Andthesevenangelswhichhadtheseventrumpetsprepared themselvestosound.

1.TheCoptic,foundedbyJames,headquarteredinJerusalem, spreadthroughouttheMiddleEastandNorthAfrica. 2.TheEasternOrthodox,oncecenteredinConstantinople, nowcenteredinAthens.InGreece,theBalkansandRussia. 3.TheRomanorWesternChurchspreadthroughout therestoftheWorldbyvariousdenominations.

Thefirstangelsounded,andtherefollowedhailandfiremingled withblood,andtheywerecastupontheearth(sametypeoffigurative languageusedbyPeterinActs2:1920todescribethecrucifixion,sothis afigurativepictureoftheCross):andthethirdpartoftreeswasburnt up,andallgreengrasswasburntup. Andthesecondangelsounded,andasitwereagreatmountain burningwithfirewascastintothesea(ofpeople,Rev17:15):andthe thirdpartoftheseabecameblood;Andthethirdpartofthecreatures whichwereinthesea,andhadlife,died(spiritually);andthethird part of the ships (churches) were destroyed. Andthethirdangelsounded,andtherefellagreatstar(starsare messengers,Rev1:20)fromheaven(asforetoldbyJesusin,Luke10:18, thisisSatan),burningasitwerealamp,anditfelluponthethirdpart oftherivers,anduponthefountainsofwaters(thetrueGospel);And thenameofthestariscalledWormwood(apoisonoustree):andthe thirdpartofthewaters(theGospel)becamewormwood(falsedoctrine taught);andmanymendied(spiritually)ofthewaters,becausethey weremadebitter(thedoctrinebeingtaughtcouldnotsavesouls). Andthefourthangelsounded,andthethirdpartofthesunwas smitten(TheerrorwassogrossthatthebrilliantlightoftheLordJesus couldnolongerbeseen),andthethirdpartofthemoon(theChurch hasnolightofitsown,allitcandoisreflectthelightoftheSon),and thethirdpartofthestars(themessengers,i.e.,thepastors,priestsand preachers);soasthethirdpartofthemwasdarkened,andtheday shonenotforathirdpartofit,andthenightlikewise.
