The city of Knoxville is crying out for a soccer center devoted to producing highlevel players who have ambitions to play beyond their high school years . The Knoxville Soccer Academy will focus on producing players who have the ability to perform consistently at all levels of the game by establishing a proven curriculum that has been tested in the highest levels of English soccer. The curriculum was developed further when the core ingredients were put in place when our Academy Director, Derek Broadley, introduced a National Academy during his time as the Bermudian Technical Director. The focus of this Academy will be to develop players in a year-round program based on a European model, something that has recently been implemented at the US Soccer level. This program will support players to reach their maximum potential and to equip them to perform in all aspects of the modern game. The high school season will of course be recognized and included in the players overall holistic development program year, with support areas of diet and nutrition, sports massage, personal soccer specific movement education, speed, agility and coordination education, running along side the obvious soccer specific areas of technical development but this program will also over support in areas such as social and psychological development for each individual. 1

Vision Statement

The aim of the Soccer Academy is to create a learning environment, which enables players to develop their individual skills and techniques to the highest possible standard. This will prepare them for the physical, mental and emotional complexities of the modern game. The Knoxville Soccer Academy takes a holistic view of development of the individual. Equal emphasis will be put on the following areas: l Technical skills development l Tactical awareness l Physical development l Psychological development l Social development The Knoxville Soccer Academy is a forward thinking and dynamic organization that aspires to excellence in all we do.
