Situation:

Example: Site 6033A is not carrying any service affecting alarm but SSV team claim that they are unable to make PS call from that site.

Troubleshooting:
First: Query the performance for site 6033A. Normally to be easy, just query the previous day performance. Normally query the cell performance for UO_PS RRC attempt, UO_PS RRC success, UO_CS RRC Attempt, UO_PS RAB success. Steps are shown below.

Step 1: Performance -> Performance Data Query > it will show a popup window that's shows below.

Step 2: At the popup windows, Object Selection tab find the site that SSV team requested. Below, we use site 6033A as an example.

Step 3: At the Time Selection tab, select the time.

Step 5: Performance query as per requested is shown below. As an example, site 6033A performance is show below. Below we can see the there are 4 cell is not having RRC attempt and RRC success. Therefore we suspect that there is a faulty BPK card at site.

Remark: This solution is only applicable for site that is having more than 1 BPK card. If the
site is having only 1 BPK card, every serving cell should not be servicing. Second: From the above performance query, we can confirm that this site 3G is having problem. As we suspect that there is a faulty BPK. To make sure which BPK card is faulty, we manually assign each CELL to a specific BPK card. After doing that, the site is left on air for half an hour, and another performance query is gain. Third: From that we are able to make sure which BPK card is not performing. Therefore we can assign a PIC to replace a new BPK card. By the same time, manually change the site script to assign the performing BPK to replace the faulty BPK. After the script is changed, monitor the site performance to show that the other BPK are servicing normally. After the faulty BPK card has physically changed, kindly change backs the CELL to auto assign BPK card. Below print screen is to show where we change the script to manually assign BPK or auto assign.

Edit the site MO data. At the ULocalCell tab.

For auto change all to 1, for manual assign change all to 0

Key in the assign BPK card number.

Go to Data View we can check the assigned BPK for the Cell. The print screen is shown as below.

It is shown that this site is set to automatically assign BPK. As the assigned BPK is 6 and 8.

Remark: Once the site is temporary manually assign BPK for every cell or the faulty BPK
card is replaced; the performance of the site should be monitored, to show that the site service is normal. When the performance of the faulty site is back to normal, give SSV team a feedback.
