FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When will I receive my cruise documents?
Guests cruise documents provide information relevant to the sailing. You will usually receive cruise documents no later than 28 days before the start of your cruise (providing full payment has been received).

How do I find out about and pay for shore excursions?

You may visit www.royalcaribbean.com for more details on shore excursions and book your shore excursions online. Shore excursions are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and we recommend that you purchase them in advance of your cruise in order to avoid disappointment. Alternatively, you may also purchase shore excursions directly at the Shore Excursion Office onboard. Unused shore excursions are non-refundable once booked. Royal Caribbean International is not responsible for any injuries or losses sustained whilst guests are ashore, whether on organised excursions or otherwise.

What does the cruise price include?

The price of your cruise vacation includes ship accommodation, ocean transportation, most meals, some beverages and most entertainment aboard the ship. All prices are per-person, based on double occupancy of the stateroom. Cruise tariffs may be quoted in local currencies converted from US dollars and subject to currency fluctuation adjustments. All prices throughout this brochure are in US dollars. All prices aboard ship are in US dollars including shore excursions, purchases and any prices stated in your final documents. The cruise vacation price does not include speciality restaurants, air transportation, transfers (except as noted), holiday insurance, tips or gratuities on board or ashore or items of personal nature, such as shore excursions, beverages, telephone calls, room service ashore, photographs medical services, etc. These items may be purchased separately. Please note if you are taking consecutive cruises, there may be some duplication with regard to onboard programmes, meals and entertainment.

How do I pay for onboard purchases?

For your convenience, our ships use a cashless system SeaPassSM. This system allows you to charge all onboard purchases by presenting the card that is issued to you upon boarding. Youll be given the SeaPass card to use for all purchases you make on the ship. At the end of your vacation, the balance will be billed to the credit card of your choice, or you may pay in cash. SeaPassSM is used for all expenditures except for those few that require cash: gratuities (other than bar and wine service), foreign currency exchange and casino gambling. Please note: All onboard charges are in US dollars and will be billed in US dollars to your credit card then converted into your local currency.

How do I check in?

You may check in online at www.royalcaribbean.com/ onlinecheckin. You will need to have your booking ID and date of sailing in order to log on to proceed with your online check-in. If you do not have access to the Internet, please contact your travel agent or cruise vacation planner for more information on how do you check in prior to sailing. If you have checked in online, bring your signed SetSail Pass and identification documents with you to the cruise terminal. Proceed to the SetSail area where one of our guest assistance agents will verify your identification documents and issue your SeaPass card to board the ship. If you have not checked in online, bring your completed Guest Information Forms, Charge Account & Cruise Ticket Form in the cruise documents and identification documents to the cruise terminal where one of our guest assistance agents will process and verify your identification documents, check you in for your cruise and direct you to the ship.

What is your smoking policy?

For the comfort of our guests, smoking is prohibited onboard most areas of the ship and staterooms. A US$250 penalty will be applied for guests found smoking in prohibited areas. Smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, theatre, hallway, or corridor. Cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and never thrown overboard. A guest must be at least 18 years of age to purchase, possess or use tobacco onboard. However to provide an onboard environment that also satisfies smokers, we have designated smoking areas in many of our lounges and on designated open-air decks. You will find out the location once onboard.

When do I need to check in online before my cruise?

Due to new government regulations requiring cruise lines to submit final departure manifests at least 60 minutes prior to sailing, guests are requested to complete Online Checkin no later than three days prior to their cruise. If you do not complete Online Check-in, you will be required to complete this process at the pier two hours prior to the published sailing time. Please note that any discrepancies may result in a delay or denial of boarding. All you need are your reservation number, last name, ship and sailing date to check in online.
