flyer for your business and perhaps on attacking other business ideas _________ (distributed in class) E) A (30 second to 1 minute commercial) Commercial etc.__________________ (put on a flash drive to play in class) (Youtube is blocked) III) Research__________________________________ A) Provide clear documented and printed research about your groups business proposal. ____________ B) Provide clear documented research about the other groups business idea _____________ IV) Role Strategist: _______________________________(Meet with the venture capitalist)____ A) Coordinate all of the above members of your firm Make and sell a coherent proposal_____________ B) Execute an effective attack strategy on your competition ______________________ (In writing explain your strategy) C) How will the money be spent and how will future money be raised Prove how sustainable and profitable l your business will be (This budget and plan must be in writing) D) Make sure all of the above pieces of the project are brought together in a clearly labeled two pocket folder. Any member of the group whose work is not included in the folder or is late will lose credit.

Not starting a business or competing will be FOUR VENTURE CAPITALISTS Venture Capitalists Tasks: These people search for new business ideas that are good investments) 1. Write a one page research paper on the two businesses that are assigned to you. 2. Have two one on one meetings with a member of the business you are assigned to. 3.
