Program packages
You can purchase IntegraCAD 2011 in four different packages. Sani, Duct, Termo, Professional, Suite, Premium, Enterprise. The program packages include the same program framework (program interface, CAD, print, database) but a different amount of calculation modules. You can compare the different packages in the table below:
CAD
The CAD moduel can be used to work with technical drawings. You can use drawings in dwg (up to version 2010) and dxf file formats. The program CAD module is completely autonomous and you do not need for any other CAD software to be installed on the computer to work with the drawings. You can create new or edit existing drawings. To find out more follow these links: CAD basics and CAD functions overview
Print
The print module of the program has the following features: - Standard text editing tools - Edit material lists with capability to add products directly from the program database - Translate the printouts to seeral languages (Albanian, Bulgarian, Bosnian, Chinese (simplified), English, Croatian, Hungarian, Macedonian, Romanian, Russian, Slovenian, Serbian, Turkish.) - Export printouts to xls format - Print with print preview function
Product catalogue
The program has an included products catalogue with technical data, descriptions pictures and article numbers. All products are sorted into groups to allow easyer browsing. The calculation modules use the same technical data as displayed in the catalogue module of the program. You can also use these data to edit material lists in the print module.
and a possibility to explore some questions deeper. Program presentations can be individual or public. Getting help for a current issue has never been easier. Program users can contact us by phone, e-mail or Skype and we will organize a support session as soon as possible. You can ask general questions (how to start a program function, avoid problems, etc.) or questions related to a current project. In general, the explanations will be made with standard support projects. For bigger issues, you can send us your project and drawing files and we will do our best to help. If the problems cannot be resolved during the support session, we will transfer them to our standard technical support procedure. Internet training allows for a thorough insight into a part of the program. As a program user you have two options: you can request an individual training or you can join one of the regular public trainings. In the first case you can select the training topic freely but you need to make your training request at least 7 days in advance. In the case of public trainings the topic and date are already set and you need to apply at least 24 hours in advance. Public training dates will be announced on our website www.integracad.com at least two weeks in advance.

This serial number is your private number and it allows you to use the program. Before you start working with IntegraCAD you should contact the program distributor or Impuls ing d.o.o and supply them with exact information on the name of your program, its Version label and the Serial Number (i.e. IntegraCAD 2011 Enterprise, INT50, 4111588392). You'll get an Activation key for starting the program. Run the program and type the activation key in the required spot (delete the zero). If everything was fine you'll se the button OK activated and be able to start working. You need to type the activation key only once; at all other times the program will run without asking this information (in licence time period that you buy 30, 90 or 365 days). After that time period IntegraCAD 2011 version of the program will stop working
Program fundamentals
After the program loads you first need to crate a new project. While you are doing this you will also select the calculations that you need for this project. This is just an initial calculation selection and you can change this afterwards by loading/unloading all calculation modules available in the program. By creating and saving a project the program will make a file with a .int ending. This is your project file and it holds all necessary calculation data like the layout of the building, calculation settigngs, finished calculations etc. To save this data permanently you need to save on a hard disk. If you have installed the program on severral computers you can copy this file and use it to work on other computers with the installed software. To crate a new project select "New" from the File menu or click the icon in the toolbar. The new project wizard will open in a new window. You can now select the calculations you want to do and proceed or crate a new project template with the calculations you most commonly use. You can crate several project templates for this program. From the project wizard select "Custom project" and press the "Forward" button. Check the calculations you want to work on this project and click "OK".
In future projects you can select this new project template form the initial project wizard screen and speed up your calculation selection. You can make several project templates if you like.
Project settings
After creating the project the program will load the selected calculations and setup some basic program settings. After these preparations the first thing you have to do is to create a new building structure. An empty project as initially created by the program is displyed below:
In the upper part of the screen you can see the main menu and toolbar. They include the most common program functions like loading and saving projects, selecting settings, loading/unloading calculation modules etc. On the left side of the screen you can see the tree controls (Project, CAD, Installations, Catalogue) and everything on the right is the main Workspace. The program has four tree controls, each with a distinctive purpose: The project tree - its purpose is to create, edit and view the building and its parts (floors, flats, rooms). The position on this tree often determines to what part of the building some calculation is reffering (e.g if you are positioned on the first floor in the project tree and want to do a radiator selection, the program will do the selection for all rooms on the first floor.)
The CAD tree - its purpose is to view and change different settings related to the CAD module. This tree is generally active only when you disply the CAD module on your workspace. You can look at object settings selected inside the CAD drawing surface or look at a list of pipeline drawing connection errors and warnings. You can use this list to quickly jump from one problem to another which is very usefull in a large project drawing. The installation tree - its purpose is to create, edit and view the building pipeline installations (pipelines). This is the place to add new instalations, floor entry points and manifolds. The installation tree is connected to the project tree (e.g. the program will know on which floor a floor entry point is set) but it is not a copy of its structure. You have to define the structure separately from the building structure. You can for example have risers going through each floor but having only floor entry points at every second floor. In this event the number of floor entry points on one riser does not correspond to the number of floors it passes through. The catalogue tree - its purpose is to enable you a look on the products included in the program database in a hierarchical way for easyer product browsing. You can search the products while in the Catalogue module or use it to create CAD drawings in the CAD module or insert products in lists of material in the print module.
The workspace is right of the tree controls and covers the majority of the screen. Most actions happen in it like calculations, print preparation etc. The workspace consists from five interconecting parts: Info, Calculation, CAD, Print and Catalogue. You can switch between these modules simply by clicking on the tab names. Info is the part that is active when you start a new project and its main purpose is to display information about parts of the project. Calculation is the part that includes all calculation modules that can be activated in the program. To move between the different calculations you have to click on the tabs with the calculation names (top of the workspace). To move inside a particular calculation you have to click on the vertical tabs with the calculation part names located in between the tree controls and the workspace. CAD is the part where you can create and edit drawings. This module is compatible with the drawing formats dwg and dxf and includes most common drawing functions found in specialized CAD drawing software programs. To bind drawings to a project you have to make a connection between the drawing file and the floor it represents. Print is the part where you can create and edit different representations of the calculated data. The print module consists of calculation results and lists of material (Bills of Material). Catalogue is the part where you can view and browse products from the program database. You select different products using the Catalogue tree control and the product data is displayed in the Catalogue module on the workspace.
Below the workspace is an information bar where the program displays messages to the user, mostly about the progress of started functions like "Calculation finished" or "Project loaded". Most actions that take a longer time to execute will display progress information in the information bar.

Volume calculation according to room type and number of persons. In this calculation type, it is necessary to input number of air exchange rate (nr. of air ex.), number of persons that staying in the room (nr. of per.), volume per person (V per. per.) and volume of 1m of surface. Multiply with room surface to get total room volume. Used with the type 1 calculation only if the resulting room volume is bigger than the calculated volume from air exchange and number of persons (V per. surf.). Required values can be written in field or selected from special window by double clicking on field. Depending on data, program calculates needed air flow volume. Calculation print: Select "Print" module on the main IntegraCAD window and then click the vertical tab "Calculation". When you click on that print module, program will automatically create those print calculations which you use in program (e.g. you used two pipe calaculaton (radiators) and heating pipeline calculation in that case program will automatically set these two calculations in his print module). If you selected all calculation in program, you will must use "Move" toolbar with four buttons to see them all, because all will not fit in print window. If you already at the beginning know what prints you will need, you can set them in the main Print menu of program. There are two possible ways: 1.) direct from the menu (shorter display)
2.) or by "Print options" button (in that menu) - graphically displays individual prints
Print editing is possible by program print toolbars or directly by typing and modifying data If later come to some changes in calculations, calculations data must be refreshed by function Refresh print data located in the toolbar. Warning ! All manually entered datas and changes in the print list will be deleted by using that update function. That is why we recommend that first fully complete calculation part and than continue with editing. All prints created by the program are listed by lower left edge of the print window. You also can change currently displayed print list name by clicking on his name. Lists of material: Select "Print" module on the print window (if it is not already active), and then click the vertical tab "Material list". At the top of the window there are buttons for createing and some functions to work with a lists of materials like:
Insert list - create a new list of materials Delete list - delete the currently active list of materials Open - loading already creted material list (document with .ISD extension) Save - saveing active material list (document with have .ISD extension) Save as - saveing the material list under a different name Once you save material list as .ISD file you will can open it in any IntegraCAD program version, change it and save agein The difference between .INT file (project files) and .ISD file (list materials file) is that .INT file contains all information about a project, .ISD file only contains a list of materials, without calculations data, structure object data etc... Once created a material list can be changed at any time, but there is no automatic connection with calculation in which was created. If there is a change of some calculation, the list of material information can be refreshed using the function "Refresh data", or you can create a new print materials list that shows the current situation.
If you need you can have more different lists - made from the same project. To create a new list of materials, click on the button "Insert List" - new window will appear with all parameters for adjustment the new look for material list (insert on one list, on more lists, description types (long, short, without descriptions)

- LAYER -
Layers are primary organizational tool in INTEGRACAD. Similar objects we can associate similar objects in same layer. For example you can separate construction lines, text, dimension lines in separate layers. For every layer we can control name, colour, linetype and lineweight. Layers can be frozen (forzen layer is invisible and excluded from regeneration and plotting) and locked (objects are visible but can't be edited or selected). INTEGRACAD uses specific layers for drawing hot and cold water pipes. If you draw lines in other CAD program, layer has to be exactly the same as INTEGRACAD layer, otherwise collectiong pipeline won't work. Turning freeze on and of on some layers, drawing becomes more clear and it is easier to manage inside of it. Creating layers: 1. Open dialog box manage layers 2. Write the name of the layer 3. Click on button New layer 4. Find it in table below, click on the row and modify if needed. Click on the button Set current to make layer active. Specify area where you want to construct pipeline. Pipes (lines representing pipes) must be conected to radiators/fan coils and floor entry points. Every radiator and fan coil must have specific identification number (they should't be coopied from the drawing, you have top add them from list of equipement) Integrity check of pipeline Turn it on and off before using command construct pipeline. If it is on, connstruct pipeline won't make calculation of pipeline. It will just make check if all the lines are correctly connected in CAD drawing. You can mark pipes, radiators, manifolds and other elements of pipeline. After turning command on, you have to choose element you want to mark (e.g. pipe). Select location you want to place mark (you can see it while moving mouse). Mark is writen like block and you need to use command Explode if you want to edit text. Before generating riser scheme you have to select branch on instalation tree. Program draws scheme of instalations in new drawing (command for generating scheme stays pressed and indicates working on riser scheme). After editing riser scheme you need to save it using standard command save drawing. For return on groung plan you have to turn off command generate riser scheme by pressing it again and after that click on floor. WARNING: compulsory save ground plan before generating riser scheme. Internet training
We offer Internet support through a specialised web conferencing system. During the conference the participants can see the presenters screen and follow the session in real time. All users see the same video output (the presenters screen) and can communicate with each other through a live audio connection. An Internet presentation is the simplest and fastest way to experience the capabilities of the program. Without generating costs and with a minimum time investment, everybody with an interest in the program can get the answers to his/her questions. The presentation will give you a general overview of the software without discussing the fine points. After the presentation phase there will be time for Q&A and a possibility to explore some questions deeper.
