Residential Programs
Hofstras Office of Residential Programs offers a variety of comfortable living environments designed to meet the diverse needs of more than 4,100 resident students. Six of the 37 residence halls are high-rises, for instance, while two (Liberty and Republic) are low-rises with traditional corridor-style configurations. Four other halls contain suite-style arrangements. Each hall is staffed by resident directors and resident assistants. Our primary goal is to provide students with a safe and comfortable living/learning environment. To ensure the safety of students and guests, residence hall access is limited to students carrying Hofstra ID cards, and the University installed a five-part, campus-wide emergency alert system. Students can live at Hofstra year-round and will find the campus is its own community, with 20 dining facilities, a hair and nail salon, post office and full-service bank branch.
