Introduction In today's highly competitive world a ey question facing virtually ever y organization is, how to ma e and maintain a competitive

advantage. Changing in the world and economy have imposed the human resources as ey factors for ma in g and maintaining competitive advantage. Therefore, the success of any organizat ion increasingly depends on the organization's people -embodies, now-how, whic h includes the nowledge, s ills, and abilities embedded in an organization's em ployees. Moreover, employers compete at the labor mar et in order to attract hig h quality professionals. Today, due to the global economic recession, the effec tiveness issue has become the matter of primary concern both for business entrep reneurs and economic researcher. Therefore, at the same time, organizations have to be aware of economic, technological, social, legal, and global issues that e ither facilitate or constrain their efforts to achieve organizational goals. (Be lcourt et al, 2002). Hence, screening and selecting the best employees from such a diverse wor force whose nowledge, s ills and ability are aligned with the organizational goals and objectives is really essential to the success of all organizations. Research in Human Resource management has also established that the success of any orga nization is highly influenced by the calibre of its human resource, which in tur n , is affected by the organization's human resource management practices. As a result, effective human resource practices, including ey policies and procedure s are essential in setting the ground rules for an organization. This paper will draw attention on the importance and value of human resources an d its contribution both in the organization and to the society. It will be expla ined in this paper how organizations benefit from human resource practices, and after all, a single human practice will be demonstrated to fulfill the overall c ontribution to the success of the organizations. The purpose of this paper is to define the way HR serves both the organization a nd the society. The contribution of HR to the overall business model will be dis cussed along with the general principles of the effective HR policy. Moreover, t he system of HR measurement will be proposed to evaluate effectiveness and disco ver problem issues to deal with. In addition to that, the input of a particular HR practice will be demonstrated in regard to the overall contribution to busine ss operations.
