THOUGHTS FROM BRAD Over the past few weeks, we have dealt with some of the one another passages of the New Testament. We have tackled the themes of Encourage one another and Living in harmony with one another. Today we are checking out what the Bible says about Stop passing judgment on one another. God has called us to be united, which is a consistent theme in the Word. After our time together today, allow me to encourage you to pray about areas of your life that need to change, attitudes that need to be removed and for opportunities that God may open your eyes to be a blessing rather than discouragement to others. May God help you to recognize that others dont always have to think or be the way that you are, in order to be accepted by God. Go and study further from Romans 14 about love and liberty. I think you will find it challenging. Allow me to encourage everyone to consider coming to our Outreach potluck on July 11th. It starts at 6 p.m. We will provide the drinks and meat. You can bring a side dish. Scott and I want to open your eyes to a world of opportunity about how to reach our community for Christ. No matter what your age, there are numerous opportunities to get involved in growing a great church and making disciples. If you plan to come, please sign-up on the bulletin board in the coat room so we know for how many to plan. Thank you! SCOTTS THOUGHTS Many of you may be wondering about the PowerPoint slide that looks like a thermometer. We are raising funds to replace our current projector with a model that will be brighter, clearer and easier to maintain. This will enable us to show video without shutting off lights and minimize distractions during our services. The goal is to raise $10,000. We are currently about halfway to reaching this amount and would encourage you to contribute to this effort. If you are able to help we ask that you mark any additional amount beyond your tithe on your offering envelope to be used for the projector. Coming up on Wednesday, the 11th of July we will be having a pot luck dinner and discussion of some upcoming outreach opportunities. This should be a fun discussion of some simple ways that everyone can participate in making a greater impact in our community. In Him, Scott

BITS FROM BRO. DAVE

KEENAGERS TRIP: We still have 8 seats left for our trip to Ada, Ohio and the Wilson Sporting Goods plant where they make footballs. They, in fact, make all the footballs for the National Football League, most colleges and many high schools. This trip is scheduled for Wednesday, July 18. Our departure time is 9:15 am. We will have lunch at Ryans Steak House, in Marion. Lunch at Ryans will be on your own. (They have a lunch special that is $5.99, plus beverage.) Our tour is scheduled for 1:30 pm. The cost for admission and transportation will be $10 per person. A sign-up sheet is posted. I would appreciate receiving your payments in advance of the trip. If you have questions, contact me. WEDNESDAYS: Starting this week, we are taking a break during the months of July and August. Our study groups will resume in September. Do keep an eye out for some special Wednesday aactivities during these two months. SUNDAY EVENINGS IN THE SANCTUARY: Tonight, our special speaker will be Patrick Hinson. Patrick is a rising sophomore at Cincinnati Christian University. I encourage your attendance as an encouragement to Patrick. Next week (7/15) we will continue our current series of lessons, Pondering the Proverbs. The message will be Handling Criticism, based on Proverbs 13:18 & 15:31-32. Why not be a part of these 6:00 PM worship services. Each week we enjoy a brief song service and communion for those who desire. COMING EVENTS: In August, we will be visiting the Bible Walk in Mansfield, Ohio. On September 11 we will attend the New Horizons Retreat in Zanesville. On October 12, we plan to experience Bob Evans Farm Days near Jackson, Ohio. FINAL THOUGHT: I want to continue to urge your prayers in behalf of your Elders as they seek to fill our need for a part-time director of childrens ministry.

Christ-Centered Worship
We make it a priority every Sunday to celebrate Jesus through our music. (Romans 11:36-12:1-2). We focus on Jesus through grace-based preaching and teaching & understand the Bible is our authority (2 Timothy 3:16).

Church Health and Biblical Balance

Church health becomes reality when God's people seek harmony & live consistently. We expect every member to protect the unity of Christ's Church. (Romans 12:16; 1 Peter 3:8)

Global Evangelism
We are constant to our founding call to worldwide evangelism, proclaiming to all that Jesus Christ is the Savior, Healer, and Soon-Coming King (Acts 20:27).

Fellowship and Ministry

After people begin their journey with Jesus, we will equip them to find a ministry based upon their strengths. We want everyone to serve in some capacity. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27) We also want His church to be the living evidence of His love and power to the world.

How Can I Respond Today?

At FACC we look to the Bible for guidance on all issues. We believe that Gods Word is clear concerning what a person must do to become a Christian. Trust that Jesus can bring you to salvation. Turn (repent) from the sin in your life. Confess your desire to make Jesus the Lord of your life. Be baptized (immersed) in water for the forgiveness of sins and to receive the Holy Spirit into your life. To make this life decision for Christ, we ask that you come forward during our commitment song at the conclusion of the Sunday message. Baptized believers are welcome to become members at FACC by coming forward on Sunday morning or by seeing our Senior Minister to discuss this further. We ask that you complete a series of Curious classes to help you better understand what you are committing to as a member.

Discipleship
We do not want you to "get religion" here at Fifth Avenue Church of Christ in Lancaster. We are all about teaching you that Jesus seeks a daily relationship with Him through a life of obedience. In other words, we want to see the things you are taught actually change your lifestyle & your daily decisions.

Social Conscience
We place high value on the sanctity of human life, of Biblical marriage and morality, and we welcome ethnic diversity (Isaiah 56:7; Philippians 2:15-16).
