Name: Vibhor Dubey Roll No. 111356 Organisation: Kotak Securities Ltd.- Broking Division Project Title: Understanding investment pattern of investors across all asset classesMajor focus on capital market. It includes understanding the psychology of clients while making decision about investing in particular asset class and their view about capital market. Survey in all major locations of the city and nearby areas. Under the project we have met several industrialists in soybean sector. The people we met are involved in either production of soybean oil or trading or packaging & distribution. The questionnaire (appended below) was filled up by the above people which mainly ask them about their present allocation of funds in various assets like equities, gold, real estate etc. The survey also tries to solicit response regarding their affiliation to any brokerage firm and kind of service they want from their brokerage firm and we also try to pitch in for kotak securities The further analysis of responses will lead to some conclusion regarding their pattern of asset allocation and the psychology behind it. The next set of people we are going to meet are the real estate developers, Indore being the commercial capital of state has seen real estate boom for past 5 years or so and many projects and townships are coming up in and around Indore developed by local and national real estate developers who have amassed huge wealth due to constant demand of properties in Indore. Survey of these people in real estate sector will give us another view of investment and psychology behind it. The survey is appended below.
