Installation and Integration Services

Statement of Work
1. OBJECTIVE
The objective of this Quantum Statement of Work (SOW) is to describe a standard installation and integration process as detailed in Section 2 Scope of Engagement.

2.

SCOPE OF ENGAGEMENT

For the purpose of this engagement, the Customer is the party issuing the Purchase Order and acknowledging the fulfillment of this SOW. All Term and Conditions apply as described in Quantums Price Quote or Customers applicable separate signed agreement with Quantum. Any services provided by a Reseller or another third-party are not governed by this SOW. Quantums role is the deployment of Quantum-specific product configurable parameters and features. Quantum configurable parameters and features will be implemented such that the Quantum components will be presented and available to the Customer SAN for Host Operating System device discovery and backup application configuration. Quantum will make reasonable commercial effort to resolve multi-vendor systems integration issues. However, this SOW does not oblige Quantum to assume the role of a Systems Integrator. The tasks to be performed by Quantum under this Statement of Work (SOW) will be only those tasks described in Section 3 Phases of Work, and will include only the Customer site(s) listed on the Customer Purchase Order:

3.

PHASES OF WORK

Quantum will perform the tasks under this SOW using a phased approach: Phase 1 - Implementation Kickoff Meeting Phase 2 Library/VTL Hardware Installation Phase 3 SCSI/Fibre Channel Integration Implementation Phase 4 - Implementation Closeout

The tasks and deliverables associated with each phase are as follows:

PHASE 1: IMPLEMENTATION KICKOFF MEETING

Upon conclusion of the Sales process and completion of the Pre-Sales Engineering Architectural design, an Installing Systems Engineer will be assigned to initiate an installation planning meeting with Customer contacts. The objective of this meeting is to finalize installation tasks, responsibilities and the hardware installation/ integration schedule. Pending availability, this meeting may be facilitated with a face-to-face meeting, conference call or online presentation session (i.e. WebEx). During this meeting, the Installing Engineer will confirm Customer readiness with regard to Installing Systems Engineer access requirements, physical facility requirements, Customer configuration, and Customers completion of the Pre-Install Checklist (if applicable). Agenda: Review the design as architected in Quantum Pre-Sales Engineering consultations Review Customer and Quantum resource tasks/requirements Review Pre-Install Checklist (If applicable) Discuss system downtime requirements, if applicable Discuss status of Quantum tasks (Section - 4) and Customer tasks (Section 6) Review Customer acceptance criteria Review the Quantum Customer Knowledge Transfer
