Individual Project Assignment 1 Karen Berry AIU University

Decision Making Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to collect information on how managers engage employees for better commitment and better communication from their leaders to make them feel like they are part of the organization. It is to show that Human Resource (HR) Outsourcing is a program that is needed in many organizations today to help leaders communicate better with their employees and teach leaders how to become more engaged with the employees to motivate the employees buy-in to the goals and vision set by the organization. By bringing in employees that are committed to their organization and leaders will build a strong relationship the leaders and their customers. HR outsourcing is a way to improve efficiency and minimize staffing costs (Mayhew, R., and (ND). With the decline in economy today, smaller businesses will turn to HR Outsourcing. Small business can focus its energy and expenditures on developing product it sells, rather than recruiting staff, an organization can allocate its resources to other areas, like research and engineering (Mayhew, R., and (ND).

Decision Making

Part 1 The difference in business and formal research is, business is based on a method to implement to make a decision after solving a problem with much gathered research about the objectives, and formal is more scientific. Formal research is presented by a researcher to give all Of his/her relevant information on the Hypothesis presented with researched information to support the Hypothesis. Then the research paper (Dissertation) might be researched well enough to put out globally to get others opinions on his/her research paper. Business research is a methology approach to implement to solve a problem. It requires systematic approach that involves decision making that today many managers apply to their work when solving their problems. There are several models of decision making that can be used. The one se use in our assignment was Rational Decision Making Model (Sekaran, U., & Bougie, R., (2009). This is a six step process that involves identifying the problem, objectives, analyzing, implementing, and checking back to see how the progress is going after implementation of a method or system (MGT600, Course Roadmap)Hum Part 2 There are changes today that are affecting business organizations financially, leadership performance, and employee commitment. Leadership and employee commitment really has an influence on an organization as far as service and production goes. Resistant to change by the managers is often seen as a failure of leadership in guiding employees in the right direction for better results of productivity. This resistant of change effects leadership communication to the employee. Leaders and managers should be able to bring out the best in others, lead employees

Decision Making with a vision, and encourage and improve organizational systems According to Fallon, few managers are skilled or effective at creating and managing change (2007).

Today all managers are responsible for communicating the goals of the company as well as developing the companys future leaders to lead the employees to buy-in to the organization`s vision and mission (Spence, 2010). Effective communication with your employees about what is happening in your organization is critical and you must set expectations and increase the moral of employees. Every six months our CEO has a mandatory forum about what our goals will be for the upcoming year. He goes over all the goals of our finance which includes productivity and supply expense. Goals will cover people, service, quality safety and growth. Cards are given out to each employee so they can write these goals down and also some of their own departmental goals and these are placed in time-card holder for future reference. Our goals are given out with statistical values that make it quite interesting. It is very important for employees to feel like that are part of the vision, and once they are, you will see increased productivity, because I have personally witnessed this. Leaders must learn how to communicate to gain strong relationship with employees. Employees want to know what is going on in an organization and what the goals are going to be set to improve on they can become a part of setting these goals, after all it is the employees that keep the organization running and employees that keep the strong relationship with the customers for better service. Today we need employee commitment. These forums we have help the communications among the employees and build a stronger relationship with the employees. Through a system called Gallup survey, we can find out how great our service is to our customers. We can also find out through Gallup how well our leaders are getting through to our employees. Gallup is a

40-year study of human strengths and employee engagement (Strengths Finder, 2007). Several authors agree that if outsourcing is implemented with prior planning, it can result in lowering cost, and increased production ( Elmuti, 2003; Casale, 19996,; Sinderman,1995; & Ranganathan, 2005). Why is it important for employees to build a strong relationship with customers? Customers like to feel your employees understand them. You would feel employees paying attention to the details of the work environment because they know Everything Speaks. Customers would know they are dealing with professionals and you would see an organization that is constantly improving (Snow, D., & Yanovitch, Teri, 2003).
