Induction Set

: (5minutes) 1. Teacher starts the class by recalls back what they have learn on previous class. Teacher shows some of the example involving pressure. 2. For induction set, teacher shows experiment involving atmospheric pressure. Glass with full of water and the cardboard on the top of the glass. When the glass are turned over, the water and the cardboard didnt fall down. This is situation in terms of atmospheric pressure.

Step/ Time Step 1 (10minutes)

Content Problem solving involving pressure in gas

Teachings and Learning Activities Teacher shows example starts with problem solving involving atmospheric pressure before pressure in gas. After teacher have shows the example, teacher asks student to complete the exercise given by teacher. Then teacher discuss the problem solving with student. Teacher guides those students who are weak in concept. Pgas = Patm + Pliquid Pgas = Patm + hg Pgas = Gas Pressure Patm = Atmospheric Pressure g = Gravitational Field Strength Teacher explains to student the pascals principle states that a pressure applied to confined fluid is transmitted equally in all direction throughout the fluid. P1 = P2 F1 = F2 A1 A2 Where F1 is the force applied over the input piston of area A1 and F2 Is the force produced at the output piston of area A2 There are so many example of gas pressure the student could see and experience it. Teacher explains to student one of the gas properties is when the temperature inside the container increases, the gas particles gain kinetic energy and move faster. Teacher shows example starts with problem solving involving Pascals pressure. After teacher have shows the example, teacher asks student to complete the exercise given by teacher. Then teacher discuss the problem solving with student. Teacher guides those students who are weak in concept. As conclusions, teacher asks student to conclude what they have learnt today.
