of the founders of romantic poetry. He was a p rodigical and genius Poet of 19th century England. He was among the four pillars of romantic poetry i n his short plagued life, he was hampered by consumption which was his family di sease and which gulped down his family members his younger brother tom also cont racted his killer disease and while nursing him, he also became a patient himsel f. Leigh hunt was benevolent and was the mentor of both keats and Shelley. Leigh hu nt was the editor of a newspaper named examiner Leigh hunt published keats work in his newspapers in this way keats financial status become better. Keats went to Italy for treatment with his friend in 1820 but his health did not grown better and the next year he died. He was the most extempore poet in romantic history of England his eleven odes ar e the masterpiece of English poetry his death at the age of 26, was the greatest disaster to be fall upon English poetry. In the Background of the poem: John keats has written about the blessing, bounties and beauty of autumn in this poem. Generally autumn is considered to be a specimen of disaster, disease and destruction but he has presented autumn like a fairy tale even superior to the spring season. John keats has given a moral lesson to the readers that however, difficult and agonizing circumstances of life are one should not feel dejected, and disappointed. One should continue relentless struggle of life and attain the fruit of hard work. last two lines of stanza II the poet is expressing that there is a wider press w hich was an ancient wooden instrument of extracting apple Juice. Explanation: In the first stanza, the poet is introducing the season of autumn to the reader s as a puff of fresh gale. He says that the climate in the autumn season is rela tively hot and due to the league between the sun, fruits and vegetables or in ot her words we can say that autumn is a season of ripeness when pulp is rejected i n the fruits and vegetables by the creator and also sweetness is conducted in th e fruits and kernel is placed in different nuts. The poet also clarify that the wines of grapes are laden with bunches of grapes which are hung and placed on the cottage thatches and it is only during the season of autumn that grapes are laden with juice and become the staple food of English people. Similarly large pumpkin are filled with pulp and small apple trees are laced wit h small apples which keep on increase their weight, volume, sweetness and text ure. In the concluding lines of the first Stanza the poet is focusing bee having of t he bees which fill up the honey circles with honey to the hilt. The heat of the sun is also instrumental in ripening and sweetening honey from the flowers.

Stanza ii: Explanation of stanza ii: The poet is trying to remove people s notion that there i s no beauty in melancholy and sorrow. He says that melancholy and joy are interm ingled , one follows the other like a funeral procession. The poet then mentions that there is beauty in the shower of weeping clouds which create beautiful atm

osphere in gloom struck environment. The shower of melancholy freshens the dro oping flowers which became straight. Similarly the poet says that the shower of melancholy can call in only season, at any time to create lush green atmosphere. All the roses are also draped in the shower of melancholy and look fresh and en livened. The create bewitch sight for the onlookers. Similarly beautiful rainbow colors a lso present a marvelous look. Out of this sudden melancholic shower, creep up mo st beautiful globed flowers with rainbow colors. In the conclusion lines of the second stanza the poet mentions that there is ro mantic touch as a repercussion of melancholic shower between the conversation of the poet with his mistress. The rave and routing of the beloved is a sequence o f the romantic atmosphere of the melancholic vein. stanza iii: where are the song of spring?......... the red breast whistles from a garden-craft, and gathering swallows twitter in the skies. Explanation (In the first two lines the poet is expressing that the songs of autumn are not inferior to the songs of spring. In the songs of autumn there is a lot of melody , music and melancholy. They are also very charming and bewitching. In the third and fourth line, the poet is depicting that at the eve of sunset th e cloud is smoking, the atmosphere is heavy and the framers are packing the cut stubble plains and binding them for home) In this stanza the disease infested John keats is addressing the reader and say s that melancholy beauty and joy are entailed john keats says that when there is farewell of melancholy, joy creeps up similarly when there is farewell of joy, melancholy creeps up. Furthermore the poet insist that all there three segments, beauty, melancholy and joy dwell together in a massive and sovereign temple whe re is the cultivation of wines of the most delicious grapes of the world also o n the walls of the sovereign temple are hang among the achievement of the triall iance beautiful trophies which are a landmark for everyone. The chunk idea of this poem is that sorrow and joy weave pattern in the life of a person and both are essential in the life of an individual.
