How are certificates and/or qualifications evaluated? We are using the following measures: 1. The country and institute from which the certificate was awarded. 2. The level of international recognition of the certificate. 3. The time interval and content of the study. 4. The presence, absence, continuous or stoppage of clinical practice and/or practical training as relevant to the type of licensure request. Are the MOH standards for evaluation processes compulsory? All processes are mandatory and all health professional licensed via MOH must fulfill with the requirements. How were these processes created? These processes are outcomes of incessant research and consultation with: 1) National and International, federal and local health regulatory bodies and licensing groups. 2) Professional societies and organizations. 3) Academic universities, institutions and colleges. 4) Individuals, experts and professionals. What is the Good Standing Certificate? It is an official letter issued by the medical association from the country of last employment in case of employees of the private sector. Furthermore, the employees from the government sector (MOH) can get the certificate from the Medical Licensing Department in the MOH. The certificate is only valid for three (3) months from date of issue. What is the Mechanism to issue a good standing certificate? Mechanism to issue the good standing certificate needs to provide the following documents: 1. Letter from the employer: If private sector/medical facilities, the letter must be signed by the director and attested by the district. If government/medical facilities, the letter must be signed and attested by the director of the hospital. A copy of MOH evaluation. A copy of attested qualifications and transcript certificates. A passport copy.

What are the MOH guidelines on discontinuation of practice for health experts? From 2-3 years of discontinuation of practice: A health professional must provide a detailed, official and documented explanation of the time interval, type, and dates of his/her professional clinical after the discontinuity. The maximum termination period is 3 years. All health professions who suspend clinical practice must go through a clinical evaluation by the MOH and may be subjected to a period of training for 6 - 12 months. Over 3 years of discontinuation of practice Any Non-National candidate who has more than 3 years of discontinuation of practice is disqualified for licensing. Any UAE National applicant who has more than 3 years of termination of practice must go through official clinical evaluations by the MOH and may be subjected to training repetition. How to evaluate Academic Health Professionals? An Academic Health Professional considered as new evaluation and must register online via the Examination and Evaluation System (EES) and should pay the required fee.
Candidates who knowingly submit falsified and fabricated documents will be liable for prosecution as per UAE Federal Law. This would also include an automatic cancellation of the licensure processes and/or if licensure is already issued by the MOH
